in the bottle, PQ reminds me of Jack, which is expected, but it scares me a little. Pumpkin tends to smell like smelly candles on my skin, but I was hoping that the other elements would balance it out.
On my skin it goes ultra-spicy with the buttery pumpkin hanging out in the background. The cardamom stands out A LOT. It's actually really nice, but it takes a minute to get used to.
Definitely softens up a bit on drydown.

I love the old formulation of 13, so I was hoping that this one would work on me. In the bottle and wet, it smells just like the description.
As it dries, it gets a little weird. It turns to a sort of unpleasent smell, and it's the same one that the MonsterBaits turned into on my skin.
I might give this one a go again in a month or two, but it's probably headed to the swap pile.

in the bottle the first thing I thought was "this smells like Samhain!"
which on one hand is good, because I love that scent, but bad too because no one likes it on me
as it dries down it starts to smell like a cross between Snake Charmer and Samhain. The dusty parts of SC with the lushness of Samhain, if that makes sense....
love it.

HGM starts of cloyingly sweet on my skin like grapefruit-ginger candy. As it starts to dry down it almost smells like Akuma to me (which is raspberries, blood orange and neroli).
After it dries it becomes a really tasty citrus cream. subtle, but very nice.

Midway is all cotton candy on me for the first ten minutes or so. then the sugary, buttery bits come out.
I have a lot of trouble with other bpal food scents like jack, hellcat and the monster baits, so I am very pleased that I LOVE this.
-
chocolatey with some green undertones. strangely, almost like pickle juice, and yet, it's not bad. weird.
in the first stages of drydown, the pickles go away and start to morph into something lightly floral/incensey. oooo, here comes the honey!
It ends up being soft and dry like cocoa powder and dried fruits. really delicious.
-
so if i was after a baby powder type scent what oil would i go for? no bpal's seem to turn powdery on me so it would have to be one that is a powdery scent anyway.Enraged Bunny Musk? I haven't tried it, but it's supposed to be powdery.

very clean and green, but at the same time, empty and dusty. I see where people say it smells like clean laundry out on the line, but it's in the middle of autumn, where the clothes are cold when they come in. crumpled leaves, clean clothes.
-
it's a very dusty incence, it doesn't remind me of chuch, so much as it reminds of of an old castle. It really doesn't morph at all on my skin. I like it, but I think I'll use it for a room fragrance instead.

This one is so perfect. Sweet, sweet apples with a soft, creamy pumpkin underneath. Sharp slivers of spices dancing all around. Reminds me of a beautiful day in late September.
-
I always thought that the pumpkin in Jack was too buttery for me, and at first that is exactly what I get w/ PP4. Butter.
As it dries down the sandalwood really comes out, giving this a really comforting fragrance, and cutting the buttery excess out. beautiful.
-
PP3 starts out really tangy and sweet but as it dries it gets too buttery for my skin, and almost starts to smell like cat pee. damn skin chemistry.

butter butter butter and....
beer! it's the hops. it's awful on my skin, very chemically.
-
I love this one. It starts off very woody, almost sandalwoody, the the cocoa comes out. at drydown, it's a soft sweet fig.
love.

Imperial violet softened by wisteria and chrysanthemum, but edged with the regal iciness of delphinium.
floral soap. most floral blends go soapy on my skin, but this one is special. It strongly reminds me of some pleasant childhood memory, that I can't really recall.
Not something I'd wear for myself, but I would definitely keep the imp just for sniffing purposes.
Very clean, very spring. -
ANISE hello!
but also, chocolate soap? am I crazy?
kind of sweet and swampy at the same time...
I'm not terribly familiar with civet or vetiver, as notes I can pick out for myself, so I couldn't tell you how close to the front they are.
It's a mossy Christmas cookie, this one, very foreboding, just as you should expect something that eats babies would.

In the imp: sweet crushed raspberries/blackberries.
On skin: softening berries, with a dusty hint, probably the sage. I can smell the same green tea that's in Shanghai, but this is sexier, sweeter....
It fades kind of fast on me, but it is really pretty. Very summery.
-
Right away I smell a boozy blackberry. No cocoa from the red velvet that I was expecting, but I do get the 'cat pee' response that some people are getting.
Neither of the Monster Baits worked on me, but I'm hoping that when I try them at another time of the month, I'll love them.
If not, off to the swap pile.
-
In the bottle: delightfully foodie, creamy.
On skin: something awful comes right to the front. maybe it's the cassia, but it is overwhelmingly strong and is actually making me nauseous. it's like chemical cookies.
I'm really disappointed in this because I wanted to like it so much.
I get no coconuts or angels.
-
bloodlust is not something I would have tried on my own, so when a friend gifted me with an imp, I was hesitant to try it. patchouli, red musk, they're not usually things that go well on me.
wet it smells like almonds and a woody note.
it gets drier and drier and the cinnamon really comes out on my skin. like stale red hots, but in a good way.
I get a lot of compliments wearing this, but I'm not sure it's a scent that I associate with me.
Very sexy though.

I'm not sure that I've ever smelled myrrh by itself, so that may be what I'm getting out of this blend. People have described myrrh as being 'sticky' and I can see how this scent could take on that adjective.
What I can pick out is a strong amount of wine and something sour underneath it. I can't smell any honey or flowers.

this was a frimp from the lab and one that I really wanted to try.
At first I really smell the sassafras but then the nutmeg comes out 10x as strong and it makes it smell like plastic or rubber.
This is a no-go for me.

my oil is really thick, but when I first applied it, it was seperated. partly clear and partly thick and dark. I had to shake it up.
on my skin it smells like dusty chocolate with clove over the top. very strong clove. not foody at all.
