Cold Moon When the reviews started coming in for this I became very nervous. Aquatic? Noooooooo....... Luckily folks soon began to compare it to Blue Moon (the only other Lunar Oil I have) and I began to breathe a little easier. It is like Blue Moon. First off, before it's dries on the skin it's Ice Queen, very sweet frosted fruits. I find Ice Queen too sweet overall so this is a perfect compromise for me. I don't find Cold Moon particularly cold. Where Snow White means walking through freshly fallen snow, Cold Moon gives me images of a frosty midnight walk to a pond to go gazing at the moon in the relection of the still water. This is very ethereal and very calming. Gorgeous.

La Belle au Bois Dormant I don't have much luck with white florals but the description of this just made me swoon. Out of the imp this is sweet and calm but doesn't scream pear. On the skin the pear is there but it's not like the wet uber juicy sweetness of Endymion, but the rough skin of a pear that isn't quite ripe. Behind the fruit I can definitely smell magnolias. After just a few minutes the pear vanishes and I'm left with a fragrance which it similiar on me to Black Dahlia, but with an unpleasent metallic twang. I'm guessing this is probably the Tuberose. This continues for the duration of the scent and makes it a miss for me.

Lady MacBeth In the bottle - sharp, juicy red fruit On the skin - Much sweeter with the addition of herbs. This hardly changes from start to finish. This is extremely sweet on me with the occasional tart note catching my attention. If you want to smell like jam this one is for you!

White Rabbit In this bottle this is all honey and pepper. I expected a more prominent tea note. I don't like the smell of this at all and I'm rather nervous about trying it on the skin...... Straight on the skin it hasn't changed at all. I have never been a fan of the smell of honey but I don't think that is what's bothering me. The culprit is the pepper, without a doubt. About ten minutes later I'm still being overwhelmed by the pepper but then out of nowhere a lovely strong waft of lemon tea comes along. This is much better. Sadly this doesn't last long because it keeps morphing between the lovely tea and the awful pepper. This really is making me feel ill. I didn't give it a chance to morph again and washed this off after about twenty minutes. I so wish I had got the milk, vanilla and the tea. This is going off to someone who will hopefully appreciate it. It's been a long time since I have been upset about a scent not working on me. I really REALLY wanted this one to work.

Sudha Segara I this when it's freshly applied, it's rich, milky and creamy with a slight hint of ginger - perfect. However, not long after I get an extremely 'green' note and the ginger seems rather harsh (much like Kumiho). The greeness does lessen soon after but the ginger is still rather fierce. SS seems to morph between these two extremes from then on. I by no means dislike the harsher phase but it stops me from being completely besotted with it. On the plus side the staying power is very impressive. I can still smell it strongly after ten hours!

Centzon Totochtin On me this is a very dark tempered chocolate blend. It's Bliss with PMS! Sadly I do not get a trace of the wine or the rum, instead just a rich and nutty smell with a spicy kick. The kick thankfully stops it from being too rich but this is still not the type of blend that I can do justice.

Yep, pancakes all the way. I lurve eating them but I don't want a smell like em!

Whip Pure rose. No leather here. It's just sweet ROSE!! It's not as green as the rose in Rose Red but this is practically a single note. I used to think I loved rose blends but now I am not too sure. This is too much for my poor nose

Florence This is unbelievably sweet. Instead of a floral this is a smell very similiar to a British candy called Dolly Mixtures. In time the amber does come along to warm and soften the proceedings but this is far too sweet for me.

Eve Before applying this is apple with a hint of rose. However on the skin it's just ylang ylang It didn't change until it was almost gone when a touch of rose reappeared.

Nemesis When wet it's all patchouli but after just a little while it's yummy figgy gorgeousness with a lovely gingery bite. It doesn't change much once it's dried, just a touch of tonka bean if I really pay attention to what I'm wearing (but I don't get cypress or rose.) Slightly spicy, very warming, a bit mischievous and totally lovely. I'm so glad I'll get another imp with my Cold Moon order.

Yerevan Sticky, thick apricot jam with a touch of pomegranate dribbling through. On me the apricot is far too cloying, heavy and sadly, nausea inducing (I had similar reactions to Jack and March Hare and blamed the clove - looks like I blamed the wrong thing.) I held off scrubbing my wrists in a hope that I would get some salvation from the florals but alas it was not to be. Note to self: Avoid apricots.

Mata Hari I bought a 5ml of this on a whim and was lucky enough to get an imp in the interim. The big bottle gamble almost paid off. On me it's all coffee and jasmine for the majority of the time. I like this scent best after it's been on for a few hours because that's when I get the warmth and sweetness from the tonka bean. I do like it but, not enough for a big bottle. It would have been a different story if my skin had found the rose and fig as well as the dominant coffee and jasmine.

Forbidden Fruit I was really eager to try this as I love amber. Sadly this did not smell anything like I'd hoped. All I get after a brief waft of fruit is a horrific mustiness and no sign of warm golden amber. Not good.

Morgause A very blue floral blend. At first it's quite heavy on the jasmine but then it fades to a what is unfortunately a sharp, generic scent which makes my nose twitch.

Carnal I was nervous about this as I don't like orange scents on my skin. However, Carnal is gorgeous. Sweet, warm fig and just a touch of zing from the mandarin. I adore this. I don't think the name is particularly appropriate as Carnal makes me feel warm, comfortable and cozy instead of what it should but who cares? It's exquisite. A top 3 and a must have in a big bottle. Why didn't I try this sooner?

Black Pearl As I Perversion so I was so excited to see this as a freebie in my latest order. It smells beautiful in the bottle, warm hazlenut and sweet coconut. Very impressive. Sadly just after applying I get a sharpness from I'm guessing is the Florentine Iris and it sadly makes me feel a bit ill. Gah.

This smells absolutely divine in the vial. On initial application I have high hopes, it smells just as I so wanted Hellcat to - sweet, boozy goodness. A minute or so after application I am taken over by butter. Just butter. It's too much. Occasionally I get a whiff of rummy sweetness but the butter overwhelms me. I so wish I liked this, it sounded fab on lots of others. I guess I've finally learned my lesson about rich foody blends.

Perversion I did not try this blend for a long long time as I was convinced after trying The Star that coconut and I did not get along. I was completely, utterly, totally wrong. This is for now my ultimate BPAL blend. I do not get any rum or leather but the delights of the coconut and the tonka bean in particular make this wonderful. It's warm, sweet, a little bit smoky and it makes me feel absolutely delectable. I want to wear this every day but I would never get the chance to try anything else. I will soon be ordering a very big bottle. Pure gorgeousness. Get some.

I was hoping so much for the lemony note to come through but alas it did not. Hemlock to me is something to wear to clear the sniffles (sorry Beth.) It's far to euculyptus filled for me to want to wear. I absolutely the colour though. Can we have this shade for a St Patricks Day blend Beth?

First sniff is red, ripe luscious strawberry. It is sweet, but not cloyingly so. When I apply it the champagne note comes through, virtually splashing onto my skin. I am amazed at how this smells so bubbly! This doesn't last all that long on me but I love it. The strawberry and wine are there all the way through (the wine getting more apparent as time goes by), I do not get the artificial smell that others have and the strawberries are tart and lovely. I cannot help but feel good when I wear this, I plan to wear this on my birthday and perhaps it might even be able to get my out of my New Years Eve Doldrums. I hate New Years Eve. I cannot wait to get my 5ml.

Jailbait I love to eat cherries but I hate the smell and taste of cherry flavouring. I didn't hold much hope for this scent ........ I was pleasantly surprised initially, this was sweet, sticky orange at first the cherry was there but there was no almond ickiness that I find all cherry fragrances or sweets have. But after a few minutes I inhaled my wrists and smelled Band Aids and Germolene antiseptic ointment.
