I was expecting a full out wild woman running through the forest kind of scent. The name evokes the dead of winter, crystalline, crunchy snow with hot steamy breath being exhaled during a madcap joyful chase. Alas, that is not Wolf Moon at all In the bottle: Pine forest at the crack of spring. There's snow a-melting and water trickling down to the streams. Bits of vegetation are poking their heads out from the blanket of snow. On the skin: I smell early snow-drops, heavy berries and butter. As it dries down the butter becomes more pronouced - a berry cobbler on my wrist I asked my 6-year-old what he thought of it and the reply was "Cherries!!" All I know is that I'm in love with this oil and sooo glad that t3andcrumpets could part with it. Thanks so much

I received an imp of Shadow from the kind and generous t3andcrumpets. Little did she know how perfect it is for me. In the imp: Something quite dark and a bit menacing. Wet and dry on the skin: Oooo. This is smokey woody goodness with just a hint of dry grass and wildflowers in the background. This scent really took me back to my childhood. Going up on a ranch, my family used a wood burning stove for heat in the winter. That, of course, meant that come late summer or early fall we had to cut wood. This ranch is on grassland pasture - there are very few trees for the cutting. Being industrious, hard-working folks we would cut old fence posts, torn down corral wood, any thing that couldn't be used to patch up existing buildings. Shadow is exactly the scent of old cedar and pine posts going through the huge sawblade on a scorching hot August day. Just a tinge of dried grass and long gone wildflowers on the hot wind. The sweat and hard work of the whole family gathering warmth for the below zero winters. Ahhh... the memories. I'll definitely be wearing this with love and rememberance.

In the bottle: Happy lush bouquets of spring flowers - tulip, dahlia, lily of the valley, sprigs of greenery. On my skin: Wow, this is a potently strong floral. Almost smells like an incredibly indulgent spring wedding bouquet. Lots of lily and heady orchid. About 1 hour later: Oh my, this has turned into a very astringent lye soap scent on me. Too bad Final analysis: I'll imp some out to swap but I really love the exuberant floral so I'll try it out as a oil burner scent.

I decided to get Strength as I'm needing A LOT of it to get through a current work project: strength of character, strength in code, strength to get through long days and even longer weeks That being said this oil is an absolute joy to help me keep in touch with all that is good and right in the world. In the imp: Fresh cut grass! The mower's been put away and I get to enjoy and ice cold beer while sitting in the prebagged cuttings. Mmmm... 5 Mins later: Ahhh... while sitting in the grass I'm noticing the garden of stargazer lilies has begun to bloom. The dew is still on them because they are in the shade and I can smell that too. 1 hour later: I've bagged the grass and cut some lillies for the dining room and I am getting the wonderful wifts of sundrenched amber and honey. This oil keeps on going on me for about 7 hours before needing to be reapplied. It's wonderful getting to experience the grass and lilies all over again.
