This smells like clean water glittering under the sun. I think I smell the jasmine underneath going weird or maybe it's another floral. This is a very pretty, clean floral. It reminds me of lily of the valley. If something in it didn't disagree with me, I'd probably want to keep some of this around. Something pretty and fruity came out after a while. It smelled like watery floral grapes. I'll have to figure out what it was. It was lovely.

It's nice but the jasmine just ruins the blend for me. And then it starts to smell like a yummy coconut? The jasmine is gone pretty quick, but I don't think I'd want to wear this one much even still.

This smelled almost like a sweet pine resin at first. It was really nice. But the berries quickly became too strong and sweet for me. I really don't like berry scents at all. Several people said this was all iris at first. I don't know what iris smells like but I love how this smells in the beginning. It's interesting to see that iris seems to work on me. I'll have to get some more blends with iris in them.

In bottle: Oaty cinnamin cakes. Wet and drying down: Raw wheat, honey, cinnamon. It smells terrible on me. It's very grainy in a very bad way. Dry: Sweet and cinnaminy which is nice but the graininess is ick. Not a winner for me.

In bottle: Spoiled fruit. Wet and drying down: This smells like a dark brooding underwater cave with crumbling black minerals and silt. It's not even aquatic. How strange. It also smells like bubblegum. Dry: I smell like a clean, soft, nondescript scented candle. The wax would be pale green. Maybe with some sort of melon in it. I don't really like this one.

In bottle: It smells like bubblebath. Wet and drying down: White and perfumey. It's too sharp and floral for me. I thought it was gardenia, but everyone is saying plumeria. I'm not positive about gardenia, and I have no idea what plumeria smells like. Whatever it is, it's way too much of it for me. Dry: I think it smells like laundry detergent. I can't stand most laundry detergents because I think they have a sharp, sour smell, especially if the scent has anything to do with "rain". This smells like those detergents I avoid. I only use Tide. [/tangent]

In bottle: Earthy and rose. Wet and drying down: Lily and rose. I'm not a fan of lilies. They smell like a medicinal ointment to me. The rose is going kind of sharp and bitter on me. Bah. I had such high hopes for this one. Mainly I hoped that I didn't smell much lily. Dry: It was a soapy floral and eventually turned into dried roses past their prime, and maybe some musky frankincense. Boo. So I guess geranium rose doesn't work on me?

Wet: Cinnamon like crazy. I could smell other components at first but the cinnamon quickly took over everything. Dry: Dusty cinnamon with something sweet and delicate. I'm going to guess that the cinnamon I smell is actually cassia. I seem to do ok with cinnamon scents, but cassia amps up on me like crazy until it dominates everything else.

Too much sweet wine. It smells kind of like bubblegum but wrong. Something smells like sterile bandaids. The clove is coming through and it's only making me hate this more. I need to wash it off. All the components seem to clash on me and they make each other smell terrible.

In bottle: Slobbery spit from a person who just ate raisins and candy. I recoiled from the smell. Ech. Wet and drying down: Now it smells really good. I smell the incense which is yummy. I have no idea what else I'm smelling but it's a heavenly blend of sweet, sour, earthy, something very clean, and flowers. Dry: I think it smells like rose incense. Maybe kind of cheap incense. It smells very similar to Harlot, except less spicy and a little more tart. Every once in a while I get a hint of the spitty smell. My boyfriend said it smells like nail polish remover, or more specifically, just the scent they put in it. I like this blend but I'm unsure. Either way, I need more incense blends!
-
In bottle: Tart and effervescent. Pine. Wet and drying down: Pretty much the same except less pine. Very similar to twenty one. It's a little too sour for my taste. Dry: Kind of sharp and sour. A little fruitiness. Not for me.
-
In bottle: Sharp peppermint, maybe eucaliptus, I'm not sure what else. Wet and drying down: There's a strange sharpness, almost like ammonia without the sour smell, peppermint, something soft and gentle underneath to balance things. It's really hard to smell this and it just sort of gives me an impression of a scent. That usually means ozone. Maybe a little moss. Now something spicy is coming out, maybe the tiniest hint of cinnamon. Now a tiny bit of aquatic. This one is so strange, it just keeps changing. It smells like the warm unsettling air right before a storm at night. Dry: I'm not sure what it turned into. Just sort of a flat sweet slightly aquatic floral. It's not doing much for me at this point.

In bottle: Dry spicy woods, sweet bubblegum, root beer. Wet and drying down: Root beer. Dry: Sweet sweet root beer. I don't even want to try to pick things out. Every sniff makes me sad. This broke my heart. It sounded so amazing. I wish I knew what makes certain blends smell like root beer on me.

In bottle: Clean, watery florals, not soapy at all though, grapefruit. Glassy. Wet and drying down: I smell like lily of the valley soap or lotion. Very clean and feminine. I'm thinking of a Victorian bathroom, with worn tiles on the floor, an old beveled mirror above the sink, a claw foot tub, and ambiant light coming through a wavy glass window. Is this an aquatic floral that's working on me? What the hell is going on? Dry: This is watery, clean, and old fashioned feminine. I can't help but think of a Gunne Sax Edwardian style dress I have when I smell this. I wouldn't wear this everyday, but I need some of this around.

In bottle: Cool fruity spring time flowers, pine. Wet and drying down: Ah fer Christsakes, a floral note is turning sharp on me, like usual. It quickly went to the background and what I smell the most is a piney flower which is nice. I wonder if it's the lillies mixing strangly with something else. Something smells almost grapey. This just smells kind of sharp, powdery and gross from whatever is disagreeing with me. Dry: Icey grape, and a sharp powdery floral underneath. It was nice in the bottle.
-
In bottle: Marachino cherry. I smell the anise a little too. This is nice. Wet and drying down: Cherry and leather. ? The anise is coming out and it's yummy. This is reminding me of absinthe. I think absinthe is more interesting. Dry: Sweet sugary cherry and anise. It's pretty but I'm not crazy for it. Okay, some spicy sandlewood is finally coming out and it's making this gorgeous. I want my own imp of this. I got mine through a circular swap so I have to send this one out soon. I really hope the next imp of this I get has a little more sandlewood in it. It would become one of my favorites. This has an older label on it so It's been aged some.

The forks of the road: an in-between place, sacred and tangibly magickal in innumerable cultures and faiths. This scent is dark with mystery, taut with power. A chill twilit garden of blooms over dry earth and mosses, heavily laden with incense and offertory herbs. In bottle: Sweet and floral. Something is kind of sharp and is telling me a floral note is going to turn nasty on me. Wet and drying down: Ech, and there it is. Sharp, powdery floral irritating my poor nose. Where's my lovely oakmoss? Where are the herbs, dirt and incense? This is all floral on me. Several people have mentioned jasmine. It makes perfect sense since jasmine goes seriously nasty on me the second it touches my skin. This is awful. Dry: Now it's just sort of a generic floral perfume that disagrees with me. If I try hard enough, I can maybe smell the other notes but I might just be imagining it. This sounded amazing and was a huge disappointment. Note to self: Stay away from jasmine! Yuck.

In bottle: I smell everything listed and it's nice. Wet and drying down: Lots of myrrh at first. This one is really different and interesting. It makes me think of marble collumns on a warm sunny day. It smells ancient and dignified but still human. Gee, could I be influenced by the description? I love it when a blend really is evocative of the description. The wine eventually comes out, as does the honey. I think the florals are in there too, but they're very cool and clean smelling, just how I like em. I'm a little afraid that I smell like a scented candle though. I don't know if I can describe it, but that's what I think of when I smell my wrist. Dry: Sweet musky honey, dry powdery myrrh, and a little cool wine. I keep thinking that this is an intellectual scent. Contemplative and uplifting. This is what I'd wear if I was strolling through the park on a beautiful day or night, just thinking. So it seems like wine works on me. Aged myrrh is really nice and honey is pretty good too. Good to know. It's worth mentioning that the imp I have has an older label. I'm pretty sure this would go to instant nasty powder on me if it was too fresh, due to the myrrh. Let it age a bit, I say.

In bottle: Herbs and light florals, something a little sharp. Wet and drying down: Something doesn't like me in this, maybe the Gallic rose, maybe the lilac. It's the old familiar smell of a floral turning sharp, abrasive and nasty once it meets my skin chemistry. I also think it smells like ylang ylang. Dry: Terrible. Ech. The description sounded so great.

In bottle: It's hard to say since it hurts my nose. Jasmine mostly, something floral and sharp, very mild and gentle lemon, some soft woods, I think I smell the lily. Wet and drying down: Jasmine and lily combined and it smells just awful on me. This reminds of a really cheap air freshener. I think the lab's jasmine is the worst note I've smelled on myself yet. It hurts my nose and turns my stomach. Ech, it just gets worse and worse. The lily kind of smells like a burp. I don't smell any of the woods. It's all jasmine and lily. Dry: Sour florals and dollar store air freshener.
-
In bottle: Clean, sweet roses, something kind of perfumey and sharp. Wet and drying down: Really strong and sharp at first. This reminds me of Black Rose and Lucy's Kiss, so it's probably the same rose. I think one of the florals is turning bad on me but there's only a tiny bit of it in here. This probably would be a lot better if it was aged for a good while and diluted some. Either way, I think the other two rose blends I mentioned are more interesting. Dry: Kind of powdery, but clean and pretty. There's something sweet and musky underneath which is nice. I wonder if it's the myrrh. I'm going to set this aside to age, and hopefully the bad floral will go away, and the myrrh, orris and rose will get richer.

In bottle: Lavender, pretty flowers, sweet, complex and interesting. Wet and drying down: Sweet mellow lavender. It's nice but I don't recognize a lot of what I'm smelling. Clean beautiful flowers. It's light and beautiful but there's depth too. Very feminine and pure. I'm not getting a lot of rose and I wish I was. Dry: Ehh, something doesn't seem to be working on me. It's gone a little sour, sharp and powdery. I'm going to age this one a bit though. It seems like it might improve. It's lovely when wet. ETA: I've since found out that orchid disagrees with me. I'm trying this again before I swap it. It's just so gorgeous when I first put it on. But after about a minute it turns into a bad floral.

In bottle: Sweet creamy peach and rich vanilla bean. Maybe some resin. Cute and pretty. Wet and drying down: Lots of sweet vanilla and some peach. It's so sweet and relaxing. Just lovely. Very summery. A warm relaxing summer day with a cool breeze. It smells delicious and golden. It also reminds me of a fruity vanilla pipe tobacco, which may sound bad but I love the smell of it. Dry: So good. Faded to a sweet vanilla sugary scent with a hint of peach. This doesn't feel like me at all but I think it will be really nice every once in a while. I think it's better as a skin scent than as a strong perfume. I bet it would be a nice lotion as long as I only added a little. Yummy. The imp I have has an older label on it, so it's aged some and it smells like it. It smells very rich and sweet. If you have a fresh imp of this and don't like it, I bet it would be a lot better if you put it away somewhere and forgot about it for a while.

In bottle: Lavender, sweet pretty orange Wet and drying down: Nothing but lavender. More lavender. It smells kind of sharp and sour. Something reminds me of urine. I want to like it but it smells so sour. Dry: Weird sourness and lavender. Ehh. It smells so nice in the bottle.

I tried this the other day and I don't particularly feel like wearing it again. It's a bit too masculine for me and I put it in the pile of stuff to try on my boyfriend. It reminds me of cola soda, effervescent, dare I use the word perky? Spicy and kind of woody, syrupy and dark brown. I think the clove really stands out. Overall, it's fun and interesting but not really for me.
