Received in a mad imp order of everything myrrh. In the bottle: Rose and Lily of the Valley. Love! On: Wow, this has some kind of throw! (I'll have to apply a little less liberally next time ) It was stand out ROSE and LILY on me at first, and now has mellowed out to being and incensey rose/lily scent. I love this! I seem to like all things church like (my other one that I love as much as this one is Midnight Mass from the resin notes as well.)

This one is really floral. For some reason, it kind of reminds me of Night's Pavillion, which I have (and like if I'm in a floral mood) I don't know if my skin ate the incense, but I can't detect it. I'll have to try this one again after I get over my love affair with Gingerbread Poppet.

BPAL to represent each month, each season? Holidays, like Christmas?

This year, I was seasonal with my October choices...I tried to have ones that were halloweenies or halloween sounding (like Red Devil, Jersey Devil, Darkness, Wicked, etc....) Then, on All Saints Day, I wore Midnight Mass. -
I got my bottle yesterday, and I am wearing it today... At first it is all really spicy apple cider, and then it dries down and I can smell the patchouli. I'm getting whiffs of apple cider every now and then. I feel like I'm surrounded by fall. Love this!

My friend just let me sample her imp, and I think it smells like the gooey goodness of the underneath part of a pecan pie...yummy!

I love geek, which is a very piney earthy scent on me (for some reason, it is also reminding me a little of Midnight Mass...which is one of my favorite scents for the winter) I can see why some people would think of this as a masculine scent, and I think it would smell awesome on a guy, but it smells really nice on me too. I'm going to have to save this one for the colder months!

Oooooo.....I Love O! This was actually the scent that made me interested in bpal. My friend told me about it, and let me sample her imp, and I sniffed my wrist all day. I don't know why it has taken me so long to order a 5ml, but I'm so glad I finally did! In the bottle: Honey! Wet: Ok, this is weird, but there was kind of a mildewy smell underneath all that honey goodness. I don't know if it is because I had black cat on that morning and it was a reaction between the two...but thankfully, as soon as it dried, the mildew was gone. Dry: Omg, I love how this smells. It is the most perfect honey scent ever. With vanilla and amber. Joy!

Midnight Mass is my first bpal love (I am relatively new to bpal) It brings back memories of church incense. It's a peaceful scent and one that I hope they bring back next year. It's funny...a lot of Catholic people will comment that they love the perfume I'm wearing when I wear this. Coincidence? I think not.

Ok, I really wanted to like Smut. I loved snake oil, so I thought Smut would be a natural shoo in. But damn my chemistry....Damn you! It smelled wonderful in the bottle, wonderful wet on my skin and then dried down to something that can only be described as urinal cake. I know I've smelled it on my other bpal buddies (and it smelled awesome) Lucky them, poor me. I wanted to be part of the smut cult.

I was scared when I first smelled this in the bottle. It really did smell like church...and I was wondering if I wanted to smell like a church or not...but it is absolutely beautiful and incensy...perfect for bellydance performances This was my first BPAL scent, and now I'm completely hooked. Everyone that I have had smell it likes it too.
