It's a good thing I like coconut because this one is pretty much a one trick pony on me. In the imp it is the strongest note by far. But a very green fresh meaty coconut. Once it hits my skin it turns to suntan oil and stays there. Which some say is bad, but let's face it.....suntan oil smells nice! May be a tad cheaper for me to just buy the suntan oil

So I have this policy of not ordering imps of BPAL signature scents (Dorian, Snake Oil, etc.). I like to wait until the lab throws in a frimp with one of my other orders, I like the anticipation. Today Dorian arrived at long last. So happy he did. This is really a lovely scent. I can see why it was created for a man but works so well on a woman. In the imp I get a strong impression of lemon and lavender with something else. I don't think it is the musk. Something else more green, more astringent. Wet on my skin, the lemon really comes into its own and the lavender beats a hasty retreat. The musk seems to come to the fore more as well. As it dries I am finally getting the tea note that everyone is in love with....but it is not a sweet vanilla tea. Dorian is a strong citrusy tea on me. Not sweet at all and very refined.

I recently was frimped this and a bottle was soon to follow. Foody scents usually work well for me but I am always looking for something other than a vanilla based scent and Snap-Dragon-Fly is so deliciously different. Plus who can resist suet In vitro - very plumy and a tad bit boozy, like a strong port wine but richer. Really resisting the urge to drink the imp. Faint buttery something off in the distance. madidus - Booze comes out and smacks me silly then quickly goes away. Now it smells like a very buttery croissant with rich plum preserves. siccus - So this may be a bit out there but if you have ever had a dessert called Spotted Dick (stop laughing!) This smells just like it! If you haven't heard of it.....Imagine the moistest most delectable raisin muffin ever, then pour some custard on top. It has a very rich buttery note in the dry down and the fruits are dry, not so heady. Very bready and purple fruits. Lovely. Can't wait to smell myself while having a nice cup of tea.

I recently got this as a frimp and boy am I glad I did! In the imp I got a very heady wine note. Boozy but not overly so. After a liberal splash (I'm a slatherer) the cocoa note came to the fore. But this is not a sweet cocoa, a bitter almost powdery cocoa. After a bit the cocoa is still faint and I get a very irony wine smell. Very mineral and grown up. Can't wait for my bottle to arrive.

Oh how I wanted this to work but alas, Wanda spanked me It all started so lovely in the imp... smelled of a really good sangria with something herbal lurking in the background. However, the second she hit my skin, she went sour at light speed. Very sour, like urinal cake sour. After a few minutes I got a very faint soapy, floral. Sadly the sour stuck around too.

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy - This is heavenly! In the bottle: Strawberries and vanilla, with a hint of something greener. Wet: Super juicy strawberries, the hint of green things is much stronger. Strawberries in the park. Dry: The juicyness has settled down into a more baked strawberry tart, the vanilla has come out to play too. Off to stalk the "For sale" forum for more!

In the bottle: roses and jasmine with a tiny faint tang of something citrusy Wet: roses gone, jasmine strong and not playing nice on my skin. Quickly turing into something between industrial cleaner and the aforementioned cat pee Dry: this went very sour on me, which is disappointing because I sooooooooo wanted it to work. Ended up smelling like a citrusy urinal cake
