Beth, Would you kindly list a shell of the Summer Soltice update in a separate thread. It would be super helpful for planning orders and figuring BPAL into our budgets. I'm sure I'm not alone here. Please.....oh Please.............I would, for one, greatly appreciate it. Oh, yes please. We're having to juggle funds for a short while, and this would be most helpful. I just want to add, I'm not trying to be ungrateful here. I appreciate the shell of the current update. Even if you can't let us peek at the Soltice update, perhaps even a number would help. I don't know how I'm going to be able to work on Tuesday.....I'll be so exciting about placing an order! Do I have a slight problem??

Chocolate and Cocoa, in every combination possible
lorajc replied to mand's topic in Recommendations
I think Vice is chocolate/cherry??? Can't remember exactly and Bliss is more of a chocolate caramel. -
I got this scent because it was highly recommended to me on a thread by several people. When I first put it on, it was a little bold with the jasmine and red currant being predominant, after about an hour, the dry down was mild red currant and orris. I love orris. This started out bold but became very mellow on me. I wore it on a hot humid day and it was perfect for the weather.

I ordered this oil cuz I luv cinnamon scents and can't seem to get enough of them. Even though I'm a hyper person (with adult ADD - that's what the professionals have said at least) and I read Twistygirl's post a little nervously, I still ordered. I'm wearing it on a Monday, as I tend to be a little less hyper on Monday's, so we'll see how that goes. I have only had his on for a couple hours now, but I'm loving it. I'm not good at picking up on scents when I don't know what's in it, as I am still in the process of learning about some of Beth's unique oils. I do smell the lavendar and cinnamon in this and it is lovely. The cinnamon is more prominent on me now with a slight undercurrent of something unfamiliar to my nose.......perhaps it's the sage that shrieking violet referred to and the other person thinks smells like chicken. Whatever it is, I'm loving it and will definitely wear this a lot, as long as I don't go super hyper with it.

What's the web site??

I don't have my imp of Viola to compare with the 5 ml, but I distinctly remember the imp having a really different top note. One unfamiliar to my nose. To describe it, it smelled a little nutty or buttery. The 5 ml bottle I got smells more floral/ambery which is what the description sounds like. If it was a mix up, I'm not upset.....as I like the 5 ml Viola also, but sure would like to know what the imp was so I could order it. If I could only explain it better, maybe someone could help me figure it out. It may have smelled slightly like Lear which has cedarwood, bay and sage, but it was slightly floraly and slightly resny in the background. Anyone have ideas??

I just posted a message somewhere about this happening with Viola. I had an imp marked Viola, tried it and loved it. I ordered a 5 ml bottle and when I got it, it smelled hardly at all like the imp I tried. The imp I tried had a different top note, at least. It's driving me crazy also. I don't know if cuz they're hand blended, each batch could vary. I doubt it would be that much though.

I don't have experience with this other than shopping and I remember cart manager. Never had any problems with it.

I am a cinnamon lovin' girl. This was the only scent with cinnamon I didn't own from Beth (I think)....so I ordered it without smelling it. At first, I thought it was too strong and heavy on the cinnamon, but this doesn't get going until the drydown. The almond starts to come out, but yet the cinnamon stays right in sync with it. I barely detected the neroli. I loved this. It's not for you, however, if you don't like cinnamon.

I used to appall rose scents, but I have found several of Beth's that I'm lovig. I fell in love with Harlot, so I wanted to try this. I ordered a 5 ml bottle and put it on the other day and I was like..........whoa.........the rose was knockin' me over. I was thinking swap. Then, as it dried down, the spices came out and the rose softened up and it wafted up from my body (which scents usually don't do on me). It became a soft, somewhat powdery/dusky, spicy rose scent. Went very well with my body chemistry and I'm really glad I ordered it and gave it a chance. You must let this one get to the drydown!!

This was another one I didn't think I'd like after initially applying. My nose took some adjusting. The jasmine was strong at first, but the drydown on this was like liquid moon drops of loveliness. This dried down to a sweet, subtle jasmine, spicy scent that I couldn't get enough of. I loved this oil.

When I first put this on, I didn't think I was going to like it. It was a little bitter and slightly cinnamony. As it dried down, the clove was more apparent, it became slightly powdery and dusky on me with a hint of some sort of floral in the background. Scents usually don't heat up on me and waft, but this one did. My office smelled softly delicious. I had a couple people comment that something smelled good. My initial thought was yuck, but the dry down made me love it.

Oils to relax, calm, soothe, restore your sanity...
lorajc replied to Shollin's topic in Recommendations
Okay.........since I started the thread about being so emotional in randomness............what oils does everyone recommend for this time in my life. I'm sensitive, emotional, need to be strong, confident, and keep my dignity through all of this. With Venus retrograde (I emailed Nella - as I am a Libra), Beth recommends for the retrograde period that I wear Venus and Libra with extra rose oil or peppermint oil if possible. I wore Lucy's Kiss today (rose scent) and it seems to be helping somewhat. I wore it mainly cuz I read somewhere once that rose oil was supposed to help with self love (which I defnitely need right now). I am open to all suggestions. Of note is that I have all of the Celestials and most of the Tarot blends on order (yes I am an addict). I have SEVERAL of the other regular scents so suggest away!!!! -
Oh, I thought this was the update......my heart almost stopped. More scents coming? Yay!!! I'm glad things are starting to unfold for you. I am so looking forward to the update. Too bad you can't have a sneak preview unveiling of a small amount of people that can pay by check only until you get CC-Now out of the picture!!! I have been obssessively checking the site since May 1st. Patience is a virtue!! I know the oils are well worth the wait. Thank goodness I just got my other order to play with. The storefront looks very nice. I can really picture BPAL being in there. I'm sure it will rock just like you do Beth!!!

But what is it you guys???????????? please enlighten me

I have been having a particularly frustrating week (Venus is starting to go retrograde and I'm a Libra)........anyway, yesterday I wore Crucible of Courage with a few drops of Water of Notre Dame. I think the Water of Notre Dame is very relaxing. I am wearing it on its own today. Another soothing one is Venus and for comfort, I'd go with Dana Oshee. Water of Notre Dame is the closest I can ever get to relaxing.....being the high strung person that I am. I hope things get better for you. Work sucks! -
When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

I also love Morella, but I don't think there is anything else quite like it. I rec'd it as a freebie from Beth and would have never ordered it cuz I don't like iris on it's own and I didn't know what sage smelled like. I LOVE Morella. It is, however, sorry to say ............very unique. You might try some of the other unique florals with fruity or incensy undertones. Although they are not really like Morella, you may like the uniqueness of them. A few that come to mind are Psyche, Seraphim, Hymn, Juliet, Endymoin and Queen of Hearts....oh and I forgot, Morella has orris in it which I really think stands out when wearing (at least on me), so you may want to try Veil which I would say is similar in that it also has orris in it. Let me know what you decide. I own and love all of the ones listed above and they are perfect for the warmer weather. Psyche is especially unique with the lavender, frankincense combo. -
According to the Celestials listed ...Aires is black pepper, frankincense and ginger. MMMMMM that sounds good to me. You say you like spicy, so I bet you'd like this one.

You can go to www.astro.com and you'll need your time of birth also. You can print out a chart that tells how the planets were aligned at your time of birth. My reading was quite accurate..........a bit scary!!!
