    Athens

This is a mature imp. In the bottle: MEAD... yum! On wet: lovely mead, sipped in a room where myrrh is burning as incense - the scents play verrry well together, and I can't stop inhaling my wrist. On dry down: the wine has evaporated, and the incense it out, and now it is gorgeous honey and non-smoky myrrh. There's enough throw to let me enjoy it, but it doesn't seem to be broadcasting outwardly unduly. It makes me feel almost catlike, the sensory experience here is so pleasurable. I really love this and may decide to invest in a bottle.

    Hades

This is a mature imp. In the bottle - strong floral, too much going on to pick out what exactly. On wet - still strong, indeterminate profusion of floral, with the addition of some resins and spice. This is a very busy scent. It's settling down (if you can call it that) to a strong men's spray cologne, and still to busy for me to figure out what's what. I don't dislike it, though I'm not sure if I can wear it - and certainly needn't apply as much as I did, because it's got a huge throw. If this is Hades, it's after Persephone smacked him crosseyed with her bouquet of flowers as he abducted her. It's Hades the cologne-wearing lounge lizard, positive his pick up lines will work.

    Envy

The imp I have is mature - sniffing in the bottle, it's very 'green' - I can smell mint, herbs, and after checking what's supposed to be there, a hint of lime. After putting it on, the lime goes away, and lavender becomes the primary note - lavender growing, surrounded by growing mint, wafting in the breeze on a sunny day. It is just gorgeous at this stage. On dry-down, the mint has also slipped away and now it is a soft lavender - not astringent at all, but the sort of lavender in a sachet tucked under a pillow to aid with sweet dreams. It quickly disappears, but that's ok with me - it lets me apply a bit more to experience that initial wet stage again. This is less 'Envy' than a soothing antidote for times when envy strikes. Perfect for spring and summer, and I'll keep it on hand to use during the warmer months - it is cooling and soothing and not at all overpowering.

    Trick or Treat

The bottle I've had since 2009 has aged to a very heady and rich buttery caramel - no more candy corn, this has grown up into an adult's dessert.
