Scent in bottle: Sweet vanilla-y milk chocolate. Oh dear. Scent on me: Wet -- After a blinding flash of sugar, the sandalwood and myrrh start to peek out. Dry -- Sandalwood, cocoa vanilla, and myrrh, in that order. Lovely and sweet, though the sandalwood's a bit dry. Conclusion: This is quite lovely and comforting :-) I'm not sure I like the sandalwood this strong and dry, so I'll give it a few more tries, or maybe try combining it with something to cut the sandalwood. This with Sudha Segara could give the most glorious gingered chocolate...

Scent in bottle: Black chocolate, musk, and something that smells almost like hazelnuts. This is either going to smell gorgeous on me, or the red musk will eat my wrist for lunch. Scent on me: Wet -- It's still that same weird bitter hazelnut chocolate. Dry -- An odd herbal cocoa musk, with the mandarin finally showing itself as well. Conclusion: This stuff is weird. I don't know whether I like it. I'll keep it around for a while just out of curiosity.

Scent in bottle: I'm mainly getting honey, carnation, and bergamot. A nice clean tea-ish sort of smell. Scent on me: Wet -- Citrus-honey-floral. Dry -- Clean milk and honey and a fruity-citrus floral background. Conclusion: Honey plus florals evidently are my friend. Mmmmmm.... Definitely a keeper. It's feminine but in a nice sweet way, and isn't too floral.

Scent in bottle: A nice clear amber-vanilla mix. Scent on me: Wet -- Vanilla. Lots and lots of vanilla. Dry -- The vanilla and honey and amber combine to make this heavy, sweet, almost almond-like scent that sits on my wrist and lurks. The effect is much like the almond in Bordello. Conclusion: It's honey and amber -- that should be unutterably beautiful on my skin, and no. Make it go away...

Definitely Jabberwocky for that kick of pine and eucalyptus and citrus :-) I also find some of the foresty scents such as Burial or Loup Garou good for waking up. Thaleia on me is the most gorgeaus honeyed citrus floral, which I find wonderful for "got up on the wrong side of the bed" days.

Scent in bottle: Wine, honey, and a touch of myrrh. Mmmmmmmm...this is almost like Delphi, except it's an upscale Greek tavern instead of a seedy one. I'm not sure if it's too sweet, though. Scent on me: Wet -- Mmm...it's still slightly too sweet-alcoholic, but the myrrh has come out to play. Dry -- It stays myrrh and sweet alcohol, and is lovely, but still a bit on the cheap-mead side. Conclusion: This borders on the too-sweet, but isn't sickening like Delphi was. I'll keep it and try again in a week or so.

Kitsune-Tsuki smells like fresh, sweet daffodil in the bottle to me :-) Sadly, my skin chemistry turns it to something aptly described as "cherry Windex", but hopefully you won't have that problem. It's a glorious room scent.

Scent in bottle: Ooooo...a glorious, fruit/rose combination! Tart and sweet and floral. I want to eat it. :-) This might be nice as a room scent for when I'm in a really bad mood. Scent on me: Wet -- lush, sweet rose. I can no longer identify the fruit as pomagranate, but it stays as a nice tart fruit background. I love this rose scent! Dry -- As it dries, some of the sweetness fades, leaving tart, juicy rose. It feels very me. Conclusion: Bottle. Big bottle.

Scent in bottle: There's definitely ginger in this! *bouncebouncegingerbounce* Also a smoke-smell, and what might be patchouli? Fascinating. Sharp. Scent on me: Wet -- Ginger and some kind of warm, woody scent. It's lovely and comforting; not at all what I'd expected. I'd expected something ashy and evil, but if this a fire-creature, it's a phoenix. Dry -- Something resiny that I can't identify has come to the front, with the ginger strong in the background and patchouli in there somewhere. Very sharp but still warm and hopeful. Conclusion: Yum. I'm pleasantly surprised with how this turned out. Very unusual...it's not really something I could just wear around in most situations; I almost want some sort of ritual use for it. It's a quite gender-neutral scent --- I'd love to see what this does on a guy.

Scent in bottle: it's a very clear, cold, floral acquatic scent. Scent on me: Wet -- I have no idea what this smells like. It's some specific flower, but I'm not familiar enough with floral notes to tell which one it is. Dry -- Fresh grass. With that same flower in the background. It's a lovely, calming, spring-like scent, with a very sharp overtone that's almost....grapefruit peel? My skin chemistry is weird. This would be a great scent to wear when I need to focus.

The oil in this bottle is an impressively dark brown. Scent in bottle: Essence of Hippie Store. In a good way, but I hope it smells like something besides nag champa on me. Scent on me: Wet -- Now it smells like Hippie Store and musk! Oh, yum :-) Musk loves my skin so very much. Something I'm assuming might be saffron is adding a nice sharp scent to it. Dry -- Some of the hippies have gone away, leaving a faint trace of musk and spice-cabinet. There's an almost nutty, foody kind of scenet in the background that adds weight; I can't tell if that's part of the musk or what. It's quite lovely, and makes me want to take up belly-dancing. Conclusion: Excellent, but the hippie-store tone limits the number of situations I'd want to wear it in.

This is absolutely luscious...I wasn't sure what to think from the description, given all the ingredients, but I couldn't pass up a perfume named for Kali. In the bottle: I mainly get red wine and honey -- very sweet and very alcoholic. On me Wet: wine and chocolate and spice and honey and YUM! Dry: The sweetness fades out and it's left with wine and flowers and a whif of cocoa and spice. Something turns faintly soapy, but somehow it's not unpleasant. It's very aptly named. Female (yet not at all girly), powerful, rich, and alternating a feeling of protective motherliness with "I eat demons for breakfast". I've found that wearing it makes a surprizingly good meditation focus.

Smell in the bottle: Mmmmm....warm and dry and spicy. Sort of a furry smell, though I don't know how much that's influenced by the name. Smell on me: Wet -- the spices come out a bit more, and it's sort of sweet and almost a spiced-orange kind of a smell. It's a nice warm cozy scent. Dry -- the sweetness has mostly gone and now it's just faint warm spices and almost a kind of gentle musk...is that what "amber" smells like? It makes me want to curl up by a fire and purr. This would be an absolutely marvelous room scent for cold winter evenings. Three hours later it's still almost as strong as it was when I put it on, and has gained a slight sweetness that reminds me somewhat of caramel chocolate for some reason. I may not have put quite enough on, but it definitely has staying power.

Scent in bottle: Lots of wintergreen -- a real, green, herby smell rather than artificial sweet stuff, but it still reminds me of toothpaste and gum. There's a brush of wood and floral at the back, but it's mostly wintergreen. Not at all what I was expecting, but certainly refreshing. Scent on me: Wet -- the wintergreen is still strong, but not overpowering. There's more of a dark, earthy smell that's maybe the lichen, and the woody hardware-store smell is coming out more. Dry -- the wood smell and green smells are now pretty well balanced. It's very subtle, more so than Lion, and I put more on. This is a spring glade sort of woods, not the deep forest. Nice, but I don't think I'd ever buy a bottle of it. The wintergreen is pretty strong which I'm not sure I like as a perfume. It's definitely natural wintergreen, but there's still the gum and bathroom product association that I can't really shake. There is the promise of dry woods and leaves at the back of it, but the wintergreen just grabs my sinuses and attacks them. I may try Yggdrasil to see if I like that one better; they seemed similar.

Scent in bottle: Juniper, flowers, and dirt. Actual dark rich soil. Mmmmm... Scent on me: Wet--the soil scent fades to the background and the juniper and patchouli come out more. This is entish musk. I like it. Dry--Fades to a faint mix of juniper, cypress, patchouli, and soil. As it dries further the sharpness of the juniper recedes and leaves a sort of almost warmth. This is darker than what I'd hoped Hamadryad would be, but it's the forest smell I was hoping to capture. It's the smell of deep forest where the light barely reaches the floor through dense leaves. Oh, happiness! :-)

Scent in bottle: florals and a sweetness at the back that I can't really identify. I'm not smelling milk or ginger, which is more what I was hoping for. Scent on me: Wet -- there's the ginger! It's a nice warm sort of crystalized ginger; quite lovely. Dry -- Warm, soothing flowers with the ginger in the background. As it dries more the milk comes out with more ginger and the flowers recede. As a room scent this is absolutely heavenly -- the ginger and flowers are there, and the honey comes out as that wondrous sharp honey smell -- it isn't at all cloyingly sweet.

Scent in bottle: floral with something heavier that might be musk behind it. I have a hard time describing this one. Scent on me: Wet -- Pleasant and vaguely floral, with something citrusy in it. Not bad, but a little too generic-perfume. Dry -- The musk comes out to play...my skin chemistry and musk get along so very, very well. I now smell cuddly! It's as if the musk was going for "sexy", but decided against it at the last minute. It's such as warm, happy, contented smell. I have ordered a 5ml of this one :-) It would be 10, but the smell is so strong that I only need to use a little bit at a time and 5ml will last me a good long time.

Scent in bottle: Chocolate and something that smells like green banana, with some faint incense. Scent on me: Wet -- More chocolate and flower-banana smell, with patchouli coming out now. Dry -- The patchouli and flowers are dominant dry, and the incense comes back. It's a lovely smell, but I'm not sure I like it as something for me to smell like. I just can't get past that unripe-banana connotation. It's very odd. Well-named, though.

Scent in bottle: Oooo, yum. Sandalwood, jasmine, patchouli, and lemongrass weaving in and out of each other on different parts of the breath. The rose and cederwood are probably in there too, somewhere, but that many different things are hard to distinguish. This is one of the first ones that actually smells like all the things in the description. Scent on me: Wet -- Lemongrass and jasmine, with some of the sandalwood and patchouli. Given how much my skin chemistry seems to like both lemongrass and galangal, I should avoid things with both of them in it, or I'll smell like Thai food for days. Dry -- More lemongrass, patchoulie, with maybe the ceder coming out now? Or rose? It's something at the back that I can't quite identify. This is a very lovely scent, but I can't decide yet whether it makes me smell like food. I'm hungry, so everything smells like food. I'll have some breakfast and then maybe the vague desire to stir-fry my wrists will go away. (later) Now the lemongrass has faded back some more and the rose and jasmine are dominant, with ceder and sandalwood. This is a beautiful scent, though not quite what I was expecting. The lemongrass is definitely dominant. As a room scent it's quite refreshing, and I'm fond of the floral drydown as a perfume.

Smell in bottle: Fruity, with the almond at the back. I normally don't like the smell of sweet almond, but this isn't overpowering. Maybe I mind the smell less when I'm not eating it. This smell is weird, in a way I wouldn't expect from the ingredients. Smell on me: Wet-- Stays about the same, and remains compeltely bizzare, yet works somehow on me. Dry-- Dries to a faint, lovely wet fruit smell with some of the earthiness of the almond (which has become almond rather than amaretto) beneath it. Smells utterly unlike anything I'd imagine something with that name to smell like. Rich and wet, but not at all sexual. More like the smell of sitting in an orchard on a hot summer day. This one is strong and long-lasting. If I wear too much, the fruit-sweetness starts to get to me. It's still nice, though. (later) And when I say "strong" I mean that I've taken a shower and still smell like it. It's lovely, but it sort of scares me. I really want to know what's in it that bonds to my skin chemistry like that, so I know not to get anything else with it. Maybe the plum? Or currant? The wine in Kali didn't stick around like this.

Scent in bottle: I can definitely smell the citrus, especially the lime. Quite nice, though I don't know what it'll do on me. Wet-- Bitter sharp lime with something at the back that's almost....nut? I have no idea what that is. I really really like it. Dry-- Some of the lavender's coming out now, and the lime is still there. This scent is weird on me. I think I still like it, but yeah, weird. The more I wear it the more I like it. I do definitely want to try this on a guy, though. It's quite masculine.

Scent in bottle: Ginger, honey, and pepper, with a hint of cool vanilla. Mmmmmm... I was a bit worried about the vanilla, but it's not overly sweet. Scent on me: Wet-- I smell sort of like a cookie. No pepper anymore, just a sort of vague gingery sweetness. Not bad, per se, but I'm going to start chewing on my wrist if I keep smelling like this. Dry-- There's the tea! I really like this scent now...it's dried to a warm, sweet spiciness with some sort of sharp tannins in the back, and it's lost its food character. I'm still not actually sure if I want me to smell like this, though. More Dry -- Ok, it's done this thing on me...I can't identify any element that's individually something I dislike, but it's indescribably unpleasant. Make it go away . . . Such saddness :-( Normally ginger and honey do glorious things on me. Maybe it's the linen or tea that's turning so weird? It's too foody to work as a room scent for me.
