Just as I realise that me and Patchouli are enemies, this shows up - and it smells like Green Chartreuse. My favourite drink, even over Mead, which I am crazy about. But I don't want to smell like it All the time - it smells awesome and dark and slightly sinister and the patchouli is - for the first time - not nasty and foul on me. I Really enjoy this smell, it is fantastic, and someting I will wear when intimidating my little brothers new girlfriends; it really fits the part of scary, insane but magnetic and powerful, which is something I like to imprint on his women (this sounds bad; but he has lousy taste in women and always ends up with little babydolls who cheat on him or just want him for the money, which he has a fair amount of - I like to make them aware that even if HE can be used, there's far worse things around the corner...and this is that smell; the far worse thing around the corner <3 )

My car was called Goblin and he was made of love and beauty and sunbeams. So I bought this, but it is nothing like him. I love the coconut, but I have now finally identified that Patchouli and me will never be friends - I shall avoid all blends that has it from now on - sad that, loved the name. I can imagine for someone who Likes Patchouli, that this would be awesome though, cause it is a soft, smooth nice smell - just, it doesn't fit me at all.

These LE's don't sell as Imps - I misunderstood this, and ordered it as an Imp, but the lovely (and truly helpful) lab people informed me of my misunderstanding and even let me alter my order and add payment via Paypal This is how I ended up with a full bottle of Pumpkin Princess. I scanned the reviews here, growing ever more nervous as a majority seem to hold some breath of...disappointment? This is tricky for me, and this review will be VERY hard to read - because out of the notes in this one, I know only how Vanilla, Red Currant, Raw Honey and Chocolate actually smell. Pumpkin, Guava, Amber and Tiare are completely new to me, and Meringue...I never attributed a smell to that in my mind. So the entire review will have to work with my rather narrow references to color, temperature, feelings and textures. Please, if you do read, understand that if I say "smells like an autumn-leaf looks" that is what I mean - I do not mean the smell of leaves, I mean the look and the smell are somehow linked in my mind If this is not taken into account, this text will fill no purpose and may confuse and disappoint. So - my Pumpkin Princess. I smelled it in the bottle first, and I didn't like it at all, because it smelled almost exactly like the heavy, soft bread that my grandmother used to have sent from USA for Xmas. I didn't much like those... When I applied it - sparingly, due to my dislike of the initial smell, it smelled the same, and I remembered the uncomfortable pressure in my chest from eating that horrible Xmas bread as a child. Yet, amazingly, I was almost shocked as the initial heavy-soft-bread-cloud started to disperse, and something deliciously sparkly and orange - it smells like autumn-leaves LOOK, not like they smell; flaming, almost otherworldy and precious - started to come out. I have no idea what it is, but I love it. After a while of that, my mind keeps filling with images of eating some dripping, but ever so slightly stringy and textured fruit - it just gives me that feeling. Are pumpkins like that in texture? I hope they are now... This fruit-Texture (not smell) is then topped with something almost like cotton candy, only gooier and wetter, possibly like WET meringue? - and far more delicious. In this stage, almost all my associations are foody; pie, tea, fruit, but also autumn-sun through hazy clouds falling on orange and yellow and red trees, turning them into gems and gold. I loved that - I even put some on before bed (I normally can't sleep wearing anything - clothes or perfume or jewellery or anything at all) and after the initial 5 minutes of heavy, soft bread, I felt myself falling asleep gently safe in an autumn forest (!) I love-love-love that stage - and I will be buying a second bottle - and maybe a third - this one I want to keep around for as long as I can and I already Hate that it is LE That, yesterday, was then love - and then, I woke up this morning and my skin is simply SHIMMERING - the smell has somehow developed over night, and I wake up to a soft, pale golden shimmer, tinted with what at least Feels like small, perky flowers and wet dew - it doesn't really smell wet at all, and I apologize if this is confusing, but it Feels like those mornings. In my mind, smells are strangely connected to colors and Images, so - just in case this all sounds weird. The others I have loved are all connected to situations in my mind (O or Vasilissa for sex or seduction, Troll for cuddles and cozying, Kitsune-Tsuki for being Beautiful, Hollywood-Babylon for gigs and concerts, Bordello for days where I can't find my spark and faith in myself) but this one...this one I could wear every day, all day, always - all situations. So I am sorry this is a long and maybe confusing review - but I loved Pumpkin Princess and I wanted to shout my love from the rooftops :love!: Edit: wrote this two days ago, now I am PMS'y - me and PMS means Kitsune-tsuki smells like sharp soap, O smells like Steel wool, Bordello smells like old lemons - short version, PMS makes everything smell BAD on me! Pumpkin Princess, however, smells like wet leaves on the ground in a forest in autumn, when you go out to pick mushrooms for food. Incredible! I sniffed a pumpkin yesterday in a shop, to find out what they smell like, and I suspect it is that smell that gets...tweaked...by my PMS to smell like mushrooms. But very faintly and very Nice - this is made of so much win I can't even begin to describe it !

Firstly; No offense, but I am SO glad to never have encountered all these candies and stuff you people seem to mention all the time - like "Jolly Rogers" and "Nerds" and "Starbursts"and so on, as it seems to ruin so much of the impression for so many. To me, this didn't smell like the description - I get fresh, juicy plum, the black currant lies over it as an almost citrusy sparkle, the wine being a very base flow through the entire smell, and the Amaretto smells more like buttered nuts(if that makes sense) than booze. Overall, if feels deeply velvety-purple with pale, pale gold borders, and black lace, but nothing tied up, no faked - or real - lust, or even decadence, as such. More...almost something I'd put on some Matriarchal-religions-Priestess in a fantasy-book. So maybe it's just my symbol-world not matching that of the creator (to match that description, I would require something a bit more incensy-and-almost-sweat-toned) - I still adore this smell and will be buying a Big bottle next time I make an order

This was my first bottle - bought unsniffed simply because we share name, down to the very last letter. A perfume named for me would have to be perfect, after all. And then I opened it and - Ouch! Sweet, so sweet my brain felt like someone tipped a bucket of the sugar-syrup apricots are CANNED in over my head - and screechy; Apricot by the boatload, all stomped and mashed and dripping all over the place. Overpowering and just...horrible. That was my first impression; too strong, too sweet, too vibratingly There. Tonight though, for some odd reason, I decided to try again - maybe because I never was a quitter. And now...it's all different. The apricots are fresh instead of canned in syrup, they are sliced, in a clean bowl in the sunlight and topped with cold, whipped cream and a shiny silver spoon to lick with the tip of your tongue. There's something round and soft and...curious about it all, like...well, sorry to go completely hippie, but - like when you are in that age (whenever it was for you) where you start noticing that your body is...different - you become more aware of it, it brings you joy to be alive and feel the muscles working and the balance in your neck and hips and how you can dance - and notice how people look at you because you are alive and young and bursting with...power, of the most subtle yet bubbling way. That's it. I hated this to begin with, but now it makes me feel 10 years younger - and not in a sad, old-woman-wishing-way - but like "hey, 30 is no age - you're still strong and smooth and quite magical in your own right" - amazing

I'd go with Hollywood-Babylon. That said, I haven't tested it while sweaty, so I can't make promises - but it smells VERY promising for this sort of thing when on normally Or Blood Kiss - that one I Have tried and it stayed strong, didn't get sweated off, and smelled lovely all night

So, my Imps arrived - and one bottle bought unsniffed. I also got Frimps. I know the reviews forums are for reviews, so this is more for my own sake. Troll - Cuddly, warm and loving scent. Like lying in a grassy hill in the sun with someone you love, and just lazying. Imp - Bubbly and happy, but too faint for my liking. Fae - Liquirice and forest, on me - I find it gets better when layered with Yggdrasil. Bewitched - Fruity and nommy, but too sweet and slightly artificial. Kitsune-Tsuki - LOVE at first smell, and then that love lasted all through night, into the morning, when I with a heavy heart washed it off to try my other imps. It makes me feel happy, pretty and Alive. O - This is my new seduction-smell. I'll wear this for nights bound to end in sex. I want to rub it all over myself and just sit and enjoy it. Vasilissa - Pink, chewy caramel, delicious, to me, the effect is a mix of O and Kitsune-Tsuki, only not as strong on either "side" as either of them. Fenris Wolf - Tried this on the man/friend - it smelled like flowery old-woman perfume. On me, it smells wodsy and VERY Male. Sigh. Yggdrasil - Tried this on the man/friend, and it smelled girly and bubbly. On me, it smells first like a young tree with the bark scraped, and is Absolutely delicious, but then goes Flowery after it dries down, and not in a way I like - sigh. Black Phoenix - Something to wear on days when everything seems Wrong. It is definitively very uplifting. Hollywood Babylon - Perfect for concerts (at least for me, as I just go see metal and/or aggrotech/industrial/similar Vixen - Did not like. Unsure why. It was just not for me. Voodoo - same here, not my thing - there's nothing Wrong with it, it just doesn't get along with me, and gets headachy and too strong. Horn of Plenty - oversugared candy-icelolli. Not my thing. Black Forest - Spiky, oddly pleasant on the cooldown, but not enough to win my heart. Blood - Headache. Robin Goodfellow - starts out almost perfect, unisexY, then it hangs more like a shimmer than an actual smell, and it went girly on me. I'll need to re-test it before deciding. Katharina - I wanted to love this, because we share name, spelling included, but it's just Too sweet, and Too...frail. It's not me. So, out of 19 smells: 3 Bottles to be bought: O, Kitsune-Tsuki and Troll. 5 imps to be kept and possibly bought in bottle if they stay in my favour: Robin Goodfellow, Hollywood-Babylon, Bewitched, Black Phoenix and Vasilissa. And 11 that I either disliked or that just didn't do it Enough for me: Katharina, Voodoo, Vixen, Blood, Black Forest, Horn of Plenty, Yggdrasil, Fenris Wolf, Imp, Fae and ...I can't figure out which one is missing... I think this is a pretty good turnout to be honest; all of these were bought blindly based on recommendations or hunches, and some (no less than SIX of them) were frimps. So out of the original 13 I bought, only 8 were less successful - that's Really good Now, to sniff out someone - pref. in Europe - that wants to swap.

Imp, bought as I was looking for a perfume matching the idea of the Swedish Huldra (stupidly beautiful women, with fox-tails and a hole in their back, that lure men into the forest and then turn around, to become invisible, and the men are Lost) The bad stuff first; this comes Dangerously close to smelling like soap on me - but that's only if I stick my nose Into my wrist, so it's not really worth note. The Good stuff, however - this is bubbly, lively, juicy, swirly and so Very alive - I read that others got Pear from it, even though there is none in it, and I have to agree; like crispy, white, wet pear-flesh - only it's not actually pear to me, just the IDEA of pear, if that makes sense, it's like Really nice jasmine with thick, lush, delicious plum juice streaming over it. It's stupidly wellmade, and it smells of flowers and fruit at the same time, without either overpowering the other. It makes me Happy - it is empowering and incredibly encouraging and makes me feel Pretty (which is a rare thing for me) I was always of the opinion that I couldn't wear fruity or flowery stuff - BPAL and Kitsune-Tsuki have changed that opinion and I am sooo happy <3 Bottle. Totally. ETA: My first review was written September 2011 - now, almost a year later, this has turned into my go-to-scent. I know a lot of people think Kitsune is a bit too bright - I've found that layering it with "Black Forest" from Solstice Scents makes it Perfect. I imagine other dark chocolate-tobacco-wood'sy oils might layer as well with it - and it should be tested, because it is damn near Perfection. I had quite a giggle when I realised that I was looking for something to match a Huldra - and what I did was I placed a Kitsune-tsuki in a Black Forest - and achieved exactly what I was looking for to begin with. Even the two names rhyme with the image in my head

I can stop looking now - O is everything I wanted and more. I disliked the book, because I don't appreciate a Weak sub (and to me, she is - the way she falls apart at being left, the way she needs him to Have an existance - weak women, weak subs of any gender, weakness - offends me. This is not weak! It is sexy, it is inviting, it does have something rather sub'y and inspiringly welcoming about it, but also decadent and experienced, intoxicating and very Present smell - and I can't wait to see the male again next month, as I'll wear O and not much else Edit; this was a frimp. I thought all the notes in it were too soft and "pleasant" for me - I may have to change my mind. And clearly, I need a bottle. --- Second edit - I know others have mentioned it, but this also works Miracles for being layered with just about Everything; sharp smells become rounder, heavy smells become lighter, faint smells become stronger - fantastic ---- Third edit - wearing O today, as I was getting a bit nose-tired of all my New stuff, and O is very soft and nice to my nose. I applied it Exactly 10 hours ago now (together with some Dia de los Muertos in my hair) and it doesn't actually smell on my skin anymore - yet oddly, when I move, the air is somehow still O'ish - I catch whiffs of it here and there and am re-reminded why this was my first Bpal-love

Clean, soft and Happy - but why so weak? I'd have to cover myself tip to toe for anyone but myself, nose glued to wrist, to ever get to appreciate this wonderful smell...

There may be something wrong with me - this was a frimp, I wouldn't have been interested in it based on the reviews - and now I am so happy I got it. Maybe it's just me, I find that I describe most stuff I try as various candy, but this is like pink, chewy, cream-caramel - warm, and smooth and soft. I adore it

I was looking forward to this - it was the very reason I Found this site at all (Googling on "Troll perfume", for those who saw my first post) In the Imp it smelled suspicious, and I was sort of taking out the disappointment in advance - but still put it on for a 6 hour drive to help a friend (or whatever) move. (He, on the other hand, got a dose of Fenris Wolf on him) Troll smelled Very strong at first, spiky and in-your-face, and a bit ...much. And then, oddly, it calmed down - it became round and soft and almost - dare I say - Cute. I was a bit stunned, because to me, trolls ARE small and cute and have bushy hair and wiggly tails - and Troll smells just like that on me; friendly forest with soft ground and cuddles. Especially the cuddles; to me, Troll smells like lazy, vaguely sensual cuddles with someone you really like, in a warm late-summer forest - maybe that's where people got the idea of BO from, no idea, but I Loved it <3 This was exactly what I was looking for - spot on - and I am Very pleased. Bottle next time

My imps have arrived I am stupidly excited, but have promised myself to only try One per day. Since I also got 4 for free (yay!) that will cover me until I start my car mechanic course I will also try some of them on my...ehm, not even on an anonymous forum can I quite decide What he is - friend, of the male gender, I guess - to see how they work on him compared to me - yayayayayay!

First review - and not that I am sure how to do this, but this was the first one I tried of my 16 imps sitting around at home; it made sense that my first imp be Imp When I first opened it and put some on, it smelled fruity, golden and wet - with teeth. I had to sniff a while before I realised that it for some reason smelled Faaaintly of faded toothpaste - interesting, but not bad at all. Walking to work, I felt it was a bit weak, so I put on some extra - sniffed my wrist and could barely smell it, BUT - it was around me like a swirly cloud. I could almost not smell it ON my wrist, but funnily, it was like...sort of hlike having a balloon bobbing in the air With the smell. Cause it wasn't a cloud of it, I never felt covered or like I was in a smell-bubble, just...yes, as if something was raining scent at me from above. Very amusing and happy feeling There is a smell in here which I can tell Would give me a headache, but I am not sure which - and I have no headache, so it's ok It is very, very short-lasting though - it's been three hours and it is almost gone entirely now, which is a pity, it's not "my type" but I still like it

Of course, now I am all upset with myself for Not buying Goblin too - stupid me :'(

Oh yes - if I like these, there will very much be more (I just worry that I'll end up with a collection biger than my book- or music collection, which are both quite silly in dimensions...so taking it easy in the start at least )

Just as a "whee, excited" update, I read and read and read and then ended up with: Bewitched, Black Forest, Faunalia, Fae, Lawn Gnome, Imp, Vixen, Hollywood Babylon, Black Phoenix, Fenris Wolf, Kitsune-Tsuki, Troll Some of these are, as you can see, not necessarily related to what I asked for, but I decided to treat myself to 2*6 of what you appear to call "Imp's Ears" and wanted to test some different stuff too - I am So looking forward to these now - question though; when I do get them and test them, I'm allowed to write in reviews and be all "whee" or "blurgh" yes?

What fantastic people you all are, to be so helpful with this - thank you I'll make a list of the so far suggested ones and read the reviews of users too, and then narrow it down from there to a managageble amount and then comes the ordering and testing Thanks again - this will be so much fun

Hi. First, I am sorry if this is the wrong forums or if I am perhaps not at all allowed to post things like this here. For several years I have been looking for the perfect perfume/smell and always been let down In reality, it is two smells I am after, both for female users. 1.) The first would be something a small, Impish Forest Troll with wild hair and dirty toes would smell like; think deep, dark Scandinavian summer forest, moss, trees, a small stream, minimal sunlight sneaking in through the branches, but yet a clear smell of magic, darkness (but not evil, just ancient and mystical) I am aware this doesn't actually mention Smells as such - but that is the feel I want it to give. 2.) The second is that of the Swedish Huldra; the insanely beautiful forest women with fox tail under their skirt and hollow backs, who lure men deeper into the forest with their beauty and gets them helplessly lost; slightly wicked, powerful, self-sure, lustful, alluring and yet very foresty here too. I'm literally about to give up, I am sorry for this post, but I am desperate - does anyone know anything that can help me?
