Bottle: roses and spice, subdued. Wet: the musk is deepening beneath, broadening and warming. mmmmmusk. Dry: spicy and musky with a hint of floral undertone - it's not feminine, it's dusky yummyness. Later: mellow and warm, none of the notes stands alone - they are a fabulous compliment...I can't stop sniffing my wrist!
-
Bottle: sweet pea! lovely! Wet: the lillies are strong behind, and I can catch a hint of the honeysuckle. Dry: a very gentle floral, a spring bouquet with more insistent lily notes. Later: the stargazer is amping, but the sweet pea is still edging it out... I may need to give this another try to see if that amping note will continue to be a problem...
-
Bottle: apricot and the musk - but definitely fresh apricots, juicy! Wet: same, but the apricot has nearly taken over the musk.. Dry: hm. still all apricot all the time. Later: still only the apricot - which does not appear to be the best note for me as now it's less fresh and more...overripe and rotting in the back of the fridge. darn.
-
Bottle: florals and my old friend Spanish moss. Wet: light florals, a bit of dirt, but mainly...yep, da moss. Dry: mosssssss GAH! and it's getting all...freaky deaky nasty like only Spanish moss can. Later: no later. now. wash. must. *damndamndamndamndamn*

Bottle: ethereal florals, especially lily. Wet: a hint of the green of the ivy behind the floral. subtle, pretty. Dry: one of the florals, and I'm not sure which, is growing stronger and getting very sweet. headache-y sweet. Later: it was gentle and subtle and lovely until one of the floral notes decided to beat me senseless. "We sinuses who are about to die salute you."
-
Bottle: honey, fresh sweet honey. and some vanilla bringing up the rear. Wet: still all honey and vanilla, the honey a bit sharper. Dry: I can barely detect the amber behind the tricksy things my skin chemistry is doing to the honey. sticky-sweet and bitter at the same time - how I can do this I can't imagine, but there it is again. Later: O! how I wanted to love you; you that are so beloved of others!
-
Bottle: squints eyes. "Whoa, take 'er easy there, Pilgrim neroli." Wet: sandalwood, where are you sandalwood? Dry: Neroli! New! Improved! With a hint of ylang ylang! Later: love this story. love the Brothers Grimm. I don't love neroli, because neroli does not love me. Draw!
-
Bottle: rose, followed by jasmine and fig. mmmm. Wet: that fig is glorious! rose, and a hint of coffee on the bottom..the jasmine flows in and out. Dry: jasmine coming up to bat. noooooooooooo! Later: I'm aaaamping the jasmine again! Oh no, it sure ain't my friend. (sorry for that Gene Autry moment. I was overcome.)
-
Bottle: burnt wood and tobacco, with an edge of lavender Wet: mmm...lavender and...gym socks. Well, isn't that unpleasant?!! Dry: nah, it's the whole gym bag, because something is giving off a hint of eau de damp shoe. Later: he is swift to punish me, damned if I know when I spurned his advice though. this has to come off now, it's....uugh.. [edited to add: Emma claimed it ]
-
Bottle: poppy and...not sure what the other floral note I'm barely catching behind is. Wet: the iris, I think..and I'm catching hints of the lemon and musk. Dry: the honeysuckle is really present, now, but it's all muddling together - it's going generic floral on me. ruh? Later: high, not quite sweet, generic floral, almost soapy. oh, this does not like me, no it does not.

The most hippie / hippy scent you have tried?

Initial sniff: Dragon's Blood and cloves. Mellowed to a warm, spicy floral. Wore it to the studio tonight. Cranked out 5 plates in less than an hour and a half. I think I'll wear this to the studio again - I got into the groove immediately, and with a lot more focus than usual, and I'm a little rusty, even. Successful trial run!
-
Bottle: rose and darkness, deep darkness. Wet: heady rose and that dark undertone is showing itself as very dark amber. Dry: the musk bottom is clearer, now. a very somber, dark blend - there is nothing spring-y about these roses. Later: musky dark, with a hint of red gold. 3 of my favorite notes together - smashing!
-
Spice and resins, and a sweet edge...reminds me of the gentle sweet of mallow. I do like this...
-
Light and floral and a little on the sweet side. Fades to a light floral with a little hint of aquatic somewhere in there.
-
Heady floral through and through. Lovely roses and...some other floral I'm not quite identifying.
-
Initially I get that odd cherry-sweet that I got from the start of Hecate - almond I think - then moves to a strange astringent dustiness.
-
Juicy-fruit gum with a hint of smoke, fruity-minty with a masculine undertone. ??!!?
-
Dragon's blood and an aquatic note. Mellow, not quite masculine, on me.
-
Sharp and fresh with a hint of resin. Fades into woody.

Thanks for that! PS - Do you know how the other nymph types are meant to be pronounced? I knew thsoe semesters of ancient Greek would come in handy. I'll need to look up the greek to be 100% positive on a couple, but I think I know these all well enough to spout off: THE MUSES CALLIOPE cah-LI-o-pee (long I, long last E) CLIO cl-I-oh (sometimes I have heard this also as cl-EE-oh) (long I, long O) ERATO air-AH-tow (long O) EUTERPE you-TER-pee (long U sound, long last E) MELPOMENE mel-pah-men-ee (long last E) POLYHYMNIA polly-HIM-nyah TERPSICHORE terp-SIH-cor-ee (long last E) THALEIA thah-LAY-ah URANIA you-RAY-nya (long A) ::|:| - - - - - || - - - - - |:|:: THE GRATIÆ GRAY-tee-eye (long A) EUPHROSYNE you-FRAH-sin-ee (long U sound) THALIA THA-lee-ah AGLAEA ag-LIE-ah ::|:| - - - - - || - - - - - |:|:: THE KINDLY ONES ALECTO ah-LEC-tow MEGAERA meg-EYE-rah TISIPHONE tih-SIH-fon-ee (long last E)

Bottle: very sweet. vanilla, apricot, a hint of ginger. Wet: I can catch the jasmine, now. the battle of wills between two amping notes begins! Dry: there is a dark feel here and I can't figure out where it's coming from, but the ginger is getting more prominent. Later: the jasmine won the battle - viva la ampage! (gah!)
-
Orris, black amber, bergamot, plum and grapefruit. Bottle: grapefruit and plum, mainly. and that orris edge that seems to get me every time. Wet: orris and the plum are in the lead. darn. Dry: none of the amber yes, and the bergamot is losing the battle against the orris. grapefruit gone, gone, gone. Later: orries. hates. me. damnit.
-
Bottle: bergamot and orchid, mainly.. Wet: add to those the patchouli, coming up from behind. Dry: I can just catch the white musk, and it;s combining with something to head in a decidedly soapy direction. Later: s.o.a.p. white musk + floral = soap?

Wouldn't it be lamp-ADS in English? As in the various other nymph types: dryad, naiad, maenad, etc - dry-AD, n-eye-AD, may-n-AD? Wikipedia says Λαμπαδησ ... but I don't speak Greek. I can't find an online pronunciation for Lampades, though! well, based on that Greek it should be lamb-PAD-ays (long a in the last syll. only, in other words.) the dh I make with my tongue at the back of my teeth, but unlike a th that involves the tiop of my tongue, this I use the flat of my tongue, if that makes sense. su(th with flat of tongue)-ah SE-gar-ah (all short As) 'sow-in' (in Ireland) 'sow-een' (in Wales) 'sav-en' (in Scotland) So pronounciation will depend on the area. Sam Hane. Sounds like a car salesman.
