Debauchery is a pretty intense scent, definitely not for the faint of heart. It's dark, deep, and sensual. It's very musky, with the opium giving it a sharp edge. Civet doesn't seem to go bad on me, at least with this blend. I guess that's something to be happy about! ETA: Ack, I don't know how I feel about this now. One minute I like this, the next I hate it, and then the next I'm like, "Well, it's actually not that bad..." ETA2: OKAY. I LIKE THIS. Apparently it likes to play mindgames with me during the drydown, but now that it's dry, I do actually like it!

I smell kind of a sweet wood. Vanilla and pine, perhaps? There's a faint bit of almond in there as well, I think. Maybe amber as well? It's a pretty nice scent, I think. I haven't smelled Glowing Vulva, so I can't make comparisons to that. It's a pretty gender-neutral scent, I think. Not sweet enough to be "feminine", and not woodsy enough to be "masculine".

I was kinda "meh" on this when I first got it. But I just dug it out again, and I definitely like it more! It's less sunscreen-y now. There's a spicy note that's coming out more that I like, and the floral notes are a nice touch.. I don't know if I'm completely won over yet, but I'm definitely going to give this bottle another shot.

This isn't something that I would normally wear... I'm not even sure why I grabbed this in the first place! But it isn't completely unpleasant. I can smell the lemongrass, bergamot, and geranium mostly. Very herbal and citrusy. It's a pretty uplifting scent overall, but not something I see myself really wearing regularly.

Terminal sugar rush. A little goblin's candy bag, upended. Smushed candy corn, rock candy dust, marshmallow gunk, strawberry goo, spun blue sugar, globs of salt water taffy, and lint. This is soooooo sweet. There's mostly strawberry in the bottle. On me, it gets more of the sugar notes, with a bit of the marshmallow and a teeny bit of an aquatic note which I'm assuming is the salt-water taffy. And as it's drying more, I'm getting the smell of the pillowcase. It's really like sticking your head in your Halloween pillowcase and taking a big huff!

#65: Vanilla and fresh orange. Mostly orange at first, with vanilla in the background. The orange fades after a bit and blends with the vanilla. It's not quite creamsicle-smelling, but it's reminiscent of it. #625: This smells like vanilla and juicy apricot. I couldn't quite place the fruit at first, but the nose of a friend helped me sort it out.

This is a ridiculously silly scent. Not that I shouldn't expect that. But it really is a scent that makes me smile. It's full of whimsy. I smell sticky-sweet blackberry, strawberry, and a bit of melon in the bottle. On me, it gets a teeny bit musky, enough to settle the fruits just a bit. But it's a deliciously fruity scent still. Good for when I'm feeling light-hearted.

Mmmmmm. Dark roses and musk at first, then the amber comes out more as it dries. It smells like a lovely incense.

This is kind of a sweet coldness, not a shocking coldness. It's mostly lotus and mint, with a little bit of eucalyptus. It's perfect for a cold, rainy night like tonight. I was a little worried that it wouldn't work on me, but my November lunacies always seem to pull through.

Venus is floral, green, and aquatic. I see people saying rose and lotus, and while I'm awful at picking out notes, I can see those two being in this, which is probably why it works for me. I also get a bit of soap, but not in the bad way. I don't usually like scents like this. Maybe it's my Libra rising pulling through for me.

This is pretty straightforward: it smells like a honeyed Snake Oil. Musky and sweet and slightly sticky, I can feel the spices on my hand, but I can't really smell them. But regular Snake Oil is more musky than spicy on me anyway.

This is pretty well blended. I mostly pick out vetiver and musk at first, but it sweetens a bit at it dries, and gets a bit boozy. It's a dark scent, perfect for hanging out in swamps and frightening weary travelers.

It's a little fruity in the imp, but on me I get a whiff of dragon's blood at first, which is quickly overpowered by the musks. It's deep, a bit sensual, and a teeeeny bit sweet. I kinda like it, even though dragon's blood and I don't really get along.

Dusty leather and wet stone, with some incense and metal in the background. Perfect for a day at a Ren Faire or a LARPing adventure. Or maybe just sitting around a table playing D&D.

Mmmm... this is delicious! It's spicy (mostly cinnamon) and pumpkin-y, with a bit of marshmallow. One of those "I want to eat my arm!" scents for sure. The spice calms down quite a bit as it dries, mostly leaving me with delicious, fluffy pumpkin. OM NOM NOM

This scent smells of an ancient library: leather-bound books, old paper, and candles. It's very nice. It sweetens up a bit on me when it dries, and for some reason, I sometimes get a whiff of strawberries. Maybe the candles are strawberry-scented. With a few scents, I can immediately get a scene in my head of where I would smell this scent. This is one of them. I can totally close my eyes and picture exactly what a kind of a place would smell like this.

This is a very nice aquatic scent! A little vegetation, but mostly the sea. It's kinda like standing near a slightly mucky shore. It strikes me as a little dark, but not in a heavily green, swampy way, more of a "standing on a pier in the dark with a full moon overhead" dark. That's seriously the image I get when I spray this. It's super clear in my head as I smell the scent wafting around my room. ETA: My cat typically will not get near my perfume. She hates it all, and makes offended faces when I offer her things to smell. But she actually sniffed the finger that had some of this on it and seemed to enjoy the scent. Could we have finally found a smell Miss Shizuka approves of!?

Man, this is tasty! It smells like spice cookies to me. Not too sweet, not too spicy, but a fantastic mixture! Very warm, and a good fall scent. Thank you to the Labbies for a fantastic weekend and a great little surprise!

Holy cow! Does it smell the same? I don't use a wand so I suppose I can't be sure, but my coffee straw comes out relatively clean. That is some thick oil! It does (or rather, did) pretty much smell the same, I think... it was definitely some delicious-smelling sludge! I e-mailed the Lab about it and they were nice enough to let me send it back for credit. I would've loved there to just be some random BTBT laying around for them to send back to me (ha!), but I'll take what I can get.

This is kind of a creamy white floral in my decant, and seems to get more floral and a little soapy on me, with a bit of sugar/cream in the background. I wish it was less floral on me.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume
yamiko replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Recommendations
There's a whole topic dedicated to comparing more mainstream perfumes to BPAL. It's right here. The best thing to do would be to search in that thread to see if anyone has made any comparisons yet. If not, you can ask in there and I'm sure someone can suggest something based on the notes. -
This is heavy on the butterscotch and rum in the bottle and when first applied, to the point of being a little overwhelming. But then the cheesecake comes out more, and it settles into a well-balanced, delicious scent. It is a little reminiscent of Beaver Moon 05, but drizzled with a rum butterscotch sauce. Tasty!

Lilith's Tea Party smells like a sweeter Teatime in Roswell, which I also adore. I get (imaginary) cream, (imaginary) tea, and (imaginary) strawberries in the bottle, with a little hint of (imaginary) rosewater. It smells a little more flowery on me, but not in a bad way. Like the imaginary garden is more apparent, but still in the background. It's still nice and sweet and creamy and fruity. A delightful scent!

I'm having a lot of trouble picking out notes on this. It's mostly made up of stuff I'm not super familiar with. I seem to mostly smell the vanilla and lavender, with hints of tart fruits and rooibos. It's a very smooth, rounded, slightly herbal scent. It's not really heavy on the cocoa like a lot of the other 13s are. I'm usually not a big fan of the 13s, but this one is pretty awesome.

I've been meaning to ask this since I got this bottle from the lab, but... does anyone else's Black Temple Burlesque Troupe do this? http://twitpic.com/2hsdnz I wasn't surprised that it was thick. But should it be that goopy?
