Soft and almost fuzzy. As it dries, the honey pops more and it's like a greenery wreath with a hint of honey in the breeze. It smells fresh and alive, and I like it a lot. Where I'd wear this: On a rainy spring day, with the windows open
-
I find this really unexpected. It's a lot greener than I was thinking it would be (but it's not green apple). I feel like it smells like lily leaves instead of lily flowers. Where I'd wear this: In a fresh garden
-
Herbal, confusing, and self-assured. I like this a lot, but maybe it smells too similar to another blend I have. I want to say Tombstone, weirdly. Where I'd wear this: To keep cool (and cool-headed) in Arizona

Like something that used to be zingy and has been worn down a bit from constant use and battle. Still zingy, but now more mellowed. Does seem to fade quickly... or maybe it just went Stealth. I like this! When I'd wear this: Early spring

I like this one a lot. The notes listed make it sound like it's going to be super weird smelling (which I often like), and it is. Pleasing but surprising. Normal but weird. Confusing and adaptive. Kind of like Sherlock himself I guess. No grossness from the cigarettes or greasepaint (I like tobacco blends but I was worried about the grease - nothing to worry about after all!). Where I'd wear this: Important presentations to look clean and clever

This is unique as fk. It smells like spicy grass about to catch fire. A brushfire waiting to happen. Like the potential for purification is in the scent itself. Wow. I wouldn't wear this, but I'd use it for the house for spring-spirit-cleaning. Where I'd use this: Spring-spirit-cleaning the house.

Ooooh. This reminds me of something. Like... I don't want to say "This reminds me of Goo-Gone" because I don't want to come off like it smells like a cleaning product, but... it reminds me of Goo-Gone. In the best way. I know there are no citrus notes listed, but I swear I sniff some. I love the rose here. The patchouli is really rounding it out well. What a unique blend! So glad I got to try it! I think I want a bottle. (And after 10 minutes, the Goo-Gone vibe is totally gone, no worries!) Where I'd wear this: To the botanical gardens

If this is what Prague smells like, I'm buying a ticket today. A bit of soap here, but it doesn't bother me. It smells squeaky clean... like early summer before global warming. Where I'd wear this: Right out of the bath in the summer

Oh wow! Green licorice! I totally forgot absinthe had anise (and thus 'licorice') and this was a fun surprise. I've never smelled absinthe (the real kind or the 'legal' kind) so I can't speak to whether or not it matches that, but it certainly smells like a green fairy. Very unique, unexpected, and fun. I like this! ...But it is not a scent I'd wear. Where I'd wear this: A candy-themed party or an opium den.

Oh. My. God. How did I wait so long to pick this up? It's so elegant and polished. Feminine, but strong. Like an evening goddess calmly and confidently watching over her world. It smells like gloaming. It is literally my favorite nighttime scent ever. I can't even. This is only the fourth blend I've ever gone out of my way to get a second bottle of. I'm buying 3 more. Where I'd wear this: In the gloaming.

This could be the one. I love the smell of Snake Oil but it's a little too much for an every day scent for me. I was hoping to find a nice compromise among these Carnaval Snake Pit blends. This is the 4th or 5th I've bought (thank god Carnaval has lasted so long) and it may be the best yet. It's got that sultry, smoky, spiciness of Snake Oil, but the coconut is really mellowing it out. I like the vetiver here, too. Much deep, chewy, earthiness. Much love. Where I'd wear it: Would be great in the autumn, but I think it'd work on a sultry summer night, too.

The mint and green tea are the clear standouts on my skin. I like the smell of snake oil, but I find it a little too much for everyday wear, so I was really hoping one of these Snake Pit blends would tone it down enough for me to get that vibe without overwhelming the people in my office. I think this smells really fresh and zingy. I think I like it, but I don't know that I LOVE it. I'll probably try it a few more times and see how I feel in it all day. Where I'd wear it: A sunny, outdoor summer festival

Such a tart burst of citrus on first sniff! Always on the hunt for a good apricot, but I knew it was a risk with blood orange, which often overwhelms on my skin. In this, the ough almost saves the day for me. Very similar to Winter: 4 Seasons, which also went too orange on me. It's lovely, but I'm not sure about it. May let it sit for a little longer to see if I change my mind on it - on the fence right now. Where I'd wear this: To watch the sunrise at Midsummer.

Milk Chocolate, Cacao Cream, Ceylon Cinnamon, and Coffee Absolute
gloame replied to VioletChaos's topic in Lupercalia
Mmmm, yum yum yum yum yum!!! Because of a move, and my shipment arriving right in the middle of it, this set of Lupers and Yules got to sit around and age for a couple of months before I broke into them. This is taking me right back to chilly winter nights and I love it. Chocolate is so iffy with me - sometimes goes all 'feet' on my skin - but this is delish. Not a lot of coffee here, but I love the blend none the less. Where I'd wear this: To watch the Nutcracker in a cozy scarf. -
My constant search for a peach and a gardenia blend that feels perfect for me. On first sniff, this was much juicier and fruitier than I hoped. The nectarine, I think. I don't know what to think about this; by the time the frankincense shows, it's starting to fade away. It smells nice and light, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. The search continues. When I'd wear this: Summer brunch
-
Woah, this is spicy-sharp on first sniff! Goes, milky-spicy. Not cinnamon spice, but it doesn't feel like the frankincense to me, either. Is it motherwort or angelica root? I have no idea what those smell like. The more this dries, the more I love it. It smells like a warrior woman. When I'd wear it: When I'm feeling extra feminist and bad-ass.

Got what I would've sworn was a whiff of patchuli at first sniff; must be the tobacco leaf, but a fresher, greener tobacco leaf than I was expecting. Starts to smooth out as it dries. Then I start to get some of the beeswax, smoke, and tobacco. Normally, I can sniff a rose a mile away, but this one is hesitant on me. I do get something kind of deep and purple. I think I really like this, and I think it will only get better.

Smells white and fruit-floral...almost like bubblegum (the tuberose). Not getting any lemon or caramelized vanilla. It's a soft, pretty scent, but ultimately not quite what I'm looking for.
-
This is really nice. It smells... IDK, ancient. It feels sacred to smell it. Not a perfume I'd wear, but I'd love my house to smell like this all the time.
-
Wow! Light, beautiful... sandalwood? So soft and tranquil!
-
Really nice man scent here! The sage gives it a different dynamic that I really like.
-
I'm just now smelling this. After 5 years, it's a light, resin-y, perfume scent. The rose isn't overly heavy, but it does give it that 'perfume' smell. I like it, but there's very little throw and it seems to fade within minutes. No pineapple
-
Man am I mad I missed this one... 7 years ago. I was still buying 1 bottle at a time then (will power, where art thou nou?) and it wasn't my first choice. I got a sniffy imp from a forum buy and god, it's pretty. Resin, expensive perfume, and softly drying iris. I want. ETA to add where I'd wear this: To see the Nutcracker, early evening, December

Wow watermelon. This is the silliest scent I've ever scented! And then it totally changes and it's super pretty and summertime. I didn't expect to like this at all when I sniffed the watermelon, but woah, what a revolution.

I just have the worst luck with rose. It overtakes everything else in a blend on me. This started out quite interesting and pretty and went rose city within 5 minutes. I'm sure it would be sexy and lovely on others. ETA Where I'd wear this: The Parade of Roses, if you want to hide
