Another vote for green (but a light green, not foresty) fresh & most assuredly masuline. yet another I threw Red's way as I liked it very much with it's dry arid summery feel, but again, this is one for the blokes. Lovely but better smelt on your man then on oneself
-
STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!! I adored this one, but it is so very boldly "male" that I gave it to Red. Smells like a more traditional (dare I say 'mainstream') men's cologne, but with that BPAL edge that hits you like commercial scents can only manage for the 1st 5 minutes before they fade to nothing. Crisp, Bussiness like ( I got images of Red in a Black pinstripe suit & blood red shirt for some reason when I smelt this) & so very very masculine. I adored it & it smelt fab on me, but being a girly girl I figured I'd rather smell it on the boy than on me
-
VANILLA VANILLA VANILLA that is all I get woth this one. Far too sweet for me so will see what happens to it on the boy as he has a knack of making what's sickly sweet on me far more boyish & menacing.

uRGH! I have no idea what's happening to my body but just over the last month, if that, my bod is rejecting or morphing scents in ways it never used to?! I got this a while ago (almost 6 months) & really liked it & wore it. It was woodsy & spicy but in a very dry & wispy way. Put it on to try for the 1st time in ages the other night & it smelt, to my horror, strongly of the ol' mary-jane?! WTF? So, from what I initially remember this was a nice dry woody lightly spiced scent which was very autumny & pleasant. Just my body going haywire has made it smell like the one scent I truly loathe (hate pot & Red's allergic to it).

Hakkotsu & Shadow are good ones too -
I'm sooo Hanging for Old Melbourne!! (not half in love with my hometown at all) Old Berlin could be cool too- have a strange fascination with that city. The smell of bombed out ruins...hmmm. & Freya- given it's what I want to call my 1st born girl (Titania runs a close second)

Thanks for the kind words. =) I'll pass the Kindly Luv onto Brian... those three are his babies. I was uploading the new sku info, so that might have been the problem. I gave it a go and got through checkout. [crossing fingers!] "Eumenides" makes me snarf. reminds me of a joke on an episode of the young ones "knock Knock" "who's There?" "Euripedes" "Euripedes who?" "Euripedes trousers, Eumendides trousers!" *lol*

*giggle* just finished re-reading Azkaban That sounds like a good night. 2 of my fave things- red wine & Harry Potter If only customs let us send grog via post- I'd send some Annie's lane red to you- I don't know what it is in the soil in South Australia but shit it makes for a fantabulous bottle of red! Enjoy the time out babe! You earnt it!

Ted and I used to play MTG. Haven't had time in so long... It's been even longer since we played AD&D. No wonder I'm going bugshit. *sigh of relief* ok- so it's not just Red & I .... Where other couples would be out burning up the dancefloor at a club in their gothic finery- we'd be sitting here in out tracksuit pants & daggy t-shirts playing MTG til the wee hours- par-tay!

"PELE Whimsical, temperamental, radiant and ravishingly beautiful Goddess of Volcanoes, Fire, Lightning and Dance. She is the Mother of Eruptions and the personification of destructive power. Volcanic eruptions are said to be a side-effect of her jealous rages and her epic quarrels with her siblings are legendary. This perfume embodies her gentler, benign aspect as the capricious Goddess of Dance: muguet and Hawaiian white ginger enveloped by warm, damp tropical blooms. " Fire? Volcanoes? jealous rages & epic quarrels? No freakin' wonder I love this one so much?! Ta for the sample- It's my latest fave. & BTW_ Ted should be here if he hates summer- a right royal storm brewing out there tonight. Yep- 1st day of winter tomorrow! Melbourne winter's rock! No snow- just grey, chilly & rainy

Red was never a scent person til I got him some BPAL Spicy/musky he has that are good men's ones are: Czernobog Titus Andronicus Golden Priapus Satyr Hellfire Fenris Wolf Baron Samedi Othello He also wears Zombi, Wicked (a chick's one, but oddly it really works on him), He adores Villain (as it seems most guys do) & just handed him new imps of Whitechapel, Tombstone, Scarecrow, Jolly Roger (which is the most divine boy's smell). If musky/spicy id what he likes though don't dimiss the more girly ones as body chemistry is weird & as with Red & wicked, it can work.
-
Only my 5 ml of Old Paris leaked a wee bit & the labels come off but the rest were all hunky dory

I have a new favourite!!!!!!! Pele is divine. So light & beautiful. It smells like you just got out the shower & stepped into a powdery boudoir clad in vintage silk lingerie. Have no idea what's in it but it's stunning.

Well, I'm still waiting on my original order whic was placed late January/early Feb (is when I got confirmation of order from Beth) & I just asked Nella if it went out last Friday as per e-mail or, due to the fact that I had Bordello & O among my selections, I'll have to wait another week to get it. There's been some stuff ups with the PO which have set us both back- in my case a wayward money order which got sent back to me & apparently Beth tries sending my order once before & it went missing too. But after nearly 4 months I can't say I'm not a wee bit egg-cited about the possibility of finally getting my order though, with all that's gone on I'm not getting my hopes up too much as it may go missing yet again en route. It's been so long I'd actually almost given up hope of getting it as, like Beth said in an e-mail to me, I'm sure some guy in Ghana or some such place is getting all these wayward orders & asking "WTF is this?" Whoever's getting our missing orders (possibly not a Gahnan man, more likely crooked postal employees) are damn lucky. However, I got my belated b'day pressie from Beth this week which has restored my faith in the honesty & efficiency of postal workers on both sides of the Pacific *waves over the water to all the Californian's*. So hopefully the order is restored & chaos long behind the lab as they enter the next big exciting phase of the business (yay for storefront! Yay for Beth maybe being able to do this full time!)- from someone else doing a monkey job to pay the bills & save $ toward her dream career I say "you go girl!" )

Another one here who will look at getting it done around x-mas pressie from me to me

Versus in the red glass bottle? That's my sister's all time fave & not last year, the year before I found it online for her 21st- Strawberrynet.com have it (or did) but only in the 100ml. Broke her heart when they discontinued it...til big sister came to the rescue! She hasn't worn it for ages though- she's now a BPAL devotee & obsessed with Feu Follet
-
In Oz & no signature req'd. But wouldn't mind if i had to. My postie usually just puts it on out front doorstep & knocks- he's backing out the driveway by the time I get to the door- he just likes to alert us to it's presence

Looking for scents that smell like chai
Gothabillywench replied to Vicious Mistress's topic in Recommendations
Mighty fine chai here- http://www.t2tea.com They may ship o'seas? -
I can't believe it's taken me this long to post on this! This was one of the 1st BPAL scents I ever tried & I still love it! This is a winter rainy day smell. It's very strong & heady. Spicy but with a mega violet kick to sweeten things up a little. This one lasts all day & for ages after as my winter scarf came out of hiding yesterday after a very long summer & I could still smell the Fuatus on my scarf - from last winter!! Just a perfect winter evening smell- sexy, intoxicating but still girly enough from the violet to stop the spices & resins from making it manly.
-
Purpleness! This smell is purple! Not an in your face bright purple, this is a dusky mauvy purple. The initial hit is lavendar & plenty of it. After a minute or two the more sinister purple slither of violet peeks through. The white musk is the platform from which the two distinct purple smells vie it out in a bttle for supremacy. Lavendar is the clear winner all the way through, but the violet has left it's mark on it & made it presence known. Odd as normally I despise lavender but like this & LOVE Old Paris. Sonething about the combo's Beth puts the lavendar in makes it bareable, even lovely to my nose. I am a mega violet fan, but can find it cloying at times, in this scent I get the violet hit I crave without it running amok & taking over & getting a bit too much. & that musk floats like a cloud under it all, riegning them both in a bit. I like it. Probably not one I'd buy, maybe ona guy this would work better. But it's lovely nonetheless.

Another one the wonderful Redwitche sent me an imp of for my b'day. It was inseasonably summery up until yesterday, where, in typical melbourne fashion it just went "Boom- AUTUMN" . & This smell is Autumn in a bottle. Where Faustus is my rainy cold day smell, Samhain looks set to become my scent for those crisp, biting Autumn days where there's a definite chill in the air but the sun's still shining & all the leaves are rusty orange & collecting in big piles at the bottom of the near naked trees. This smell is the promise of the winter ahead & all the great things it brings. It's the smell of the 1st day when it's cold enough to get the fireplace going again, the 1st really rainy night where staying indoors & tucking into decadent winter foods is the only option. I'm not a fan of foody smells (Mum has "Jack" which is too foody for me) but in the case of this one I'll make an exception as the spice cuts through & stops it being too much like a bakery type smell. Great balance.

Got an imp of this from Redwitche for my b'day & just to reiterate what has been said above. No surprises with this one- it really, truly does smell like a freshly cut rose still covered with droplets of dew. Rosey but green rosey & with a hint of that smell you get after it's just rained. It smells like my front garden! (yep- roses galore at my place!) Perfection- it is what it is & it it does it so well.

The Best BPAL scents for young girls through teenagers
Gothabillywench replied to Dulci's topic in Recommendations
My sister's 22 & a coltish child like saggie. & Ones I'd suggest & that I know she's tried & 'borrows' off me are: Belladonna & Endymion. I'd also add Phantom Queen, Viola to that list & from my sister's collection of girly smells Old New orleans, Black rose, Feu Follet (her all time fave) & maybe some of the sweetie foodie ones like Old Morocco & Black Phoenix as food always seems to appeal to sagittarians! Your daughter sounds like my Emma! Em's nickname is "the mouse" because she's as quiet as one.. but my God has she got a little volcano under all that sweetness! Sometimes you forget she's a fire sign as she's so childlike & seemingly begnin- & then you piss her off......
