I was kind of scared of Manhattan, there's a hell of a lot of notes in here and they don't make much sense together. Very bright lemon and tea, calming down a bit on my skin. No amber, leather, teak, orchid, grapefruit, or mint. Maybe there's some kush, but since I don't know what it is, I can't say.

The only amber blend ever to work on my skin! This smells like slightly smoky dried rose petals. I would love to try layering it with other rosy scents, including London (in the hopes that the powderiness is calmed somewhat by Black Rose).

Hardcore hoping I finally have found an absinthe-themed scent that actually smells like something I'd want to wear. Very strong lavender and fern. I may send my mother an imp of this, for she loves lavender. The lilac comes through only slightly on my skin. I don't smell rose, or blackcurrant, or sugar, or absinthe. I am a happy camper, ooh yes.

Pure neroli and bergamot. I don't get any clove at all, just really biting and citrusy notes. The mimosa comes through after a moment on my skin. There's still a rotten herbal-citrus smell about the whole thing, though. I think it's the neroli and bergamot. Mostly bergamot, if I had to guess.

I can smell the lilies and opium, mostly. It's very floral, and reminds me a little of the unreleased blend Zero (one of my favourites). Definitely a keeper.

MXCIII (1093) A bit of dirt, and some herbs. I get the same apple pie smell I've had from several Chaos Theories from different rounds. On my skin the herbs fade away. Sad, because I don't like apple pie. This does smell insanely close to it, though.

Mmm, I can hardly smell either the neroli or the lotus. They're just present enough to differentiate this from other lavender blends. Mmmm. I may give this imp to my mother, because she'll have more use for another variety of lavender than I will.

Mmm, berries! Smells like those little raspberry hard candies, kind of. The plumminess increases on my skin, so that it's still fruity but now it's what it's supposed to be. Mmmm, I kind of want to eat my hand.

Amber and gardenia, my BPAL nemeses! Even though I usually have a hard time smelling blends with amber, I like this in the imp. The patchouli is pretty strong, but the amber obliterates everything else, even the burnt plastic of gardenia-on-my-skin. After a couple of minutes, some nice florals come through. I'm shocked that Iambe has worked this well, but I still don't like it enough to keep it.

I definitely smell sweet pea and carnation. They work surprisingly well together, the sweetness of the sweet pea taming the sharpness of the carnation. Mmm. Keeping my imp.

Holy cow, cherry cough syrup! It calms down a little on my skin and takes on an oddly incensey smell, but it's just not my thing.

My nose has a problem with amber, and so does my skin. My nose can't smell any blends with amber in them, no matter what other notes there are, and my skin eats such scents alive. Needless to say, Brisingamen smelled like a whole lot of nothing to me.

I think the myrrh was too dark for my skin. It smelled too heavy, and the floral note was cloying. Darkness was really icky for me.

Dorian smells really sweet and gentle. It makes me think of milky tea, and it a quintessentially English sort of perfume.
-
This was a gentle spicy scent. Unfortunately, a few minutes after I put it on, my skin started to burn. Obviously this is not for me.
-
This smells very sweet. Kind of like milky tea with not one, not two, but three lumps of sugar. I really don't get any wood from this at all.
-
This has a yucky note to my nose, like a note in Absinthe but far less pleasant, and it lacks throw. It's really not good on my skin. I blame the honey component.
-
This does smells like dandelions! Unfortunately, it triggers my allergies. Oops.
-
All I smell is powdery roses. None of the other notes come through. This is pretty, but I can't really wear powdery roses because they aggravate my allergies. Oh well.
-
I smell pepper, herbs, and wood. It's a really masculine scent, but I'm pretty happy about wearing it. It's fantastic!
-
I think my nose is weird, because every foody scent smells a little overcooked. It does smell like brownies, just burnt ones. I'll send this on to someone whose nose works right.
-
I don't really smell the herbs and flowers, just dragon's blood and orange, and the orange fades quickly. As it does, the florals come forward a bit. I think I'm smelling marigold most strongly out of them.
-
I mostly smell white musk and misty herbs. This is lovely, very sweet and gentle. I'm probably not going to hoard it because I don't wear this kind of scent often, but I think I will keep my one imp.
-
My mother says she can pick out the phlox. I can only tell it's a carnation-like floral. Really pretty. I like it, and I'm keeping my imps.
-
I think this smells quite a bit like Numb!!! It's a lovely sort of violet smell. I love it!! I don't think I'm going to hoard it the same way I hoard Numb, because I think it's more expensive, but I'll hold onto my imp and probably acquire some more.
