Update on review: 2012 version After letting my bottle age, it smells SO much better both in the bottle and on me. Less boozy and strong. Now it smells like yummy sweet candy Hard to detect fruits though. Smells more like sugar to me. Next year I imagine it'll be perfect

Overall, the combination of notes smells like bubblegum wet and dry. Fruity sugar. It is interesting. Just a bit too sweet for me. I do like sweet/bakery scents but this just reminds me too much of gum.

Resin, honey, and ginger. Strong resin based scent. Resin and me don't agree. Smells like incense to me. Was hoping for more of a bakery scent.

2012 decant... Smells like buttery, warm sugar cookie wet. On me, it is more noticeable that it smells VERY similar to Pumpkin V 2012. The only difference is this is more heavy on the vanilla while the latter was heavier on the spice. Both smell like the exact same spice note- cinnamon/nutmeg. It is not so much of a baked smell as it is a raw cookie dough smell as it dries down. I liked the smell wet better. I just wish less of the cinnamon was there since it is too similar to Pumpkin V. Spices are amped up. Plus it reminds me more of a snickerdoodle, so calling it snickerdough might match the scent more closely.

A cool peppermint with a hint of musky vanilla. The scent stays the same pretty much, just a bit warmer as the musk and vanilla come through. Interesting seasonal scent. Can at least be used to clear your sinuses.

Peonies and cream. 2012 decant... Wet: I do smell vanilla and some spice at the forefront. Sweet bakery type scent with floral peaking through. Smells very different dry however. On me the creamy vanilla smell vanishes very quickly, less than a minute leaving a floral scent. Instead of peonies, it smelled first of roses, then more like hyacinth or lilac to me for the first ten minutes or so and also maybe a bit of jasmine. Then I smell the peony breaking through. Maybe. Quite honestly, maybe I've forgotten what peony smells like What I smell may be the merging of a floral blend. Also a touch of greenery/freshness. It is a nice, light fresh floral. Different. Reminds me of those big, triple milled bars of fancy floral soap.

2012 decant. Not too fond of this scent. Smells heavy of white florals. And then smell a slightly minty, powdery vanilla mixed in. I find white florals cloying on me and this is no exception. I was hoping to like it based on the reviews and notes others have smelled. There is this basic holiday scent for candles-jack frost which this scent reminds me of.

2012 decant Wet smells like yummy pink roses. On skin smells of rose and powdery vanilla. The powder blends in becoming a more creamy rose. Might need a full size. For reference I like this along with the Peacock Queen. This is a younger version, in the middle... A subdued, pleasant rose. Less bright than Red Rose, but not as mature as Peacock Queen.

2012 decant Smell like a velvety, fresh rose. Not as much of the greenery in the beginning as the Red Rose. More voluptuous. Reminds me of full-bodied, quality roses-received and from mother's garden, not the weak/cheap roses that barely smell from a grocery store. I prefer this version more than Red Rose and am considering buying a full bottle.

2012 decant Smells of a very fresh, green rose from a florist shop both wet and dry. Slowly the greenness wears off smelling more like the Peacock Queen. Think I may prefer the Peacock Queen more since it lacks the brightness/sharpness in the beginning.

Sugared amber/leather. Smells very earthy and sweet. A slight floral lavender, but amber is always brought to the forefront for me. Amber and me unfortunately do not mix. For me I couldn't wash it off fast enough and washed it twice and the smell is still on me.

Sad I smell cherry cough drops/cherry medicine with slight vanilla- very artificial smelling with amber/musk smell which kills it for me. I wanted to like it since I like strawberry but I don't really smell that note. The cherry over powers.

The gentleman part threw me off and kind of made me have the assumption I would not like it. Plus I'm not much of a lime person. Wet: Smell a fresh lime margarita. Citrusy, energizing. Dry : Smell the citrusy, sour, mouth puckering lime for a bit... but then it mellows down and I can smell the lilac coming forward being the more dominant scent, while the citrus compliments and gives the lilac a fresh, green smell. It is a very nice, interesting scent. Since I am new to bpal, I've been making a pile of imps to swap and I thought whitechapel would be going in the pile (the name and description threw me off) but I am definitely going to keep it now

I love jasmine but the earthiness (oak moss/cedar?) makes it less of a feminine scent on me. With the mix of citrus on me it reminds me of an old person type of smell Was hoping for it to be a bit sweeter, but earthy scents and me don't mesh.

hmmm I wonder if I will ever like musk scents as I get older since it does seem a lot of people like this scent and think it is "slinky". I do get some almond and spices. But musk always kills a scent for me. It reminds me of old lady perfume in the end no matter what.
