Wet: Fruity floral paired with powdery patchouli Drydown: Deeper, almost incense-y. I smell the ylang ylang, which is nice, and the neroli is there but it's subtle. Dry: Whoa! Either I'm amping like crazy or my coworker is wearing something really strong. Need to assess the situation further...OhDearGod I think it's me (how embarrassing!) Well, it's a strong, sweet, vanilla-ish floral. I'm not familiar with oleander but by process of elimination I'd say that's the dominant note here. The ylang ylang is doing a decent job of lifting the heaviness of the blend but still...yikes! 2 out of 10 bones

Reading this I immediately thought of Darkness. It's dark, fierce, majestic, and intoxicating. Strange as it sounds, I actually get a distinct non-monogamous vibe from it as well, lol. Other than that I'd suggest Black Phoenix for indulgent sexiness and perhaps something from The Last Unicorn for your quiet, daydreaming side. Darkness: Bottled gloom; the essence of oblivion. Blackest opium and narcissus deepened by myrrh. Black Phoenix: A dark, languid scent. Promotes hedonistic tendencies and extreme self-love. You won't stop kissing mirrors for a month. The Last Unicorn Selections~ The King's Daughter: A matter of formality: lilac musk, sandalwood, sweet pea, watermelon accord, pale woods, elemi, and oakmoss. Lady Amalthea: A luminous white winter musk with lilac, wisteria, white chocolate, white mint, and tuberose. The Midnight Carnival: Cruelty and confinement, small magics and penny illusions: galbanum, teak, myrrh, narcissus, patchouli, cacao, labdanum, agarwood, lavender, neroli, and black moss.

Wet: Light opium. Sweet, golden, resinous. Drydown: Smoky opium cut by sweet honeysuckle. Airy yet dense - if this took physical form it'd be similar to dry ice; an airy smoke just heavy enough to drip downward. Languid and romantic. Dry: It fades considerably, leaving the memory of spice and ethereal smoke behind. 7.5 out of 10 bones

Wet: Astringent and green. Drydown: Woodsy (pine? cedar? fir??) with a slightly spicy/medicinal quality to it. Dry: It becomes creamier and I can totally see the rice pudding comparison some have made. It's rice pudding sprinkled with nutmeg, surrounded by pine cones and medicinal herbs. This reminds me of the final phase of Black Annis w/out the smokiness. A intriguing creamy-woodsy scent.

Wet: Chocolate frosting straight out of the can. Drydown: Mostly chocolate with a hint of minty woods. Dry: Still mostly chocolate but softer and lighter. This is the first chocolate scent I've tried and I think it was a bit too much for me. I'd probably have liked it more if the chocolate was more of a supporting or side note rather than the star. 7 out of 10 bones

Wet: Sweet wine and something earthy. Drydown: Sweet, fruity wine grounded by damp soil. A hint of rosemary too, perhaps. Dry: The wine mellows and the earth and sweet herbs blend into it. Smooth, soft, and sweet. Not as evil as I was expecting but pretty true to the description. A great scent for wine lovers. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Sparkly pine and spice. Reminiscent of cola but not as sweet. Drydown: Sweeter and less sparkly. It's hard to pinpoint just one or two main notes. I'd say it's equal parts patchouli, lime, pine, vetiver, and clove. Slightly smoky. Dry: Same as the drydown plus a bit of vanilla. While some of the individual notes have a bite, the overall effect is softer than I was expecting. Complex and well-blended. This is a weird one. I think for the first time I feel like a scent is very "me" yet I don't particularly like it. I think the patchouli and vetiver are to blame for that. I might wear this a couple more times before passing it along though, so it's not a total pass.

I'm wearing Defututa at work but I might dab on some O later tonight for when it's really time to celebrate the holiday

Wet: Herbal lime musk. Masculine-leaning. Drydown: It sweetens. Lavender, lime, and musk with a touch of creamy tonka. Dry: Sweet lilac and woodsy lime. Clean and creamy.

Wet: Sweet peach Drydown: Juicy peach and sparkly musk. Bright and warm. Dry: Musky peach. I really like the peach note in this one - it has a good balance between sweetness and freshness. Overall this blend is a tad too musky for my tastes though. I'll stick with Fae as my go-to peach scent. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Peach and vanilla frosting Drydown: Vanilla and amber with just a touch of peach. I'm not crazy about the vanilla-amber combo at first, but then everything begins to soften and the notes blend more nicely. Dry: Light vanilla cream warmed by amber and sandalwood. The peach is barely there - I can't smell it when I put my nose to my wrist but every once in a while I'll catch a bit of it when my arms are at more of a distance. The notes in this blend faded quite a lot from start to finish, especially the peach which was the note I was most looking forward to. Once dry it became a light and warm vanilla. It's inoffensive and pleasant, but not terribly unique on me. This would be a good starter scent for someone hesitant about trying the more out-there BPALs. 7 out of 10 bones

Wet: Strongly herbal. Reminds me of a kit of herbal aromatherapy essential oils I had many moons ago. Drydown: Lavender and what I think might be chamomile? There's something minty-cool in the background too, possibly eucalyptus or an herb from the mint family. Dry: I didn't make it to this stage - I was asleep! This stuff nearly put me out instantly. If not for my husband walking into the room and chatting my ear off it probably would have had me out cold within the first 5 minutes. I noticed that my thoughts became calmer, less layered, and my body became relaxed and less fidgety. I can't report on how it affected my dreams because I usually don't remember them anyway, but I can report that I felt incredibly well-rested the next morning (a rarity for me) and I think it may have helped my breathing too. 8 out of 10 bones

... Cypress, ginger, fig, dried rose, red patchouli, tonka bean and cyclamen. Wet: Astringent berry and grass. I actually though I was sniffing my Nosferatu imp for a second. Drydown: At first it's sharp and green with a touch of rose and ripe purple fruit. Then the patchouli enters and softens things for a bit. The cypress begins to amp creating a weird discord with the patchouli and rose. Dry: Fresh cypress with just the right touch of fig and a hint of rose. Very evocative. It smells like walking through a vibrant evergreen forest with the scent of figgy pudding and roses wafting by on a gentle breeze. This smells like a wintery fairy tale. The cypress is dominant and the fig and rose bring a touch of femininity to what might have otherwise been more of a clean, masculine-type scent. Its sort Christmas-y in a non-spicy way. This would be a good starter woodsy scent for those who aren't sure if they'd like woodsy blends. 6 out of 10 bones

Nostrum Remedium smells a lot like Irish Spring to me.

Wet: Warm, creamy honey. Slightly tropical? Drydown: Tropical and sweet. The sandalwood and jasmine make themselves known and settle in as mid-notes. Normally I'm not fond of sandalwood and jasmine, put paired with the other notes in this blend they are sexxxxy. The tropical aspect reminds me of pineapple and Hawaiian ginger...is that what Champaca smells like? Or is it a combination of the olive blossom and cinnamon? I have no idea, but it's really good either way. Dry: Tropical honey rounded out with touches of sandalwood, jasmine, and creamy vanilla. Wow! Defututa is glorious. I am baffled by the niceness of the sandalwood and jasmine, surprised by the vanilla actually working on my skin, and intrigued by the tropical goodness that I can't quite identify. It is curious and delicious and the kind of scent you remember in a very good way. 9.5 out of 10 bones

Wet: Sweet, almost fruity, with a touch of juniper. Drydown: The florals begin to dominate. I'm getting lilac and possibly the rosewood. It becomes deeper/muskier as it dries. Dry: A sweet, creamy floral deepened by sandalwood and musk, spiked with a whisper of bergamot. This is quite a morpher! There's moments I like and moments I'm not terribly fond of. For me the first half hour is the best and after that it's not really my thing.

Wet: Subdued honeysuckle and gentle green tea Drydown: Green tea with a hint of lemon and a soft, almost powdery floral note. It's light but somehow deep. Dry: Light and clean with a vague hint of lemon. Quite a throw on this one. Hmm, this is one of those light & clean floral scents that are nice but don't suite my personality. This would be right up the alley of several of my friends so I think I'll gift it to one of them. 6 out of 10 bones

Hmmm... I'm thinking Dragon's Tears because it's both fearsome and bittersweet, which I think describes your description of yourself pretty well, Danse Macabre for your love of dancing, The Black Tower because it's unique and bold with a touch of leather and ozone to possibly remind you of cars, Gnome because they are the ultimate mechanics, Ultraviolet because it's piercing and purple (and I just have a hunch) and No. 93 Engine for the obvious reasons. Dragon's Tears: Bittersweet yet powerful: salty aquatic notes and bursting with dragon's blood. Danse Macabre: An allegorical expression of the ineffable, indisputable triumph of death, generally expressed in medieval artwork as a violin or flute-wielding skeleton leading a procession of dancers to their graves. Black cypress with oakmoss, frankincense, oude, and a sliver of toasted hazelnut. The Black Tower: white sandalwood, ambergris, wet ozone, galbanum and leather with ebony, teak, burnt grasses, English ivy and a hint of red wine. Gnome: An explosive blend of effervescent golden ginger and black peppercorn with sarsaparilla, gurjum balsam, nutmeg, gear lubricant, and smoke. Ultraviolet: Electrifying, mechanized and chilly -- the scent of crushed blooms strewn on cold metal. Lush violet and neroli spiked hard with eucalyptus and a sliver of mint. No. 93 Engine: Balm of Gilead, benzoin, frankincense, balsam of peru, beeswax, saffron, galbanum, calamus, hyssop, mastic, lemon balm, and white sage.

Wet: Sweet and spicy floral. Drydown: Huh. I'm getting the coolness and sweetness of the coconut but it doesn't actually smell like coconut, if that makes any sense. Along with that I'm getting the musk and a spicy floral note. Dry: Similar to the drydown. Soft, cool, and spicy. Describing Blood Pearl I feel like I should conclude that I really really liked it, but in actuality it makes me go "meh." Not bad by any means, but not a favorite either.

Wet: Crispy green apple. As others have said, it's definitely green, not red. Drydown: It starts as green apple with a touch of something musky. Then, the apple fades to a mere hint and a musky resin takes over. It's soft and sweet. Dry: Resiny musk with a touch of Golden Delicious. A great apple scent. I know the musk/resin was coming from the opium, but for some reason it never actually smelled like opium. The smokiness was missing I think. Overall the scent works well, but I think I'd prefer a bit more poison in my apples. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Light and fresh. It actually smells like a light floral almost. Drydown: Soft. Sweet ginger comes forth. There's something very clean about it. Dry: Sweet and clean with a touch of floral-ish ginger. Despite the lack of flowers, this reminds me of a clean, fresh floral like Lady of Shallot or Sea of Glass. I'm a little bummed because the honey never really came through and I was expecting it to amp. 6 out of 10 bones

I too adore The Night Hag Visiting the Lapland Witches and am interested in finding a similar GC. I am hoping that Dracul and might be similar but I haven't tried it yet. The RPGs might be a good route to take - perhaps an Evil Elf Ranger or a Lawful Gnome Ranger?

Wet: Heavy flowers and incense. (Full Disclosure: this worries me) Drydown: Soft resins and sweet flowers. Something strikes me as distinctly purple, which would have to be one of the flowers. Dry: The flowers become lighter and are more of a side note. A deep wood note joins the resins and the amber adds some warmth. Overall the blend is soft, sweet, and warm. Cleric is so much nicer than I expected. The flowers didn't overpower the resins and woods and I never even detected the rose, which is a good thing in my book. I look forward to layering this with other RPGs.

The scent of Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls. Wet: Toffee-flavored coffee. It's quite buttery. Drydown: The sweet buttery toffee turns into more of a burnt caramel and then fades away leaving a cup of dark, high-quality coffee. Something richly masculine joins the coffee, which I'm guessing is the polished oak. Dry: Wow. This is everything the descriptions says: rich creamy coffee, glorious old books, and a vast hall with seriously shellacked oak walls. It is both magical and serious, inspiring careful thought and ravenous research. This is an experience in a bottle. It's so completely unique that I'm not even sure how to rate it as a perfume. Time will tell if it's something that I'd actually want to wear regularly or not, but for now I can definitely say I like it. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Warm musk. Drydown: It's sweet and resin-y. After a while the amber begins to amp and YOWZA! it's hyper-sexual for a good 10 minutes. Dry: Musky amber with a touch of something green and bitter (olive leaf?), but mostly musky amber. This scent reminds me of cuddling up to a warm and sexy man. Not that it's super masculine, but it reminds me of being close to someone who is I'd recommend wearing this to bed on a cold and lonely night. Good dreams guaranteed! 6.5 out of 10 bones
