Sybaris might be a close match. Mata Hari is an awesome blend but the coffee is super prominent. #62 is my first of their perfumes other than the salves/lip bombs. Clive cigarette is to die for. Mmmmn

From the description I was expecting something quite herbal, but all I get is florals and pine >.<
-
Very very sweet, but not cloying. On my skin it's snake oil +floral grape/cherry. It's quite nice.

One jasmine blend that doesn't overwhelm! Lovely plummy yumminess! Sophisticated, sensual, sexy

Holy moly!! :faints: I need a bottle of this. It's beautiful! It has that "sea breeze" scent that you would associate with things labeled as such. Sweet, a slight salty undertone. Almost cucumber/melon. Clean, but also a hint of musk. This is addictive! So going in my next order.

This smells nearly identical to Paris. The gardenia and violet make a dusty bubblegum combo. So sweet! Not for me.

She Crushes for Dead Men Deadly Wine
Mechanical Death replied to The Poison Queen's topic in Limited Editions
I love this blend. On first application it's very much wine. Straight up oak aged wine. As it dries though it becomes cooler, slightly spicy, less sweet. I swear there's moss and stone in the blend, like I'm sitting in a graveyard sipping wine. It's so very cool on my skin. Ozone-y and woody, but there is also the rich spice of the incense and tartness of the pomegranate. Very different form what I expected out of the notes, but absolutely stunning. It layers marvelously with the lavender based blends from this release. -
Witch dance is very autumnal. It's incensy, smoky, sweet fall air/fallen leaves smell, and sweet from the red musk. It's gorgeous! Another one is Samhain. It smells like fall. Cool spicy leafy fall air.

This is a very bright scent. I get lemon-lime from it. I don't smell the aloe outright but it's there adding a crisp slightly herbal element. The musk blends through adding some softness. I can't decide if I would wear it enough to buy a bottle, but I do keep smelling my hand. Mmm

The Obsidian Widow

Woah, jasmine! D: I'm glad I opted to imp it first. Wet it smells of a woody dry wine, with some anise lingering. On the skin it turns all jasmine and stays jasmine T-T -
It smells almost exactly like snake oil o.o The vanilla on me threatens to go kinda plasticky, but it goes away. The oil is red, which I find odd for the listed notes, and I swear I smell red musk, but no amber, and the vanilla isn't very strong either except for the almost plasticky dry down. It's very smooth and light on my skin. It's warm and clings. This is very accurate to my experience as well. I was expecting something almost decadently sexy. Rich vanilla and honey with glowing amber, but it's all very dull in comparison to what I expected.

I. Need. This. Holy crap this stuff is amazing. Perfumers alcohol makes me sneeze though. D: I need a BPAL that matches. HALP!!! Notes: Dark vanilla bean, orchid, tonka, sandalwood, white tea, sparkling citrus. It's almost like a more vanilla-y caramel-y cashmere mist. It's not foodie, but it's somewhat gourmand. The orchid is there, but it's not screaming white florals, it just adds a softness and creaminess to the blend overtop the sandalwood. A lot of Beth's sandalwood blends are SUPER STRONG on me. They smell like woody creamy lemony incense, but it's not soft. I need something that isn't heavily sandalwood based, but has that soft wood base note. Aaaand go!!

I recently became a cyborg myself. No joke. I have various battery packs powering my brain and a mechanized shunt. Right now there are wires hanging out of my body until they burry the wires and put in the other deep brain electrodes. My life is crazy, but that's not what it's about. It's about this INCREDIBLE SMELL. I passed this up many times even though it sounded intriguing. Boozy scents aren't for me, and Beth is so incredibly spot on with scent that the metal scared me off. I took the chance on it because, well... Re:above In the bottle it's an incredibly light scent. Nearly lemony. Not quite effervescent, but there's something that isn't spur citrus, but still has a lemon type scent. Many times in Beth's booze scents I get BOOOZE. But not here. Don't be afraid of the bay rum. As it dries it almost takes on a cologne smell, but not in a bad way, or as strongly as scents like Villian. The Rum begins to show its self, but I still don't get booze from it. More of a smooth brown sugar type scent that assosciate with a nice dark rum. No leather is outwardly present but its there tempering and blending. When completely dry it sweetens a bit more on my skin and smells less like cologne, but it still lingers a bit in the background making a really delicious contrast to the sweeter rum. Oddly enough, I do get a 'metal' feel. I don't know what to place the scent as, but it conveys a shiny metal feeling. The leather never shows up to the party, but one of the characters is wearing a leather jacket: a hint of it as a nice blender with an undertone of worn tanned leather, but it's not obvious in your face leather. It reminds me a but of a darker Dorian. Overall this scent is oddly feminine while being very edgy despite the lightness of its dry character. However it could definitely be worn by a man due to the leather undertone and slight cologne feel. It's very different from what I tend to go for, but damn am I glad I tried it. 5/5 this is easily going to become an addictive go to.

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume
Mechanical Death replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Recommendations
So my all time favorite perfume oil is called Devil Sex. It has been renamed now to vamp venom and was sold on vampfangs.com for a while. I can find it at all now, nor any base note information. it's just dissipated. It's stuff is unbelievably intoxicating. I do know it has mandarin, orange blossom, cinnamon and plum. There's more to it though. Possibly some deep white florals and other spices, but its not "spicy". Is anyone else here familiar with it and knows of a good replacement? Kat Von D's perfume sinner is similar, ill take copies of that too I have tried belle epoche, which is too one noted on my skin and is almost jammy sweet on me. Help! -
My first thought upon applying this was "meh". However as it dried it transformed into a gorgeous deep rose scent with a lot of richness. It's hard to describe other than rose, but it's dark and haunting. It reminds me a bit of 13 hours, but less stone, more grittiness and deep rose.

This smells beautiful in the imp. Bright citrus and spring blossoms. It gets even brighter on the skin. It's almost juicy smelling. However it turns quickly into lime rose hand soap. some roses work for me and some, well, soap.
-
Normally musks love me. This however fails short. The dragons blood overpowers and leaves this weird mixture of fruitcake and black musk that sticks to the skin.
-
This smells like licorice. bleh
-
overpowering pimento. Blargh. I get no caramel or clove. Sad panda.

Super rich decadent creamy vanilla. Omg. A slight rummy booziness, closer to light rum than dark. The booziness backs off on the drydown and leaves a dark yummy vanilla. *drool* This is complex enough a d strong enough to wear on its own. It's the perfect vanilla. Edit: surprise discovery. Dirty layered with this is incredible. Earthy and rich vanilla, with a touch of greenness, like the nectar from a flower with a spun vanilla sugar scent. Omg

Mandarin has always been a favorite note of mine. I love the crispness, the slight sour edge and the bright scent. This is no exception. A perfect rendition of the juiciest ripest sweetest mandarin, ever so tart on the drydown, with a slight floral edge from the rind. Lovely!
