I really really strongly dislike patchouli. Yet, Iambe works on me. It 's not my fave scent, but it works. Sudanese amber, patchouli, rose, gardenia, gladiola and white tea.

My favorite rose. Pure and sweet and wonderful. It feels pretty and youthful. I need a big bottle!

Most of the sweet foody scents I've tried from the lab have not turned out on me the way I've hoped. Cockaigne is different. Wet, it's the same sort of hyper-butter-cake smell that Misk U and Eat Me have. Ten minutes later, it smells like my baking spice drawer. (I'm a spice snob, and I have a curry drawer, an herb drawer, and a baking drawer. It's my other obsession). This smells like cassia, nutmeg, ground ginger, cardomom and vanilla extract. It's almost a chai-like scent. It is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

This goes on smelling like toothpaste, but within a few minutes it smells just like a minty Antique Lace. It's a perfect, cool, vanilla-mint. Perfect.

New formulation. This doesn't smell at all like I expected. I smelled chocolate and spices and orange for about 5 seconds but now I smell like cedar chips. This has never happened before with any of these notes...crap. Maybe it's the Roiboos? The sandalwood? Maybe this will work on the boy. Or aged. Or swapped for something else.

In imp - cloying sweet buttered spices. Wet - Pumpkin pie! First part of dry - OMG. yum. love. ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, orange. perfection. An hour later - straight amber. Smells just like calvin klein Obsession. Not bad, just so boring compared to how it started. I may try it in my hair or in a spray to see if I can capture that first dry part for longer, because that was AMAZING.

Has no Hanna is a wonderful tuberose/gardenia sort of scent.

From the bottle and on my skin, it's pear and strong coconut. The massoia smells like super-crazy-coconut. As it dries, I get mostly jasmine and massoia, with a little pear. I want to love it, but there is something about this I don't like, I just can't put my finger on it. I wasn't expecting so much coconut smell, for sure. I'll try it again a few more times, and then probably keep it regardless. Edit: Rereading this, I have no idea what I didn't like when I first tried it. Maybe because it wasn't what I expected? Now I love this scent and get compliments whenever I wear it. It's sophisticated and cool.

In Imp: Baileys & Kahlua Wet: Hot Buttered Popcorn and Playdoh. It's the same playdoh I get in snow white, so they must share a note. Dry: Hazelnut coffee. If I inhale too close I can smell the 'doh still, but only if I sniff for it. I don't usually love heavy foodies, and this is a SWEET coffee, but I like it. I think it would be a good room scent, too.

I find Watre of Notre Dame helps. -
I get dragon's blood resin, tamarind, vanilla, patchouli, and cedar from this blend. Patchouli isn't really my thing, but the drydown on this is such a sweet wonderful tamarind vanilla that I'll wear it at home and enjoy it.

This smelled like cleaning product for the first 30 seconds or so, but moments later it is WONDERFUL and stays wonderful. Sweet and feminine and fresh. I smell rose the most, and then the lemon and apple in equal parts and they are very smoothly meshed. I am finding that I adore Bpal's rose scents, and they work well with my skin.

I love the smell of this, but it is far too masculine for me. I get mostly bamboo and sandalwood, and even though it's not listed, I smell frankincense. I wish I could smell the lavender and chamomile more. It smells good on the husband, so it's his now.

I received this as a frimp. Except for my recent positive experience with a frimp of dragon's eye, I assumed dragon's blood was a funky head-shop smell. And musk in traditional perfume is quite smelly bad on me. So I put this on with a little trepidation. Wet: Estee Lauder Youth Dew? Not at all unpleasant, but very unexpected. This reminds me of 70s glamour. My mom picking me up while wearing her camel coat with the fur collar, and me burying my face in the fur, where she had sprayed her perfume. Dry: This still has a glamourous perfume smell, but also something sweet and earthy...like roasted marshmellows. I'm enjoying this tremendously. I don't know that this is really me, but I could see myself wearing this on an occasion that required a little black dress. What a fun find!

Jasmine! Rosemary! Lavender! ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... This is sweet and good and the lavender keeps the jasmine from being too jasmine-y. Even my poor insomniac husband got a good nights sleep after I wrestled some onto his temples! Wonderful stuff.
