That would be amazing! Maybe the different scents could be named after different species of bees - the same way that the Metamorphosis scents are named after butterflies.

If you are interested in something similar to "Titania" with a bit of spice, you might want to try Pele. It has a similar aquatic/light floral feel that Titania does, but with fresh ginger, and less fruit, a bit of some tropical flower.

Ghosts in Love - White sandalwood, tobacco flower, lily of the valley, white carnation, and magnolia blossom with tea rose, labdanum, and oudh. It's a white floral but has sort of a wild, untamed edge because of the white sandalwood and tobacco. Also, Galbanum, Juniper and White Musk tend to be sharp, but the kind of sharp that goes well with floral. I don't have any reccomendations off the top of my head, but you might try looking for those notes. (Maybe Endymion or Oberon or Undertow?) Faeu Boulanger is pretty cool. It does have a bit of violet, but also water, wet leaves, and that smell of cutting into a mushroom. Not sure if it's what you are looking for, but if you want a aquatic/floral that's *weird* but still smells good... Lastly, It's not quite what you described in your notes, but something in my gut keeps bringing it up: Have you tried any of the Absinthe scents? (Absinthe, Pontarlier, Mary Shelley) Absinthe scents have a blend of sweetness and intensity, and I think Pontarlier might be especially up your alley because of the Lilac.

Ginger Skulls - it is primarily a ginger scent, but underneath the ginger is sweet, juicy, ripe pear.

I'd like to try, new recs are great, especially GC's! So... Top 5: The Apothecary Mary Shelley No. 93 Engine Oblivion Men Ringing Bells with Penises And close runners-up: Ameles Potamos, Kumiho, Pele, Baruch's Phoenix, and Day of the Skulls.

If you like The Grave Pig - you might want to check out Strangler Fig - they have the same fig note, but Strangler Fig has *more* of it, and also is a very earthy blend.

Wow, this is sparkly! To me this smells like a blend of wet, slushy snow, fizzy water, *super* fizzy champagne, bergamot, grapefruit, plums, and plenty of sweet *mint*. A very bright, mildly sweet, fruity scent.

In the bottle: Wood (can definitely smell the Ho Wood in the mix!) covered in a layer of soft beeswax. In the background I can smell the fresh, green, wet smell of bamboo. On my skin: When it first hits my skin, the bamboo is even stronger! It makes the scent smell fresh and like it's describing an outdoor place. But this is still mostly a wood and beeswax scent. Maybe a wooden ramada outside with candles and incense burning? After a while the frankincense and myrrh are more apparent the myrrh is just rich and lovely (but I'm biased because myrrh is one of my favorite scents). The frankincense seems a bit spicy to me... As the hours pass, it continues to have a nice balance of wood, resins, and beeswax - leaning a bit towards the beeswax. Finally everything starts to slowly fade out - until the very last thing left is the Ho Wood. This reminds me a lot of Day of Skulls, with the main difference being bamboo instead of cactus blossoms. <3

In the decant - and on my skin, this starts out as green, sharp, a little sappy - like breaking the stem on some herb that I can't quite place. Definitely getting a bit of the kelp, too. After a few minutes, this is still definitely green, but the sharp is almost gone, and I'm starting to get this lovely soft swirl of musk. There's also something that smells like citrus leaves. A while later (maybe an hour or two) The musks are stronger now, there's definitely green musk in here! There's also a slight salty edge. This is actually reminding me a bit of Mary Shelley as well! So maybe there's a bit of fennel/anise? Or maybe it's just the slightly cologne-y, polished green-ness... A few more hours after that - this has mostly settled down to a green, salty, mossy musk. Very soft and understated.

Speaking of Absinthe, Mary Shelley is absinthe + greens, and a hint of resin and ozone. To me it smells like fennel/anise with a bunch of fresh green leaves and a litle resin.

I <3 swampy scents, too. Nice to find someone else who likes them. All the really swampy ones I could think of have already been suggested. Ameles Potamos doesn't smell quite swampy, but it does smell like a puddle of rainwater with a bunch of wood and leaves in it that are turning it tea-colored.

I know that you've alredy gotten a whole lot of good reccomendations, but just adding one thing. Lady MacBeth is a very sweet, juicy, red/purple fruit scent. To me it's mostly berries and currants with a bit of red wine.

Sed Non Satiata is the sexiest scent on me. It's rich dark musk with myrrh, honey, and a little bit of an alcoholic "edge". Dark musk does really good things on my skin and the other notes just make it so sensual. Oblivion is also rather sexy to/on me. But it's also a reasonable "daytime" scent - and it's sexy in a "butch" way. It has the exact same dark musk as Sed Non Satiata but with woodiness and smooth saffron.

Just putting up the Snow-containing Black Phoenix Trading Post scents from this year (2013). Haven't tried any of them yet. BLACK SNOWBALLS For a very gothy Yule. Black licorice slurry with blackcurrant, black fig, and mulberries. BLUE SNOWBALLS ... because the holidays can be really, really frustrating. Blueberry slush with a hint of lime and blackberry juice. DISCO SNOWBALLS Brian and I made this one for Ted to honor his undying, incessant, relentless love of Abba: silvery snow reflecting myriad glimmers of orange blossom, black currant, pink grapefruit, white mint, sweet plum, and Italian bergamot. And they also have these scents in bath oil form. PINK SNOWBALLS A lighthearted winter scent: chilly vanilla rose snowballs! Dainty, soft, and certainly unfit for flinging! ICE PRINCESS Iced blackberries, blackcurrant honey, frozen white peach, and sweet vanilla cream. WINTER MAIDEN Ice-rimed innocence. The blush of youth, frozen for eternity. Snow-laden woods, iced blackberry and bergamot, white rose, and crystallized amber.

Wet: The sandalwood and cedar combine to create a strong sense of incensy woods. Even though there is no smoke, the woods have a sense of warmth/heat/fire to them. I almost expect to see heat shimmers coming off my hand. In-keeping with the phoenix theme! Behind the sharp, dry woods, there is a mix of figs,dates,and oranges. Drying down: The woods calm down as the oil dries. After a while (maybe an hour or so), the woods and the fruits reach a balance. The fig is there and so is a ripe, sweet-smelling orange. The date is there too, but it's *subtle*. The fruits bring a richness to balance the dryness of the woods. Overall this is on the dry woody side (but with a definite fig, date, orange component). It reminds me of the Middle East/Desert, especially of a desert orchard surrounded by wilderness, and has a warm/hot feel to it. Sensual.

The wax note was strong on me in other scents but I haven't tried this one specifically... Does it have a suede scent at all? Not that I can smell. It's supposed to just smell like candles.

Green, musky, and woody. This is a *very* dry scent - the musk and the woods are both very clean smelling. Almost austere. And laid over that is greenery - like the sap from fresh leaves. Smooth and elegant (in a pared-back, monastical way)

This may be my own weird nose or body chemistry, but I get a definite hazelnut scent from Lights of Men's Lives as it's drying down. The first 4-5 hours of it seem to be an equal blend of hazelnut and wax. Now, I don't hear a lot of other people describing it that way - so your mileage may vary.

Wet on skin: Spicy fresh green Ginger! Like a ginger plant with some of the leaves attached. I'm pretty sure there is galbanum in here. This is seriously spicy/strong - I can feel it in the back of my throat. Once it's dried down, it is a lot less overwhelming. I can smell some other spices in the background, but too faint to be identified. There's also some... white musk? red musk? a mix of both? Now that it's dried down a little more, I can smell the musk better,I'm sure there's at least *some* red musk. There's also some sandalwood in the background. Mostly, though, this is some intense Ginger. With a bit of a musky background.

If you are looking for a GC similar to Luperci - Omen has a lot of the same notes and has the same "vibe". It's a much-simplified version of Luperci, though. I've found that layering Omen with Lights of Men's Lives or No. 93 Engine gets me much closer - if I get the mix right it smells almost the same.

Manhattan has orchid in it and has a lot of citrus - kind of crisp - I can see it as a "get things done" scent. If you are looking for ginger - Kumiho is the most ginger-y GC I know, it is just ginger and green tea. Mag Mell is a warmer ginger scent, it has grass, lemon verbena, and amber. Reminds me of being outside on a warm spring day. Pele is an aquatic + ginger, smells tropical. If you are interested in Limited editions, Entangled is an intense, sparkly, honeyed ginger. Also think about what smells get *you* moving, they might not be the same as standard aromatherapy. Best wishes on NaNoWriMo!

Green! Sweet green anise/fennel and wormwood. But behind that, something that reminds me of cold spring water or rainstorms. And there's also laudanum and a small amount of sandalwood and amber. They "warm up" and soften the scent a little. On the dry-down it gets a little peppery, but doesn't change all that much. This reminds me of some old-fashioned colognes I've smelled. (But I don't mean it's a scent only a man could wear.) It's very heady. *swoon* Here's to Mary Shelley!

First off, Rose, Magnolia, Carnation and Lily of the Valley are swirling around eachother. The main note at the start is distinctly floral. Underneath that is the White Sandalwood, smelling woody - but in a very clean, dry way. As the perfume dries down, the sandalwood becomes a little more obvious. Besides the sandalwood shining through a bit more as it dries down, I can also smell the tobacco blossom. It is a green, herbal scent (I think the blossom itself gets lost in the other flowers). If you have wild tobacco where you live - this smells very like rubbing a fresh, green, wild tobacco leaf. However, it is by no means a dominant note. Just giving a bit of green background to the flowers. There's also something kind of bubbly/effervescent I keep catching. A bit like the effervescence in champagne. It's also kind of resiny. It's a very light sparkly resin - like the lightness of frankincense taken up to 11. I don't know what this is, but it might be the labdanum or the oudh. Overall, this isn't much of a morpher, just a swirl of sweet, fresh flowers made a bit clean and wild by the sandalwood, green wild tobacco, and resin in the background. The rose reminds me of the rose in Rose Red - if that is helpful to anyone. (This is the 2013 version.)

In the bottle, first sniff on skin: Oooohhhh! Beeswax! Smooth beeswax with the sandalwood and frankincense weaving through it. And cactus blossoms fading in and out! This is a incense and candles type blend but isn't overly smoky. And it's incense designed to evoke home, if home is a place with cactus blooms (which it is for me ). The tobacco and such are in the background subtly, but they are not the main notes. They just give the scent some complexity. After a while the beeswax and sandalwood become more pronounced. And then there is a brief stage where the cactus blossoms and rose and honey (from the beeswax) rise up and make this a warm, incensy *floral*. Finally, this dries down to a white sandalwood scent, with beeswax a close second, and the other scents muted and subtle in the background. This is kind of in the same vein as No. 93 Engine with flowers instead of herbs. Waxy and incense-y and golden. (Edit: this is the 2013 version)

In the imp: Just a word of WARNING do not sniff the bottle/imp! It is so concentrated I think my vision blanked out for a second just from smelling it. It smells more like a a laboratory-grade chemical than a scent oil. On my skin it is smelling very nice - foresty green and aquatic, the mint and juniper make it fresh and sparkly and there's a floral/juicy sweetness to it from the lotus. It almost smells a little bit like some red wine is in there. The whole impression is very deep and dark, like a deep lake in an old forest somewhere with sweet flowers growing around it. Not particularly "menacing" though. *shrugs* As it dries down the juniper bark gets more prominent, so it is more and more a forest scent and less lake and flowers.
