This is my first lunacy blend In the bottle: There's a very distinct, almost sharp masculine scent about this. If i sniff at it more, I get an underlying soft sweetness. Straight out of the bottle, this isnt something I would choose to wear, but a blend with this many notes s bound to do some morphing, so on it goes! Wet: The sharpness is immediately softened by my skin. Now i can start to tell the difference between the herby and fruity notes, but the fruit is still hiding out in the background. Dry: The ale is definitely noticeable, and so are the plum and cherry. The herbyness is still around, but definitely softened now. This reminds me of the smell of my grandparents house, after thanksgiving dinner, after all the dishes are cleared, and someone has spilled their beer on the tablecloth. This is such a comforting blend. I see myself using this more as a room fragrance than an actual perfume, but I'm definitely glad that I grabbed a bottle

I got Imp as a frimp from a forum sale, smelled it, and didn't think much of it. It was like patchouli and overripe, almost rotten fruit. Today though, I closed my eyes and pulled an imp out of my "to-try" pile, and it so happened to be this one. I dabbed a little on, and it was Super patchouli, with an almost cloyingly sweet note lingering around. I went about my business though, tidying the house and puttering around, and as it wares on, I find myself smooshing my nose into my wrist, because I can't get enough of it! It's turned into a sweet, warm, very "golden sunshine" sort of smell. All I can imagine is laying in the grass on a warm sunny day, and eating some sort of juicy summertime fruit. The throw is great too, I can smell it lingering around me, and I only dabbed a little on one wrist. Imp is definitely going on the big bottle list.

In the imp: Like having a cupcake mushed into your face at a rowdy birthday party. All cake and sweetness! Wet: Still cakey, but my skin amps the vanilla and warms it up a little, so now its less sweet and more a "cooling on the counter before frosting" sort of smell. Dry: I can smell the currants lingering around in there now, keeping everything nice and rounded out. They keep this from being too young, but it's definitely dancing on the edge of one of those smells. After a while: Warm and slightly sweet, but mellow and sooooo delicious. This blend lasts forever on my skin, no need to reapply. Sometimes my clothes still smell like it until they get washed. It has a good throw too, not overpowering, but definitely noticeable. To date, this is my go-to blend, and definitely in my top three.

I received this as a frimp from an Ebay auction that I won. I'm assuming my imp was aged, but I can't be sure. Anyways, I would never have picked this for myself because the honeysuckle and myrrh aren't notes that I'm normally attracted to, but I'm SO happy that I got to try this. In the imp: Creamy cinnamon. Sweet and fiery all in one. Wet on my skin: Still sweet and cinnamony, but even less spicy. Like what I imagine "cinnamon-lite" would smell like. It's very bright and soft at the same time. There's a soft fresh sort of note, which I assume is the honeysuckle, calming down what could be an over powering spiceyness. Dry on my skin: This is almost unbearably comforting. I keep smooshing my face into my wrist and inhaling with closed eyes. There's a creamy sweetness swirling around with the cinnamon that reminds me of some mouthwatering desert that I can't place. I can't pick out any one note more than the other at this point, it's just really well-balanced tastiness. Overall: I need a full sized bottle!! I keep dabbing this on before I leave the house, and my little imp is running low. This is a very work-friendly scent that I'm sure I'll be comfortable wearing at any time of the year, because I just love it so much. I think that if the cinnamon were any stronger, it might just be too much, but this is perfect and comfortable and fantastic for every day.

In the imp: Lime! It smells like lime drink crystals, with a little bubbly punch to it. Wet on my skin: Very bright and fresh, sweet and fruity. Still lots of lime, but now a little more herby. I can't distinguish melon specifically, but I think it's adding to the sweet fruity feel. Dry on my skin: I'm starting to pick up more of the herby notes, but it's still very bright and fun. I can't pinpoint any one note now, everything is swirling together nicely, but the fruitiness has definitely calmed down. 1 hour later: Still bright and exciting! I feel like it might be turning a touch powdery, but something in there is still keeping it sweet enough for now. Maybe the melon? Either way, I love this. It's definitely going on my "Full Sized" list *I wore this again on another day and it instantly turned powdery, which was very upsetting. However, I gave the imp to my little sister and it smells incredible on her. Like Gingerale with a big splash of lime!

First Review! In the bottle: Thick, strong, syrupy pear. There's something else there too that I'm not sure I can place. It seems almost floral, but it might be the honey. No vanilla cream just yet. Wet on my skin: Still syrupy. Still lots of pear. It reminds me of the sugary syrup that canned pears float in, if it were heated up. There's more of a warmth now, but I still can't find any vanilla cream. I'm afraid that the honey might not be cooperating with me, because my wrist seems to be a turning a little soapy. I really hope it doesn't Dry on my skin: The syrupy-ness has calmed down, and the creamy vanilla is starting to shine through. The soapyness was a false alarm, everything is good now The pear, honey, and vanilla are really working together now, and turning into something very dreamy and sweet. 1 hour: Perfection. The vanilla cream is swirling around with the pear, and the honey has really calmed down now. I feel like the honey caused me the most grief, bu it has really settled into the background, just adding a bit of warm sweetness now more than anything else. Over all: I really like The Vine. It's my first foray into the magical world of BPAL, and I'd say it was successful. I was a little worried at first that this would be too sickeningly sweet for me, but it's really turned into something I could wear regularly. I wouldn't slather this on though, i think it's something I'll dab on occasionally just to sweeten myself up a bit
