Reading all the rave reviews for this one,i thought i'd love it. Unfortunately, when i put it on i was reminded of those hideous 'sea breeze' scented room deodorizers : ( Which is really too bad, because i wanted to smell like a pirate... ADDED 7/14/06: OK. i am re-reviewing this. When i first tried Jolly Roger,2 years ago i think it was,it did NOT work for me AT ALL. But,i've been wanting to try it again anyhow, cos i've been going through a more-masculine/androgynous scent phase lately. i got a free imp of it in my order that arrived today : ) It is COMPLETELY different from what i remember of it before. It actually smells like the sea this time around. The sea and Bay Rum. i don't smell any leather, but, that's ok,cos leather notes tend to disagree with my weird chemistry. Maybe it's different this time around, cos this is the first time i've not lived near the sea,and i kind of miss it. i like this alot now;i revoke my bad review of it from way-back-when

This one is best described as being 'sweet and sad'. If the bride at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion were real, her bouquet would smell like Eternal. The stephanotis really stands out,as does the gardenia. A lovely scent for when i'm feeling 'haunted'.

i just got this in a swap; "Love Me!" implored the tag attatched to the vial...and i do! This is a *fabulous* scent, which has changed from a cinnamon-Red Hots smell to a rich, spicy, smoky scent. i need a BIG bottle of this one...

i hated this at first...when i first put it on,i was reminded of my least favorite smell in the world...the smell of the soap/detergent aisle at the grocery store. i decided to keep it on to see if it would mellow out,and it did...to a nice, clean, herbal smell, which,i have discovered,is absolutely lovely when mixed with Snake Oil.

Cathedral is the bottled smell of Midnight Mass at a gorgeous old church...and though 'candle wax' isn't listed as one of the compinents,i definitely smell it in there...or maybe it's just my decrepit imagination...

i looooove this! It's the scent of childhood tea parties,in a bottle. The bergamot note is quite complimentary to the rose and carnation. i don't usually like 'food-y' scents, but this is great. i'll definitely be getting a big bottle of this.

If you like violet and vanilla, the by all means try Le Serpent...it's one of my favorite scents EVAH.

Honey and orange blossom are two of my favorite smells, and they've been paired excellently in this particular scent. Jezebel is sweet but sophisticated, and one application lasts all day. Which,in my experience,is pretty rare for anything with ornage blossom as one of the components. A yummy smell indeed.

'Hot',heavy, and incence-like,Black Lotus is true to its description. It smells exactly like this hippie store i used to buy blacklight posters and Nag Champa at when i was in highschool. Which is a good thing, because i always used to think,'If someone could put this smell in a bottle,i'd wear it."

This one reminded me of my trip to Hawaii-a lovely, deep orchid smell after a fierce storm. It's sweet but not cloyingly so. i had to reapply it several times during the day,though-it doesn't seem to have much staying power.

If a scent could be a season,Three Witches would be fall. What i mean is that it smells like a cool, windy autumn day on which one has spent the day indoors cooking spicy treats-chai tea and pumpkin pie come to mind, even though there's no tea or pumpkin listed in the description. The only problem that i had was that this scent *burned* when i applied it-too bad because the smell is oh-so-yummy.

Mmmm, leather and musk. The smell of a well-worn and much-loved leather jacket. The scent is rather masculine (in my opinion) but i've worn it a few times anyhow. There's just something comforting about the bottled essence of leather jacket : P

This *does* go on all medicinal-like,but after a little while the sweetness mellows out and you're left with the loverly smell of red wine and cloves. Still, a little bit overly sweet for me,but i got compliments when i wore it.

This smells SO good. With its wet-grasses smell and gentle florals,it reminds me of a night-walk through my favorite old cemetery. The herbal frangrances keep it from being *too* sweet, and the smell lasts all day (or night) long. i'll definitely be ordering a bigger-than-just-a-sample-size of this one : )

This smells *exactly* like absinthe. A deep, bitter, wormwood smell with herbal undertones and a hint of lemon. Sadly,i was allergic to something in the oil (i got a nasty rash on my neck where i applied it),so i passed it on to a friend who likes the smell of absinthe as much as i do,but doesn't have bizarre allergic reactions to so many things (like i do).

i just got my sample of Le Serpent Qui Danse a few days ago,and i'm already addicted. Gardenia/vanilla yumminess that lasts all day long but isn't overpowering,as i have found every other gardenia perfume to be.
