Exquisitely melancholy. The background scent to an ancient exequies. Heavy, dark and floral: a blend of roses, with a touch of amber and musk. I have yet to find my BPAL rose scent, so I was very excited to receive this as a frimp from the Lab In the vial: velvety dark red rose with a smidge of patchouli. Wet: heady rose and patchouli. Dry: The longer I leave this on the more powdery it becomes. Eventually it reminded me of baby lotion. A pleasant smell, but not what I would like to wear as perfume.

In the vial: myrrh and sandalwood. Mmmm. Wet: dry woodsy and very masculine. Dry: wow, I wasn't expecting this to be a manly scent! I must get DH to try this.
-
In the imp: spicy floral. Wet: carnations! Dry: carnations. I waited for the the plum notes to come out to play, but it didn't happen. Off to swaps!
-
In the vial: herbal and sweet. Wet: amber and wine. Dry: Very light and sweet. Sweet herbs, perhaps a bit of sage, and wine. Very pretty.
-
In the bottle: sweet light floral with a touch of thyme. Wet: raw clover honey! Dry: honey and summer wild flowers warm from the sun. A very pretty scent, but a bit too sweet for me. The label is gorgeous so I may keep the bottle anyway.

I purchased this bottle to help me connect with the power of The Star, specifically tranquility. In the bottle: carambola! It took me awhile to remember the name of this fruit. Wet: carambola. At this point I remind myself that I didn't buy this to wear as perfume, but more for use during meditation. Dry: lovely! This morphed in to a beautiful smoky vanilla. This is the vanilla scent that I've been looking for!

I've been wanting to try this and received an frimp from the Lab In the vial: juicy fruit gum! Wet: tropical fruit salad. Dry: sweet, soft tropical floral. This blend was not what I expected at all! I expected a dark resinous scent rather than a tropical floral. I tried it twice and got the same result both times. Pretty, but a bit too sweet for me.

The essence of the most debauched hunger encapsulated into a perfume. Desire beyond love, anguish beyond sanity. Nutmeg, sassafras, black poppy and myrrh. I received this as a frimp from the Lab In the vial: I had a really strong scent association the first time I gave this scent just a wee sniff. I don't know if it was a good or bad memory, but it was visceral. Wet: I can't stop sniffing my wrist! This is an odd combination of incense from High Mass and an apple orchard that I frequented as a child. Dry: Fantastic. I love this even though I would classify it as more of a "masculine" scent. I don't know if I love it because of the way it smells or because of the memories that it evokes, but I must have a big bottle.

Vanilla, two ambers, sweet pea and white sandalwood. This imp was part of my MTP order from the Lab. In the imp: sweetened vanilla extract. Wet: sweet floral vanilla. Dry: Sweet and girly. I don't get any sandalwood. A pretty scent, but just not for me.
-
In the vial: sweet and citrus-y. Wet: sweet orange that. Yes, it is the Froot Loop smell. Then, uh,oh. Something went awry. This is not pleasant. Dry: Gah! Sharp and sour. This confirms that pepper is one of my mortal enemies.
-
In the vial: very sweet fruit. Wet: very sweet fruit. Uh, oh. Dry: Oh, my! The patchouli came through and made this absolutely delightful. This is the perfect summer patchouli scent!
-
In the vial: Sweet powdery floral. Wet: Very strong sweet powdery floral. It was so strong that it gave me a headache and I had to wash it off. I was very surprised that this scent did not agree with me since orchid scents are among my favorites
-
In the vial: very sweet and fruity. Wet: uh, oh. Very sweet cherries. Dry: This scent improved on the dry down. It was very sweet, fruity with maybe a tiny hint of carnation. A pretty scent, but too heavy for me.
-
In the bottle: Grapefruit, floral, ginger. Wet: Grapefruit and sweet floral grounded by ginger. Dry: Delicious! I couldn't have hoped for a more wonderful blend! I ordered a 10ml. This is my new #1 BPAL scent!
-
In the bottle: citrus and a lovely sweet fruit. Pomegranite (sp?) Wet: grapefruit, tropical fruit and a lovely tea note. Dry: this is such a complex scent that there isn't one note that stands out. What a lovely blend! I love this and I am so happy that I splurged on two bottles.

This imp was a gift and I had no idea what to expect. In the vial: fir trees in the winter. Wet: cold fir trees and eucalyptus. Dry: still cold fir trees and eucalyptus. I will use this as a home scent rather than perfume.

In the vial: wow, foody. I didn't read the reviews before I bought this decant, so I was expecting something quite different. Wet: this blend must have the same peppermint note as Lick It! I have a cool spot where I applied it. Dry: I smell like a bowl of Halloween candy! Almond Joy, Peppermint Patties, yum!
-
In the bottle: I checked the label again, because this smells just like Bailey's Irish Cream! Wet: I am trying not to lick my wrist b/c this smells like a delicious dessert liquer. Dry: This scent has really changed! It is spicy with a hint of nuttiness (must be the coconut) and the depth of cocoa. I don't usually like the super foody scents, but this is wonderful. A keeper and the label art is fantastic

In the vial: spicy and slightly boozy. Delish! Wet: patchouli and spice with a hint of booze. Something else has joined the party, perhaps the leather? Dry: Something is not agreeing with me. Maybe the leather? This is one of the few oils that I've had a reaction to (itchy red spot on wrists), so I need to confine Spanked to a scent locket.

I agree with Arylkin about Szepasszony being the most "cooling" non-tea/citrus GC scent. For wintery mintiness it is hard to beat Nuclear Winter or Lick It. Lick It actually leaves a cold spot on my wrist when I apply it.

I was so happy to get to try this scent! In the vial: cranberry strings around a pine tree on a chilly winter morning. Wet: the pine note fades and the berry note is dominant. Dry: the perfect Yule scent!
-
I received this as a gift from my lovely Switch Witch, Atthis In the vial: tulip, peony, green leaves and the aquatic/ozone smell from a brief spring rain shower. Wet: all of the notes blend so well. Tulip may be slightly dominant. Dry: this does not change from the wet stage. The throw is light enough to wear to work. I love this scent and have added it to my Top Ten. Definite Big Bottle purchase for me!

I am a huge fan of ginger so I was thrilled to finally get to try this scent. In the vial: warm ginger and herbs. I agree with the reviewer up-thread who said this reminded her of Asian spices (in a good way). Wet: a very well rounded warm ginger scent. Resinous. Dry: exotic and lovely. I understand why many people love this scent because I love it, too. I am going to see if I can approximate it by layering Bagdahd and Kumiho.

I received this as a frimp from the Lab In the vial: sandalwood, bergamot, faintly incense-y Wet: more resinous and masculine Dry: the musk really amped once the oil was dry. This is a wonderful scent for men.

I received this scent as a frimp from the lab I am kind of afraid to try this because I think pirate=stinky, but I've decided to give it a whirl. In the vial: lavender and violets, but another deep, decidedly masculine note. Wet: lavender, salt and the mysterious manly note. Dry: too masculine for me, but I think this is a wonderful manly scent. I will give it to DH to try.
