  1. The one I remember from the 70's smelled mostly of lily of the valley. At least, that's how I remember it. So that's what I'd look for, something with a lot of lily of the valley in it. There was a fragrance from Jessica McClintock about 10+ years ago that was almost identical, but I don't know if that's still around. If you find something similar from the lab, please let us know. I used to love that stuff when I was a kid!

    Black Cat

I used to work in a witchcraft/metaphysical supply shop. All of the candles, incenses, oils and herbs blended together to create a unique aroma that everyone loved. Sadly, that shop closed a few years ago and I have never been able to recreate that scent. Yesterday I put on a little Black Cat and low and behold, there it was! The scent of the place I loved right there on my wrist! Honestly, I can't pick out any one note because the scent memory it triggered for me was so intense. Not to sound like a complete sap, but it literally brought tears to my eyes. I will be purchasing a bottle of Black Cat. In my mind, that's what magic smells like.

    Poisoned Apple

There's not much that I can say that hasn't already been said here, but I'll give it a go. This is exactly what I thought a poisoned apple would smell like. At first, just crisp fresh apple. After about a half hour, the poison starts to come though and only deepens the longer I wear it. I can definitely pick out the oleander. I recognize it from smelling the actual flower in our local conservatory. Yes, defiantly an evil, dangerous apple. I love it!

    Moonshine and Mist

I received this as a gift with my first order and I'm so glad that I did! In the imp: I got musk and sandalwood right away. Wet: musk, sandalwood and something vaguely floral. Dry: the magnolia and violet start to peak through. After about an hour the ambergris comes out and blends beautifully with the other notes that never really go away. I love this scent. The staying power is unbelievable! I put it on before bed and it's still going strong the next morning. This is one of my favorites so far. I've already purchased a 5ml. bottle.

    Snake Oil

I ordered a full bottle of Snake Oil based on the Lab's description and the reviews here. I figured there was a reason it's the most popular scent, so I gave it a go. In the bottle, all I could smell was baby powder. Wet, more baby powder. No vanilla, no spices, just powder. Dry, baby powder. 2 hours later, baby powder and play dough. Though I'm a bit disappointed, I haven't given up on this fragrance yet. My plan is to let it age a bit and try again. Maybe it will get better after a few months? Oh, just FYI I only use unscented bath and body products, so there was nothing to clash with it, and I don't normally have the play dough issue. I apologize for my first review being less than positive.
