Aiglet, the CCNow page always has it as shipped within a day or so of order for some reason. You'll get a CnS with a USPS tracking number when your order really has shipped out. I don't think you, or Walking Contradiction, have got a true CnS...at least I hope not! I placed an order on the 13th and still haven't had a CnS show up for me!

I can't believe I forgot to review this one! It's SO beautiful. Imp: Almonds and vanilla. Wet: Oh, oh the sweet-spice of heliotrope and almonds. A bit of a cherry scent? Which I know is the frankincense mixing it up with the almonds. Dry 10 minutes: It's such a warm, sweet, creamy scent. The cinnamon isn't really apparent to my nose but I'm pretty sure that it's what is keeping the vanilla and almond sweetness tempered down. It's a very nice compliment to the heliotrope (oh, I love heliotrope). Dry 30 minutes: The sweetness lightens a bit as the frankincense warms in. The almond (yay!) is hanging in there and the cherry scent is gone. Dry 1 hour: And it's really fading (not a surprise on me). Still very sweet but also warm and with a spice to it--not getting cinnamon, but I'm such a heliotrope huffer that I'm not surprised. Besides, heliotrope always smells like cinnamon vanilla to me anyhow. Dry 2 hours: It's very close scent and I can't really pick out anything beyond 'sweet and warm'. Could be that I've been huffing myself to closely. Later notes from that day: Hey, it actually stuck around a good six hours (and normally my skin just eats light scents) and stayed pretty much like heliotrope and almond incense. And everybody in the house loves it. I'll have to remember to get myself a big bottle.

As a big fan of Bloodlust, I was happy to see this as a freebie in my sister's order (yeah, I total swiped it from her. Of course, she found out and stole my Neo-Tokyo imp). This does not disappoint. It's sweeter than blood (though I didn't get the cherries--I never do) but it's got all the strength and vitality. It's warm and not dry (I wouldn't call it wet or moist, just not dry which, given the cloves and the myrrh, it could have been). It's even got a bit of a tang to it. I love it.

Yet another YAY! from the Labbies. The sister and I both wore this and got...cherry blossoms. We figure it was probably the crocus and the lilies mixing. After about half an hour/forty-five mintues it settled into a green-white floral on both of us. Very refreshing and pretty! It had a pretty good throw on it, too, and lasted for quite a long time (given the two of us)...probably six hours before it needed a touch up.
-
My sister got this as a freebie (yay, Lab!) and we've both worn it. Dry 5 Minutes: Me: ozone! Her: Incense and ozone. Dry 40 minutes: Me: Some very sweet incense (probably frankincense or patchouli, knowing me) and ozone. It's not a dry scent, for all of that. Her: The same as me, but with something citrus-y. Dry 2 hours: Me: Seriously faded sweet incense. Her: A sweet, quiet incense with hints of ozone. Dry 4 hours: Me: Gone, alas. Her: Still there, but faint. It actually wore away to nothing by hour five, I believe, but I can't be sure.

Perhaps it's the Mad Tea Party scents, but this was ANOTHER scent that Sister and I wore alike. Since it was also her choice, I blame her. In the imp: It sort of reminds me of Villian, only sharper. I'm going to slap some on Mr. Circe later tonight and see how it works on him. Wet: A very herbal lavender with something sharp, but it's a darker lavender, if you take me. Dry 10 minutes: Still the herbal lavender but with sharpness and brightness. Dry 30 minutes: Lavender with a strong hint of citrus and something sharp Dry 1 hour: PENNYROYAL. Mr. Circe swears he still smells the lavender and the citrus and the darker bits but all the Circe-twins can smell is the pennyroyal. And, while seeded into my grass (for pest control) and pleasantly sharp when cut--it is tempred by the grass and the other herbs in the lawn. Alas, the Circe-twins body chemistry does not produce those scents and all the Circe-twins can smell is the pennyroyal. Dry 3 hours: After scrubbing it down, the pennyroyal remains. But it is no longer headache inducingly sharp. Notes: Our skin really amps the pennyroyal. It does it with the stuff in the grass, too, when the cut bits get on our hands. So anybody who reads this and goes 'omgNO!' please remember that my twin and I are super amps for this herb.

My sister, the convert, ordered this imp because she loves the March Hare. Once again, oddly, we wore it the same way (with most scents we get very different results). So... In the imp: Grapefruit? Wet: Ah, no grapefruit! Juicy apricot and a spicy-sweet clove. I imagine that if you stuck an appricot with cloves, that'd be this scent. Dry 10 minutes: Apricot and vanilla and cloves. It's a really light scent and both Sister and I have a baaaaaaaaaad feeling about this. Dry 40 minutes: Sure enough, the apricots are gone! The juicy-fruity smell has been eaten up by our skin chemistry and we are left with a light, but not dry, clove. Dry 1 hour: Which is rapidly going to 'sweet' and 'soap'. Delicate scents do not last long on the Circe-twins. Dry 3 hours: And it's nothing but a sweetish soap smell. A very NICE soap but I know where this is leading... Dry 3 hours and 30 minutes: And, the March Hare is gone. All in all: It's a light, sweet scent that isn't foody. Sister called this one 'slyly innocent'.

And Laurel passed it off to me! Sadly my skin did this: JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASMINE!jasminejasminejasmine! After three hours it did this: Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaasmine! jasminejasminejasmineVANILLA! Which isn't to say that this wasn't pretty. I had compliments all day about how nice I smelled. I'm just not overly fond of jasmine. However, I do have a friend who loves it so it's off to her. Notes: Great throw on it and it lasted five hours which, for a non-incense scent, is a record on me.
-
Sister of Circe was converted and got this as a freebie in her order. For once we actually wore it the same, too (normally we get really different scents off of stuff). Wet: Amber. Straight up. Dry 5 minutes: Sweet amber with something...dry. Dry 20 minutes: Dry, golden amber with something spicy to it. Since it's still wearing really sweet on me I'm going to guess it's cloves. Dry 45 minutes: Still very sweet but it's also very warm with that dryness and spice. It's a 'golden' scent, sweet without being cloying or floral. Notes: The scent--like so many light ones--is gone in less than three hours on me and the twin. It goes to powder/soap right before it disappears (not unpleasant, mind you) and lays pretty close to the skin. It's a nice scent, unobtrusive and just right when you're longing for some summer warmth.

I smell the florals, but I can't say much about them because the pepper makes my sinuses go 'BLORK' and then I sneeze. Everybody here likes the scent a lot (spicy flowers, says Mr. Circe and Sister-of-Circe says it smells like incense and flowers) but all I get is the sharpness of the pepper and then I sneeze.

Bought an imp of this of Laurel the Woodfairy (thanks much!) Imp: Cold, white florals. It's like sniffing the white flowers inside the florist refrigerator. Wet: Still cold and white and floral with a cold-water scent mixed in. Dry 5 minutes: A moonlit garden, the cold chill of dew, an aloof and unreachable woman in white. Dry 40 minutes: Still not getting any fruit, but there's a hint of...tea? And the frankincese has come out to play. It doesn't do much to warm up the scent, interestingly. It's like there IS warmth, but it's far away. Very neat! Dry 3 hours: And my skin has eaten it all up. It had an all right throw on it, but it was never overpowering. It did go to powder right before the fade but the incense kept that from being really noticable. All in all: A very interesting blend! Cool and aloof is not for me, but it's still a very neat, complex mix. Hats off to Beth!

Bought an imp of this from Laurel the Woodfairy. In the imp: Mmm...sugar, but with a dark, sly side. Wet: Dark and musky vanilla with a glass of deep brandy. Dry 5 min: Mostly the sugar, but it's a warm, dark sugar that's drunk. Dry 30 minutes: Drunk sugar is giving me a hangover. I feel horrible! Dry 1 hour: Had to wash it off. I actually threw up. The worst part is, it smells GREAT! Notes: I've tried to wear Smut on four different days now and each time it's the same (minus the vomit). My sister, however, wears it great. It doesn't have a great throw so unless I deliberately sniff her wrist, I'm fine.

Got this as a freebie from the lab (for the Labbies are kind and good and generous). In the imp: butterscotch, with a hint of dark chocolate. Wet: Butterscotch, but with a ton of pralines and hazelnuts. Dry 5 minutes: I can see why this is called 'Gluttony'! There SO much in this scent. It's super-sweet but the parlines and the hazelnuts and the chocolate give it a dark, bitter undertone. Dry 30 minutes: Wow. It's sweet to the point of being sickening, but the nuts and the chocolate keep it from tipping over that fine line. You can see WHY gluttony is a sin. Dry 1 hour: mostly getting the nuts, now, with a backing of toffee and butterscotch. It's still really sweet, but not to the sicking point. Dry 3 hours: I smell like I've been baking cookies and making candy all day. Mostly the nuts with a heavy, rich sugar punch behind it. I'd say the hazelnuts and the pralines really ground this scent and keep it from being horrifically sweet. Dry 5 hours: Pretty much the same. If I try to identify the notes, I can but mostly it just swirls around in a big, candy orgy. Overall: GREAT throw on this. Just a drop or two goes a long, long way. Lasts ages, too. I was catching hints of it some twelve hours later. As neat a scent as this is, though, it's not for me. Mainly because my husband hated it. It was way to sweet for him and he said that it gave him a headache. The kids, too, found it a bit much. I think it's a triumph of mixing, though. Beth is a genius.

A freebie with my order of Red Lantern...I the Labbies. I love hellebore (the green are beautiful, in case anybody is curious). In the imp: Lightly green and wet, but sweetened with florals. Wet: It's very green, a wet garden smell. Damp peonies nodding in their beds. Dry 5 minutes: Sharply herbal but sweetened and softened with a drift of roses and peonies. Dry 20 minutes: It's a very damp scent...almost aquatic. Green and coolly wet, like the rain-damped, dimmness of the woods. There's a drift of florals, like from a nearby garden. Dry 1 hour: Mr. Circe asked me if I spilled fabric softener on myself. Upon questioning, he DOES like the way it smells--clean and fresh and 'you know, with flowers and grass and stuff'. Dry 3 hours: And it's fading fast. Like a lot of light scents, my skin just eats it. Notes: A pretty good throw on it, without being overpowering or even 'hey! look at me!' Overall: I loved it. I can't say that I'm getting a big bottle (because of the eating thing) but I'm going to love the hell out of my imp. I'm tempted to slap this one on Mr. Circe, too, and if I do I'll let you know how that goes.

My first big bottle! Yay! And it has SUCH a pretty label. In the imp: Caramel and anise. Mostly caramel. Wet: Straight up caramel. Well, maybe a bit of opium because there's an edge to teh sweetness that came with all my other opium scents. Dry 5 min: Caramel. A rich, golden scent that is sticky sweet. Dry 10 min: Still caramel with that edge. Dry 45 min: The caramel is calming down. It's still the most dominant note, but there is other stuff now, too. The richness of coconut is there to tame the sweet of caramel and there's something that is almost sandalwood--which I'm going to assume is the tobacco. Dry 1 1/2 hours: The caramel is still the top note but the sticky-sweetness is gone. It's a rich sweetness, with amber and coconut (sadly, my skin just EATS the opium) and there is the spice of the tobacco and delphiniums. Dry 3 hours: This is still very sweet but it's not so 'foody'. It's like a sweet incense, warm and...pretty. There's a firm, spicy note that grounds the caramel sweetness. Dry 5 hours: Mr. Circe has commented that there is a boozy layer to this scent, under the warm caramel and amber. Could be that I'm too close to this, though, because it has a great throw. Final notes: I don't know. Sister of Circe hated it...but she was only around for the first half hour or so when it was treacly sweet. I didn't care much for the 'foody' overtone but....I don't know! There's something intriguing about this scent as it dries down. I'm going to give it another try at a later date and see what's what.

I've been withholding a review on this, just because I haven't been sure what to say. This is a scent that makes almost no impression on me, for some reason. And I've worn it so often that the imp is already gone. It's sweet and soft and that's...about all I get. I barely even thought to take notes on it like the other scents. What I've got... In the imp: Hhm. Myrrh and a hint of sweetness- vanilla? Dry 5 minutes: Almonds? Almonds and vanilla or honey. But that could be the ylang ylang because that wears really sweet on me. Dry 1 hour: Huh. 'Warm and sweet' is all I've got written down. It lasts ages (I could still catch it some ten hours later) but the throw isn't anything because I have no notes of Mr. Circe's reaction...not even a doodle of him with the question marks around his head. If I remember rightly, I had to get very close to smell it. Frankly, I'm bewildered by myself and this scent. I liked it but it's nothing to write home about, I guess.

This was one of the scents that I picked specifically so I could slap it on Mr. Circe. In the imp: Amber and rosewood with a bit of musk. Wet: rosewood and amber. Very, very sweet smelling. Dry 5 minutes: Me: Still sweet rosewood and amber. Him: Amber and musk. It's very sweet. Dry 30 minutes: Me: More of the rosewood is coming out, a woody sweetness. Him: Waaaaaaaaaaay sweet. Amber and roses (no wood at all on that boy) and it's masking the sandalwood, which he normally wears really well. Not a hint of musk for him. Dry 1 hour: Me: The musk and sandalwood are just background notes to the rosewood and amber. It's not conventionally sweet, but that's the impression I'm getting. Much sweetness to the smell. No animal or woods here. Him: It's an almost herbal sweetness on him. It's VERY sweet. He really amps up the amber, I guess. Dry 3 hours: It's a very sweet herbal scent on both of us, though Mr. Circe is getting more of a wood-musk scent to it than I am. Mr. Circe doesn't like this scent on himself...he says it's too sweet, even if it IS herbal-wood sweet. I think it's all right, but I much perfer him in Villian. As for myself, it's not a bad scent--crisp but deep. It's just not 'me'. It's not a bad knocking-around-outside scent, methinks. Edit: Forgot to mention that this has a really great throw on it and lasts longer on me than on Mr. Circe. He got about five hours off of it and I had it for about ten +.

I've got to get a big bottle of this. THIS is my 'writing smut' scent. My fandoms bless you, Beth. In the imp: Earth, musk, cinnamon. Hm. Wet: Earth and cinnamon--with something spicy-sweet. Dry 5 minutes: smokey-sweet heat. The cinnamon has gone to the background, the patchouli has come up a bit and the musk and the dragons blood are heavenly. Dry 30 minutes: I can't stop sniffing myself. At first I was like 'and other people feel like...biting things??' and now I'm very much 'omg, Mr. Circe come over here so I can BITE INTO YOU'. Dry 1 hour: Sweet incense with something hot and dark roughing it up. This scent means to push you down and have its way with you. And I'm all about that, yay! It's got a good throw on it, but not something overpowering. It's sly and sexy and a little wicked. Dry 2+ hours: Very much the same as hour one, though I think it gets sweeter with time. Mr. Circe had an interesting observation on this one: It's one of those scents that grabs the other person by the collar (almost tenderly) and very calmly tells them that they are in trouble of the very best sort. Dry 4 hours and then some: It does get sweeter as time goes by. The spice and the heat and the smoke are still there, but like a bloodlust that's been sated. Bottom line: This is a scent to wear when you feel (or want to feel) sexy and powerful and sly. It is, honestly, a great scent for writing fandom porn. I haven't tried this on Mr. Circe yet but I'm veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery tempted. Will update if/when I do and let you know how it works on He-Who-Holds-Incense-Notes-Well

In the imp: Sandalwood with honey-roses. Mmmm. Wet: Wow, honey. With sandalwood and something else that's almost oranges, but isn't. Dry 5 minutes: The honey and the sandalwood are vying for top-spot but the roses are back, very faintly adding a richer note to the sweet. Dry 20 minutes: And whoooooosh, it's all a very sweet sandalwood. Dry 1 hour: nothing but sandalwood and sweetness which, upon very close sniffing is probably the honey and the roses. Oranges, we hardly knew ye. Dry 1 1/2 hours: Soap. It's gone to a soap smell. Not the feeling of smelling soap, but a herbal soap. Jezebel, you wench! You loved me and left me nothing but the scent of your soap. My skin also ate this in about three or four hours, too. It was pleasant and I'd like to try it as a room scent once hecate or tushnamatay finish out. The throw on this wasn't bad. Mr. Circe turned his head and sniffed at me as I went past somewhere in hour two.

Got this as a freebie from the lab in my first-ever order. The Labbies, they are wise and good. Thank you, whichever of you put this in with my order. In the imp: Ooo! Sweet, creamy almonds and warm, deep myrrh with a hint of musk. Wet: Smells sweet, but not overpoweringly so thanks to the darkness of the musk and the incense/smoke of the myrrh. Dry 10 minutes: My almonds are all gone The myrrh and the musk are lovely and they ARE tempered with the almond (so they're not GONE, just hiding). Dry 30 minutes: It's got an okay throw. It's very herbal/incense/musk which is nice but I'm missing the rich almond sweetness. It's THERE...taming the musk...but I want more. Dry 1 hour: Pretty much the same as before. I can't detect the almonds at all. If I hadn't been there for the first five minutes or so, I wouldn't have pegged this as having almonds in it. Fades: It's gone in about six hours. At hour five or so I have to have my nose right to the place I applied it. Overall: It's lovely and I enjoy it, but I like it better as a room scent (which, wow, is lovely with a great throw). Mr. Circe called this 'Masabakes' younger, much more innocent sister'.

This was a freebie in my (first ever) order. OMG  I love the the person who put this in my box. I was out for the day, so I took notes on it. In the imp: Dark, earthy, with a sort of sour note. I went 'hmm' at it. Wet: I fell in LOVE with it. There's a scent of earth and the warm, dark dryness of myrrh and something that isn't so much 'sweet' as it is 'lucious'. And something that sparkles. Dry 10 minutes: Could not stop sniffing self. This is a lucious, earthy, sweet-bitter-tingle darkness. Where is Mr. Circe? Dry 30 minutes: The scent of 'earth' fades so it's not a 'dirt' smell (which I enjoyed muchly) but it's still there, keeping the myrrh from being too dry. Really, where is Mr. Circe? Dry 1 Hour: I'm guessing that it's the mimosa that adds that bitter-tart sparkle to this scent and that the lush/sweet is from the black currant (one of those deep, deep black ones). The mandrake is the dirt/earth smell and the myrrh is the smoke-incense. Where the hell is Mr. Circe? Other notes I made that were coherent: Excellent throw and it lasts all day. This is one of those sexy, powerful scents. Mr. Circe said (and I quote) "You smell great", which is high praise indeed. I am SO getting a big bottle of this when finances permit.

A scent that captures a meeting of the serenity and elegance of ancient Japan, the vibrant, shining, neon-lit and ultra-modern splendor of today's Tokyo and the fantastic electric fantasyland of post-modern manga fantasy. Urban metallics and an ozone-tinged breath of electric light mingled with reedy bamboo, crisp mountain air, cherry blossoms, delicate orchid and a splash of playful, wet fruits. I tried this on one wrist with Kyoto on the other. It was 'smell like Japan' day. In the imp: Cherry blossoms and rain and clean air and something that smells like the look of neon lights. Something green and something sweet. It smells like anime!!! Wet: More of the rain/clean air scent, but that sparkling, upbeat energy smell is still there and the cherry blossoms, the green, and the sweet scents are there, too. Dry 10 minutes: Mostly air and rain and green. The sweetness and the cherry blossoms are just hinted, like they're carried on the breeze. Dry 30 minutes: Dryer sheets? Dry 1 hour: Still an almost dryer-sheet smell, but like a really GREAT dryer sheet. It's very 'moist mountain air'...with a crisp green scent to ground it and the something sweet (which is probably both the orchids and the fruit) makes this a very pretty scent. And, remarkably, that metalic ozone is there adding a snap to it. It's dryer sheets only if you don't think about it, I guess. Dry 3 hours: It goes a little soapy feeling--richer? Warmer? Something like that. Otherwise it's pretty much the same. The cherry blossoms are back! Light and sweet and floating on the breeze. This is seriously an anime smell. This is how Tokyo smells in anime. Dry 6 hours: It fades, obviously, but it's still there. Pretty much the same though the sweetness is dropping out so that it's mostly mountain air without the background notes. Ozone/neon light is still there, tingling on the edges. Next morning: Hey! It's still there! Very faint, but I know for a fact I don't generally smell like wet-green-mountain air. I love this scent. Like so many others, I'm going to try this as a room scent. I'm also going to try this as a sachet because it's just light and energetic and lovely. Further note: I tried the Kyoto again with a layer of this over it and it's lovely there, too. ETA: My twin sister gets tons of cherry blossoms out of this. It does not go to ozone/dryer sheets on her at all. It lasts a good seven or eight hours on her. Also, as room scent this is glorious.

I wore this on one wrist and Neo-Tokyo on the other just to compare and contrast. Also, I love cherry blossoms. In the imp: Ooooh, this is lovely. The sweet, dazzling scent of cherry blossoms with a hint of sandalwood and the spice of anise. Yay! Wet: Cherry blossoms, but the sandalwood disappears under the anise. Dry 5 minutes: Anise. Everywhere. It's tempered a bit by the cherry blossoms but in a deep breath (wafted, not sniffed from the wrist) it's the very last thing I smell. Dry 15 minutes: Anise, anise everywhere and not a drop of sandalwood. It's pretty much the same as before. Dry 1 hour: Anise, though it's calming down. The cherry blossoms are still an after thought but the sandalwood has taken the edge off the licorice note. Dry 3 hours: Oh, I wish this would blend better on my skin! The anise is still the dominant note but every now and again my sweet cherry blossoms make a violent stab at being top dog. It's givng me a headache. Dry 6 hours: Well, fading down. Still anise but thankfully still a bit tempered by the sandalwood. The cherry blossoms are gone, I think. Overall: I wanted to LOVE this scent and in the imp, I really did. I might try it as a room scent. I'm also going to let this age and see if it helps. Also, this has a really great throw. I REALLY hope aging it helps.
-
In the imp: Heather. With a hint of something sweet Wet: Yup, heather. A very green, herbal scent. No blackberries to speak of. Dry 5 minutes: This smells damp and cool, like a misty day. It's very fitting for the heather. There is something sweet in this, adding to the wet/cool/green. It doesn't smell like blackberries to me. Dry 25 minutes: It goes a little soapy. Not the scent itself, but the feeling of the scent. More sweetness is coming out. Dry 45 minutes: The heather and the blackberries...which isn't a 'berry' scent to me, but rather more like standing next to a plant with full canes of fruit...mix nicely together, neither one is overpowering the other. Dry 2 hours: Still a lovely, subtle mix. I feel like I'm out for a walk on a misty, early autumn morning. It's got a pretty good throw. I was asked about it by the cashier at Target. Overall: This is a really pretty scent. It lasts about four or five hours on me, but goes very quiet after about the third. I'm not sure if it's 'me' but it certainly is nice.
-
The loveliness of this blend cannot be overstated. I'm going to get a big bottle--probably a ten ml. In the imp: Creamy, light sandalwood and something sweet--possibly opium? For all that it's a very soft scent. Wet/Drydown: The sandalwood is heavier but otherwise it's the same sweet, softness from the imp. It's soothing. Dry 10 min: I've got to quit sniffing myself. It lays pretty close to the skin and I look like a weirdo with my nose glued to the crook of my arm. Dry 30 min: The sandalwood is quietly becoming a background note to the sweet scent, but it's so pretty and unobtrusive. I smell so good wearing this! Dry 1 hour: This isn't a blend that changes much, just gets quieter and...deeper? That light sandalwood is still there but the sweetness (with just a bit of an edge of spice) nestles up close to it so that it's just...'meditation blend' is right. Relaxing and calming and you do have to breath deep to get it. It's there, but people won't stop and go 'who's wearing that?!'. They'll go 'what smells so nice?' Dry 3 hours: It's fading on me, again without the change--just sweet and soft and comfortable and deep. The smell reminds me of the calm feeling of an empty church or a zen garden. Dry 4 hours: It's nearly gone. I have to be right close to smell it (I double checked with Mr. Circe in case I'd just huffed it too much). On Mr. Circe: Very much the way it smells on me, only he holds the sandalwood better than I do. On me it smells sweet and pretty, on him it smells masculine and...just, mmm. It made me want to snuggle close and just hold him and sleep late. Lasts for AGES on him. I got him before he went to work and could still get a whiff of it the next morning. As a room scent: I'm doing this right now, so I don't know how long it lasts but it stays almost exactly as it does in the imp, has a great throw, and is very nicely masking the scent of my self-cleaning oven (which is self-cleaning). Beth, any chance of you telling us what's in here?
