    Buck Moon 2017

This is incredible! Snuggly, fuzzy, comforting. In the bottle I smell the herbs and pine, but on my skin this dries down to a sweet, soft, gentle musky scent. I smell sweet dry grasses, grains, and brown fur. The musk reminds me a lot of Snake Charmer! This is like Snake Charmer and Coyote had a roll in the hay out in the woods during the golden hour of sunset, with the moon just starting to rise. I can see myself wearing this a ton on the fall. This would me magnificent on the man thing as well but I am not sharing! This one is pure BPAL magic <3

    Antique Lace

2017 version. My first experience with the fabled Antique Lace and it lives up to the hype! Soft, cozy, snuggly, comforting. Sepiatone. A little waxy, maybe the barest hint of smoky. Dusty feeling without being dusty smelling. Vanilla without being foody or sweet. This would be great everyday scent and/or I would wear this to get married in. It makes me think of an old sleeping gown, liquid ink and fancy parchment paper, dried baby's breath flowers, giant melty candles, and an unsweet dessert like panna cotta or pound cake. Divine! Thrilled to have gotten the chance to have this beauty!

    Strawberry Moon 2017

This is my first Strawberry Moon and I am in love! Fresh, cool, wild strawberries still on the vine. This is the freshest, unfoody and un-dolls head strawberry note I've tried yet! Sweet but in a totally natural and wild way. A fresh grass and wildflower meadow with the scent of wild strawberries blowing in the breeze. It's real strawberries and "outdoors". Lovely!

    Nasty Woman

These are notes I usually don't go for! There is patch here! I will need to use a really light touch application but I will wear! I also think this will age gorgeously. Has a luper Venus vibe. This would be awesome layered with French vanilla SN. Very womanly and very nasty! I really understand Beth's scent story here. The woman part is very soft, warm, powdery, hint of rose, classic. And the nasty part just adds GNAR to that with the patchouli. I can totally smell the honeyed ambler oud and it's to die for! There is something about this that is really nostalgic and comforting. It remind me of both my great aunt who was a Lady with a capital L and my "auntie" aka my moms BFF who was/is 100% a bra burning hippie. I feel like I'll get s lot of wear out of this at home, being cozy. A just for me scent.

    Miss Lizzie

Holy carnation explosion Batman! This is Car-na-tion. I don't get any honey or red fruits. I wanted fruity floral but on me it's just carnation, but kind of dusty powdery carnation as opposed to spicy. If you are a carnation gal you need this!

    Pumpkin Brittle Atmosphere Spray

THIS. This is so so good! This is a great fall Atmo. Just as it says on the tin: pumpkin brittle and toffee and a bit of nutty pepitas. A touch of cinnamon but not spicy. Sweet and foody and smells like the yummiest pumpkin dessert and like you are baking something delicious. Yum! And another adorable cat label!

    Pumpkin Sugar

This is the cutest bottle, and I'm sure it's just perfect for so many people. But, I think I have finally learned my lesson that I amp pumpkin to high hell and smell like raw vegetables and Indian food. In the bottle this is sweet sugary pumpkin! On my skin it's OMG PUMPKIN SPICE AND CURRY. RED HOTS. RAW SQUASH. It does dry down to a sweeter gentler scent but it is not for me. Personal Fail.

    Yipe!

In the vein (GET IT) of Boo, Suck It, and Spooky, this is a gushing font of sweet bloody black cherry cream and crushed dried blackberries. I dont think I have any other BPAL with cherry so I can't compare it to any others. Starts off almond/cherry but quickly settles down to cherry hard candy with some depth from the blackberry. I do wish it kept the intensity of the wet stage. Dries down to be not so much creamy, but alllllmost play doughy/doll's head. Almost child like. Not very strong throw. On me this ultimately is my beloved Bordello's little sister. Like if Bordello is Barbie this is Skipper. Or maybe even Skipper's little sister haha.

    Honeyed Apple

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Just *gorgeous*. Definitely sweet, juicy, delectable apple and pale, perfumey honey. The lab scents that I have have either a thick, strong, dank (in a good way!) honey with intense throw like in The Witches or more recently Sharing of the Cake HG; or light, sweet almost effervescent honey that I smell in Honey Moon. This is definitely the lighter honey. These two notes blend together into the most beautiful, sweet perfume that wafts juicy apple from time to time but ultimately dries down into a extremely feminine scent with hits of light honey tang. Really nice throw and wear length. It's amazing how just two components come together to create something more than the sum of their parts. If you like sweet girly scents this is for you! Plus, the label is just the cutest. Those little marching trick or treating kitties just make my day! Meow! Might need a backup of this.

    French Vanilla

Just as advertised! A Vanilla Single Note! It's a light vanilla, not a deep or chewy one like say Love's Philosophy. Definitely custardy, like an uncooked Creme Brûlée or vanilla pudding, although not particularly foody. It invokes the color of vanilla custard without vanilla bean flecks. More cool than warm. Sweet but not at all cloying. Simple but yummy. It has a touch of what I know people will say is "plastic", but it is not plastic to me, it's what makes it a "French" vanilla. Not sure yet what the throw is like or if it will be more of a stand alone or something to layer but probably both! I would imagine this will get richer and even more lovely with age. A clean, light, simple, and straightforward vanilla. I'm happy to have a bottle!

Jeune Femme Nourrissant une Licorne Atmosphere Spray

Ok I have to write a review because this deserves more love. It deserves ALL the love! I. LOVE. THIS. SO. MUCH! I got this on a whim as I don't really do too many atmos but I had to have the Sharing of the Cake HG (also phenomenal!) and this sounded really pretty so I thought it should come along for the ride. I am so glad that it did! This is stunningly beautiful. When I first sprayed this on my bed I actually made a UNNNNGGGGG sound and threw myself on my comforter and closed my eyes and sniffed and sniffed. It's sweet and creamy and fruity and gorgeous! I can really tell that this is part of a collection as it reminds me of DeVos. It doesn't smell the same, but you can tell they are cousins. Much like DeVos, I can't really pick out individual notes in this. DeVos makes me think of the color lavender and cream and fairy sparkles. Jeune Femme makes me think of the color pale green and cream and firefly sparkles. It reminds me a lot of one of my first perfume loves, Victoria's Secret Pear Glacé. Now that I have had it awhile the apple is a bit more prominent. Sweet green fruit! Over all this is a really lovely atmo, if you are looking for something sweet and feminine this will fit the bill. If you like DeVos, you will adore this! This might be my favorite unicorn so far. LOVE.
  12. I. LOVE. THIS. I really went out on a limb ordering this one. I don't do chocolate scents and I hardly ever do floral and NEVER jasmine. In a fit of cosmic timing, I had been itching to try some BPALs that I usually wouldn't combined with spending the day in a sunny grove of organge trees in full bloom and becoming intoxicated by the glorious scent! I Immediately knew I had to try this, said EFF IT and threw it in the cart. I'm so glad I did!!! Sniffing the bottle it's all delicious creamy milk chocolate. Wet on the skin it's tootsie roll chocolate (not a bad thing!) with the florals in the background which is such an unusually good combo! As it dries down the chocolate fades to the background and the orange blossom and jasmine take the front seat. Over time it fully dries to a heady jasmine with just a hint of orange blossom made creamy by the barest hint of milky chocolate. Marshmallow doesn't stand out as an individual note but must be lending to the mellow creaminess. It's jasmine with the bite removed and made creamy and soft by the sweets. It's so beautiful! I adore it. I'm also testing this right out of the mailbox cause I just couldn't wait haha so I would imagine this will age to be even more creamy and rich. This was a fantastic exersise in thinking out side of the BPAL box! I'm so glad I took a chance on this! I have newfound confidence to go new directions and try new scents that I didn't previously like or wouldn't think I would like. If you are a foodie who doesn't like florals, or were on the fence about this one, try it while you can! A unique, beautiful scent that you would only find in a BPAL *heart eyes*

    Countess Willie

Chocolate plum musk, red musk, amaretto, candied fruits, and red ginger. This is SEXAYYYY. I snagged this as Bordello is my one true BPAL love, and all the comparisons made me have to have it. It does indeed smell very similar to Bordello, but richer and warmer. A more humid, swarthy Bordello. This has a lot of notes that don't usually work on me, but somehow this really, reallllly does. The only note that Bordello and the Countess share is amaretto, so that must be what is the big winner here. I can somewhat smell the chocolate note if I really think about it but I would not classify this as a chocolate scent. I think it's the chocolate and the ginger that make this so rich. I'm glad I conveniently overlooked the red musk, as that would have probably steered me away. Red musk usually takes over everything on me and makes me smell like a dusty dude. Not at all here! This is sweet, plummy, decadent, sultry, and very womanly. This is what I want to smell like on a hot sweaty summer night drinkin' and dancin'. It's the smell of bold bar flirting after too many drinks. And that sly little face looking back at me from the bottle feels like the Countess giving me a knowing wink and her blessing for sexy shenanigans! I'd never kick Bordello out of the bed for eating crackers, but the Countess is my new main squeeze <3

    Round Dance

I went out on a limb for this one. It sounded just too tempting and evocative to pass up, even with the dreaded lavender. I love the smell *of* lavender, I just don't usually want to smell *like* lavender. On my skin it was just straight up WEIRD. I got none of the listed notes, just high pitched lavender and WEIRDNESS. I have no idea what I was smelling! I had to wash it off and couldn't even bear to test it out again. I'm glad I gave it a try as it would be the one that got away if I didn't, but this was certainly not for me! Skin chemistry, you crazy!

    Blossoming Vulva

I just adore this. It's like 2 perfumes in one. Wet and for about an hour or two, this is a subtly sweet pale (but not white!) floral with a warm background. Really girly and proper smelling! On the long term dry down this is all amber and oak, but tempered by the vanilla and lotus to keep it sweet as it gets richer. This smells really sophisticated to me, like something to wear to a high tea. It's really lovely, feminine, complex, and springy. It's really beautiful, and feels like a special occasion scent, although I've been wearing it to work nonstop! It does remind me a bit of Poor Monkey on steroids. If Poor Monkey is for curling up in clean sheets with a good book, Blossoming Vulva is it's cosmopolitan formal brunch cousin. This was my first (second? Haha) Vulva and it will not be my last. This was a blind bottle win! Love!
