la la love this rose (rose red 2007) bottle: rose and lots of green. like crushed up rose stems and petals wet: sweet, juicy, wet, crisp, and green. like, almost apple-y dry: it keeps some of the hint of green, but that goes away pretty quickly on me (and apparently that was what was making it very apple-y.), it is just lovely and lush and soft and ROSE-y on me. instead of smelling like i am wearing perfume, it smells like i just rolled around on a bed of roses and rose stems (less the thorns, i suppose!) and it just imbued my skin. my perfume doesn't smell good... my skin does, if that makes sense. anyway.. . i love love love it. so glad i got it.

I received this as a frimp and could not be more pleased in the imp: sharp aquatic floral (lovely, i thought, but not for me) wet: oh somethings happening hear... all the aquatic notes are gone and there's just a very nostalgic floral here. very soapy and clean with a little hint of sweet powder(which usually means, wash off NOW! for me), but I can't seem to bring myself too dry: this scent LOVES my skin, and while it is not typical of scents i like, i can't seem to stop sniffing myself. the powder is all gone, and the scent is just this gentle, but firm wisp of a thing curling all around me. Whoever described it as a hug is spot on -- it feels a mix of a hug, and cool soft hands on your forehead when you feel feverish. I put this on, and promptly shelved my plans for the evening and had a "me" night, curled up in a cashmere sweater with my pup at my feet reading a big fat book with fig newtons and a glass of milk. such a gentle and lovely scent! fantastic work BPAL team!!

Dang! I had so hoped that this would be more similair to the October '06 13, so i bought 3 of them! in the bottle: I get a sharp boozy hint in this. I guess that's just my crazy nose though. It's like fudge made with some sort of liquor. very warm and comforting at second sniff wet: This gets sorta butterscotch/ fudgey on my skin. definitely warm and VERY sweet with a hint of something herbal under the thick, warm, sweet fudgey smell dry down: what dry down? this goes from wet to GONE on my skin. The scent left is LOVELY - not at all what i had expected but this little powdery puff of warm, buttery, musky fudge. like hot skin and butterscotch spiked cocoa, but i really have to HUFF my arm to get any hint of it. sadly, this one does not have the staying power i want. 3 of these are going in the sale or swap pile (I don't know if this is kosher - if not, just lemme know i'll delete this part of the post, but for the people who loved it, I tend to forget to post sales and just give them to friends, so if you want another one (or 3!) PM me)
