Wet: Cake and something vaguely artificial. Drydown & Dry: Splenda cake. I'm not sure if it's my nose or skin, but this one doesn't work for me. It might be worth noting that I'm very sensitive to fake sugar and overly sweet foods too so this may stem from the same issue.

Wet: Lavender and citrus-infused absinthe. Drydown: Lilac joins the lavender and the combination turns slightly powdery. A touch of herbs are there as well. Dry: All the notes blend together to create a light, sweet, fresh, herbal floral. The only note I can pick out is the rose, which isn't dominate but isn't blending like the rest are either.

Red roses, dazzling crystalline musks, and pearlescent coconut-tinged orris. Wet: Tropical roses. Drydown: Fresh, creamy coconut with a touch of rose and musk. I like this stage quite a bit. Dry: The roses take over leaving just a hint of coconut on the side. It's a slightly wilted rose with petals just beginning to dry up along the edges. I'd describe this one as very feminine and classic. It doesn't satisfy my personal tastes, but I'm sure many others would like it. Once the rose starts to dominate it just becomes too "perfume-y" for me. 3 out of 10 bones

Wet: Masculine and woodsy. Both are usually good things on my skin so I'm excited. Drydown: Sweet smoky woods. I can pick out the pine and woodsmoke, and then the nutmeg. This is realllllly nice. Dry: It reminds me a lot of Port-au-Prince (which is all bay and sassafras on me) but it's smokier and more sophisticated. I could bathe in this stuff. I might have to track down a bottle of this. In the meantime I'll be saving and savoring my frimp/sniffie for special occasions. 8 out of 10 bones

Wet: Sweet, light amber. Drydown: Warm and golden w/ a bit of lemon. Dry: An intriguing mix of lemony freshness and sweet amber. The lemon does a nice job of keeping the amber in check. There's a hint of sexiness but it's just a hint. This is O's seemingly innocent daytime persona. Everything about it is golden. The sage/rain/grass add a freshness without turning the scent green and the lemon seems to pair perfectly with the amber. Nicely done.

Wet: Cherry pop-tarts. Drydown: Cherries w/ honey and spice. As it dries the cherry fades out. Sort of sweet and artificial. Dry: It's barely there. If I sniff real hard I can pick up a feint milk note. Well, that puts oats into the bread/cake category of notes that go invisible on my skin. I have no idea where the cherry is coming from, but that was the strongest note I got and even that vanished. Oh well, onto the next. 4 out of 10 bones

Wet: Walking through a garden while sipping grape soda Drydown: Aha! A great big juicy red apple. After a moment the apple steps aside and the hyacinth comes in. It becomes tingly and spicy and more blended. Dry: Fresh hyacinth with a sweet and spicy effervescence. I like this one. It's unique. I think I'll have to wear it a couple more times to figure out if it's a favorite or not. 7.5 out of 10 bones

I just tried Mag Mell, which was a sweet and fresh lemon-amber thing going for it. If you don't hate amber it's a good one, the amber is pretty subdued and the lemon comes through nicely. I haven't tried enough lemon scents to recommend any others unfortunately.

Wet: It smells fruity, but not in an overly sweet way. Drydown: I smell fizzy citrus and frothy nectarine with a touch of soft sage and the barest hint of musk. Dry: It's light and surprisingly complex. It fades into a citrus-tinged skin musk. Soft and bright. This would be a really nice scent for summertime. It has the uplifting aspects of citrus without being too sweet or tart. The musk and patchouli add a soft sophistication to this light blend. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Green and clean. It actually reminds me a lot of Irish Springs soap without actually smelling like soap, if that makes any sense. Drydown: Fresh and green. It has the biting freshness of wasabi without the spiciness I'd expect. Dry: Fresh and green with a drop of honey. This scent is super green! It captures the exact color of wasabi paste. I'd recommend this to someone looking for a purely green scent whose notes aren't obvious. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Sharp! Like a bolt of lightning cracking in the sky Drydown: Minty with a touch of citrus and metallic violets. Dry: Icy cool bitter violets. Wow, this absolutely smells like its name. It's a unique scent for sure. This would be wonderful on the right person, but that person just isn't me. 3 out of 10 bones

Wet: OOh, mint with a hint of citrus. Drydown: The mint fades a bit and it becomes more of a fruity floral. Dry: The mint returns and the champagne comes out to nicely blend the mint and fruity floral notes together. I really like the mint and champagne notes but in the end this goes a touch too floral for my tastes.

Wet: Sweet liquors, amaretto and something w/ cherry perhaps? Drydown: Spicy and fresh! I'm mostly getting the sassafras and bay. It's tingly! Dry: It's a spicy Christmas tree! There's pinecones, mistletoe, sparkly lights and a touch of cinnamon and clove I love it! It's sooo not what I was expecting but it's fabulous nonetheless. Spicy yet cool, warm and tingly, yum yum yum

Wet: sparkling light flowers - it's pretty! Drydown: rain and flowers, definitely evocative of the theme Dry: uh-oh. it's gone soapy. Soapy florals are not my thing. Oh well. 4 out of 10 bones

Upon the Sea of Glass, glowing with the perfection of spiritual union and the radiance of true wisdom, rests the throne of God. A scent of inimitable purity, crystalline grace, and limitless light. Wet: light, delicate citrus Drydown: light florals with a touch of ocean air and citrus Dry: It sweetens a bit and the notes blend into a very clean, clear scent that somehow manages not to turn soapy. It has quite a throw for being such a light scent. This is quite nice. It's not me at all, but it's lovely enough that I'd wear it from time to time despite that. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Fresh apple with a touch of rose. Drydown: They've swapped - now it's rose with a touch of apple. Dry: Fresh roses kissed with morning dew. I tend to forget how lovely roses can smell because the are usually paired with heavy or powdery notes. This rose is crisp and could almost be described as light. It’s quite beautiful.

Wet: butter and something hard to peg...booze? Drydown: frosted spice cookies - yummy! Dry: a bevy of holiday treats, specifically peach cobbler, wassail, and assorted cookies Jack is festive, warm, and delicious. I never picked up on the pumpkin, but I definitely got the peach and spices, along with butter, sugar, and a touch of apple. It smells like the dessert table at a holiday party rather than autumn, which is surprising but not a bad thing. I will definitely wear this during the cold of winter to remind me of warmer times. 6 out of 10 bones

Wet: Almond extract. Drydown: The almond fades into non-existence and the orange and rose come into play. Dry: The orange becomes a side note and this becomes a heavier rose warmed by sandalwood and powdery clove. Seraglio is a very warm, feminine, heavy floral-type scent. It's nice but not my thing. Unfortunately I spilled it all over my desk and pants when testing it and am not likely to try it again having already overdosed in such a big way. *yikes!*

Wet: Smoky, spiced cherries. Drydown: Dark, smouldering, and lacquered with the sweet tartness of cherry. Positively hedonistic. (note: when fresh it smells quite medicinal in this stage, but with age that transitions into a deep spiciness) Dry: Earthy, smoky, spicy, musky, tingly, sticky, and oh-so-sexy. Note: Blood Kiss is a great example of what aging and a more experienced nose can do. It was one of the first BPALs I tried and my first impression of it was not a good one. Fast forward 10 years and it's now in my regular bottle rotation! 8 out of 10 bones

Wet: Smoky mint. Sort of like a minty opium. Drydown: The smokiness goes from opium-like to BBQ smoker-like to a subtle generic smoke. On my left wrist the mint becomes sharp and powdery. On my right wrist the mint becomes sweet, almost like vanilla. Dry: The left wrist is a powdery mint. The right is a sweet smoky mint. I like both but the right is clearly the winner. I really really like this one. I could see it being too masculine to some but to me it's gorgeous. I might try layering it with something sweet and creamy to femme it up a bit for romantic occasions, but as an everyday scent I like it just the way it is. 6.5 out of 10 bones

Wet: light and distinctly peppery Drydown: It picks up a fresh quality (the linen and tea perhaps) and becomes creamy. The pepper becomes stronger and right when it verges on too abrasive, it mellows out and honey comes in to sweeten things. Dry: Custard w/ a touch of chai. I like White Rabbit, but I'm a little disappointed because I was hoping to completely fall in love with it, lol. My husband really likes it and it's a delicate enough of a foody scent to be work-appropriate, so I'll be wearing this a lot for sure.

Wet: I've been putting off trying Black Annis because it smells like pure evil in the bottle. The moment it hits my skin though it becomes sweet & spicy. Drydown: Sweet with a spicy/earthy/sinister edge. If I try I can detect the oak leaves, but I'm having trouble placing anything else. I think the sweetness is coming from the anise, but I'm not getting the typical licorice aspect of it so it's hard to say. Dry: It stays pretty true but during hours 2 and 3 there are moments where it turns a bit plasticky. After that the sweetness becomes more vanilla-like and it actually reminds me a lot of Black Opal. I'm really not sure where I stand with this one. I dig the first hour, and adore the final phase, but man those plasticky moments are ruining it! I think I'll try this out on my husband to see what it's like on him and perhaps play around with layering it too. Usually moments of plastic are a deal breaker but Black Annis is so intriguing that I'm having a hard time making that call. 6.5 out of 10 bones

Wet: I know it's not in it, but I'm smelling rose. Rose with a touch of opium. Drydown: The opium is gone and it now smells like a garden in full bloom. Dry: Lot's of florals. I'm not picking up on any of the other notes except perhaps a bit of warmth from the sandalwood. Verdict: Big time florals just aren't for me. 4 out of 10 bones

Wet: Gorgeous lilacs! Drydown: Sparkly (the lemon I'm guessing) orgasmic lilacs with a bit of cedar and musk in the background. Dry: Same as the drydown but slighty softer, almost powdery but not quite. Soft woodsy lilacs. Well, this confirms my love of lilac. It's very very nice but probably not the lilac blend for me. I will happily wear this until I find my lilac blend though! 8.5 out of 10 bones

Wet: sparkly and yellow Drydown: I detect the wormwood and herbs first, followed by the anise and then the lemon. Dry: An equal mix of lemon candies, wormwood, and herbs with a touch of the mint and anise mingling throughout. This is light and becomes even lighter as the hours go by. By the end of the day its morphed into a soft powder note. Absinthe is a well-blended, sparkly scent with a slightly sinister edge to it. This green fairy is up to no good. It’s light but not too girly, which I appreciate. I’d declare it my go-to keeps-me-awake-at-work/refreshing-type scent if it didn’t disappear so darn quickly. I think I’ll save my imp for summer use to see if the higher temperatures increase its strength at all.
