    Hecate

I LOVE the scent of almonds and it's awesome in this blend. It's almost cherry-almond (awesome but almost too strong) but it doesn't last long. The whole thing is kept from being a cloying scent by the musk and it's got an almost earthy base note to it. This means that I can huff myself and not go floating off into the ether on the sweet-stuff. This scent lays fairly close to my skin once the top layer of almond has worn off and--alas, alas--doesn't last long on me. Well, it does, but it's just the close-laying myrrh that hangs around longest. Still, an absolutely lovely scent. I'm considering a bottle.

    Swank

I smell like gin and candy! The pomegranate is sweet and juicy-crisp but without being cloying AND it keeps the gin from getting too 'dirty' or boozy.. I love it. It doesn't morph much on me (it's a pretty simple scent so I didn't expect it to) and it's got a decent throw. Best of all? For a light scent my skin doesn't just eat through this scent. It actually lasts a good handful of hours (for a light scent on me, that is). I feel very swanky.

    Dance of Death

Musky, murky and sweet with a bitter, dry note to it. It stays pretty much the same on me from start to finish. But, since it is a lighter scent, my skin eats it in less than two hours. For all the patchouli and myrrh this doesn't turn into 'incense' on me. Instead it remains a bit of flowers-and-earth which is rather lovely. Yay for the Labbies and their impeccable choices!

    Serpent's Kiss

Ooooohhh, I love this scent. It came as a frimp from the lab (I <3 the Labbies). Mostly this is a sweet, spicy scent. Normally vetiver gives me a nice, earthy base but here it's very muted (and I tend to amp the vetiver). That said--it is a very SHARP spice for a good, long while. Aside from cinnamon there has got to be pepper in this as it makes my nose twtich if I sniff it too closely. It's got a lovely throw and lasts quite a long while--four hours on and still going strong. So warm and spicy and sweet--it's rather like a sweeter form of my beloved Bloodlust.

    Midnight Kiss

In the bottle: Drunk cocoa! Wet: Ohhhh--chocolate and cherry with a bit of liqueur Dry: I love this scent! Love! The 'eternal desire' and 'unquenchable passion' really fit the way this smells on me. It's sweet, yet dark--it satisfies AND leaves this empty-yearning feeling when sniffing it. I thought the cocoa, patchouli, and amber would make it a candy-tween-y scent but the wine and nicotina and musk really grows it up. Limited Edition? I might need another bottle. And to try its companion scent.

    Lunar Eclipse

In the bottle: Ever sniff an ashtray? Wet: Ashtray! With vetiver! Drying: Ooh, that's better! The tobacco is backing off, the vetiver is calming in, and the musk and spices are coming up! Still, dark and bitter. After ten minutes the sharpish-bitter scent fades and it really does become something very lovely as the fruits come out to brighten it up and calm the almost medicinal note of the moss and leaf and tea. It becomes something warm and red but with a 'power' to it. Like the moon, gone into eclipse. Do I love this scent? After half an hour--no. Not yet anyhow. I do tend to love the dark and herb scents, though, so I'll ETA when I have more information.

    Hanami

My first bpal in a while (curse you, finances!) so I'm reviewing as I go because I smell GREAT. In the bottle: Perfume. It smells like a classy floral perfume--alcohol and all. Wet: ...dryer sheets? Really NICE dryer sheets. Also, wow, throw! Drying: ...soap? But nice soap! After ten minutes the 'soap' goes away. Or quiets down and it IS a peaceful scent. It lays close to the skin and... I wouldn't call it 'bright' scent--but its' got a little 'glow'. It's not overpoweringly floral on me. The plum blossom keeps it from being too sweet and the wisteria balances the fragrant plum blossom (which can be a little wild at times). It's a scent of 'spring coming through winter'. It's tranquil but happy. It's like getting to the best trees first and being able to enjoy them before the company parties turn up to get sloshed under the falling petals. So far it is lovely! I'll come back and update later when I have more info. It DOES smell different depending on where you're wearing it. It smells different on my wrist than it does on my fingers--more 'soap' at the wrist and then darker. The fingers smell lighter.

    Poisson d'Avril

Daffodils, primrose, tuilips...oh, I love those smells. Sadly, I get instant, headache inducing soap out of Poisson d'Avril. And a bit of old-lady-at-church-who-stores-her-coat-in-floral-mothballs, too.

    All Night Long

At first this smells overpoweringly of nutmeg or cloves and cardamon. As it dries it STILL smells powerfully of some very dark spice but a hint of cinnamon comes out, making it a bit sweeter. I rather like it for it's darkness and the faint spicy tingle of something else but my sister and my children hate it. Mr. Circe seems fairly 'eh' about it. Will have to try it later tonight for it's intended purposes.

    Chuparosa

There's roses in this. How do I know? Because any rose blend turns into all-roses-all-the-time on my skin. In the imp it smells like spicy florals--like cinnamon and honeysuckle. On me--just roses.

    Morocco

I got this as a frimp from Blackheartedangel and OMG, I fell in love with this scent. Warm, sweet, creamy-spices and a dessert wind. It's beautiful beyond words. I'm going to have to get a bottle. It's also got a decent throw and staying power, too.
  12. Ciircee

    Skuld

I get a very sweet, golden amber-honey scent out of this, with a wash of spicy-musky florals. It's very lovely--light and innocent in a lot of ways, with the hint of something more grown up and darker. The scent of 'being' indeed!

    Midnight

I smell like a funeral parlor, minus the coffee. The florals are very strong and each scent stands out rather than blending in on me. There's something herbal and a little sharp, but not unpleasant. On the whole, this is not a bad scent...just way too floral for me and too funeral-flower for my husband to be able to stand yet.

    Typhon

In a surprise move by my body, every scent except the patchouli was eaten within five minutes. And then I had patchouli for seven hours--a nice throw on it, though. I'm going to wait a week or so and see if that improves my chemistry and this scent. Will ETA when I've done so because those first five minutes are darky, smoky, earthy goodness.

    Titania

Finally a blend with rose that doesn't overwhelm! This is beautiful--it's fruity and softly floral but with this chill overlayed on it. Like a table set in a midnight garden, when the dew is cold on your feet. It's beautiful. Simply beautiful. I reminds me of a line from a song I've always loved. I think I'm going to be using this more as a room scent in the summer than as a perfume, though. It's lovely on, but it gets faint on my skin (which tends to eat lighter scents).
