    Banshee Beat

I was sure that I had already reviewed this long ago, but apparently not. Banshee Beat is every bit as amazing as expected. I adore patchouli, and this is the best patchouli scent that I've ever had. The vanilla sweetens and blends into the patchouli, and it wears so well. I'm glad I have a few bottles and wish that Beth would re-release this amazing scent. GC comparison: I love Goblin, and for a substitute it is the closest thing I have found, but Goblin is no Banshee Beat.

Goblin of Yuletide Yet To Come Atmospheric Spray

Exactly as described. Frankincense and myrrh, resins sweetened just slightly. A great bedtime scent, and when sprayed on my pillow it leads me to sweet dreams.

    Konditorei Atmosphere Spray

I completely forgot to review my decant. It' foodie, at first I wasn't thrilled about how heavy the coffee was but the coffee burns off quickly enough to keep it from smelling burned, and it makes the room smell like the holidays! I took it to work and used it in my office during the holidays this year and received so many compliments about how great my office smelled. Now I'm really sorry that I didn't buy a bottle of it. Maybe one will eventually pop up on the Etsy site....

Oak Leaves and Kyphi Atmosphere Spray

This is so beautiful! I don't really feel like it's just an autumnal scent at all. In fact, it's much less leafy and more like a well-blended, sweet warm incense. I accidentally had it turned the wrong direction and sprayed it on my hair, and OMG I wish Puddin' would turn this one into a hair gloss too. The champaca really comes through, but this is not at all "headshoppy." I wouldn't hesitate to spray this one in my office, unlike some of the other sprays- it's soft enough, warm, sweetish, and so well-blended that I bet it would lead to a lot of compliments. (My office is HR, so I get a lot of employee traffic, and can't count how many tell me my office smells so good when they come in. It's always either due to my BPTP atmo sprays or my BPAL perfume wafting .)
  5. Hot, smoke, fire, a touch of cinnamon or spice, and sweet nuts. I absolutely LOVE this! By far the smokiest scent of all. So glad I ordered a bottle! It has amazing staying power, too.

    Exotic Bazaar Atmosphere Spray

Bought a gobln squirt of this quite a while ago and realized that I never reviewed it. This has everything in it that I should love, and I had expected it to be my pillow spray. I can't quite figure out why it didn't work for me, but it somehow didn't all come together the way I had expected in my head. I used up my squirt, and if another shows up as a frimp in one of my orders I'll give it another try, but so far I'll pass on ordering more. The Unspeakably Evil Temple is more to my liking for my pillow spray.

    Mrs. Palmer's Establishment Atmosphere Spray

I'm always wary of scent with leather, but I loved my decant of The Storyteller's Parlor, so I decided to try a decant of Mrs. Palmer's Establishment. This is so beautiful that as soon as I received my decant I promptly ordered a bottle from the Post! The scent is smoky-sweet, and the leather is smooth and well-worn, like a big soft cushiony armchair that you just sink into. This is an amazing scent to spray in the car. It lingers for about three days before I need to spritz it again- I usually spray it towards the carpet on the passenger side of the front seat. I spend at least two hours daily in my car for my work commute, and this makes me feel so cozy in the car.

Nag Champa scent in a BPAL blend?

stella, I wish it were so. All I get from Khajuraho is soapy rose. Which vintage is your bottle? Mine is an older one, so if yours is the newest version I might have to get one. I love Nag Champa, and so far Urd is my favorite by far.

    Krampus Bath Oil

Be good, or Krampus will toss you in a river! Sinister red musk, black leather, dusty rags, and wooden switches. Disclaimer: I use my bath oils as after-shower moisturizers, for scent layering with my BPAL perfumes and because of how awesome they are at moisturizing. I was initially leery of the leather note in Krampus, but no worries so far. This is another beautiful dark sexy red musk scent, and my skin really amps red musk (but I also get the most compliments when I wear red musk.) So Krampus is mostly red musk, and the leather grounds it but thankfully doesn't have that chemical leather smell. I don't get dusty or woodsy notes, but overall it's hard to pick out anything other than the red musk. In fact, this decant smells so similar to Eldrich Dark that it's very hard to tell them apart on my skin (or in the decant bottle, both color and scent-wise.) I've never smelled the Krampus perfume oil, and am awaiting my decant order of it to compare to the bath oil. After I get that, and if it works out for layering, I might decide to get a bottle, but for now I plan to just stick with my larger bottle of Luxuria for a sexy red musk bath oil. Edited because I did a direct comparison to Luxuria and decided that I need Krampus after all! It's definitely a darker, dustier musk than Luxuria, and I ordered two bottles!

    The Black Temple Burlesque Troupe

I didn't try the earlier version, but after reading all the raves I was determined not to miss it this time and ordered a decant. I was surprised when I tried it, as it reminds me very much of another perfume oil that I have, but I cannot figure out which one. In any event, this is very lemony at first, with the musk and a slight cocoa darkening it. At first, I thought that this was a complete failure, as I don't particularly care for citrus scents, although after about an hour the lemon had dried down enough for the musk to show itself more prominently. Either way, it's just not a "hit" for me, as I have many other scents that work far better.

    Scents for battles in life

Snake Oil and Madame Moriarty for sure, but the one I find really gives me an inner strength and kick-ass feeling is Dragon's Heart. I wear it when I need an extra boost of inner power and strength to face a situation.

    Gacela of the Dark Death

Just like NaiadOrdiad, I also ordered this hoping for something along the likes of The Night Hag Visiting the Lapland Witches. While not the same, Gacela is definitely in the ballpark and I'm not disappointed. This is a dark, smoky scent, with the pine, pitch, and cloves making it a trip through a dark forest, with the clove giving it a holiday feel. Try this if you liked The Night Hag, but also if you liked an earlier Halloweenie, The Hellgate of Ireland. It's got elements of both, though it's not the same.

    Krampus

Red musk, with a non-chemical leather darkening it, followed by the dusty woods. This is gorgeous, and because I amp red musk, not too masculine at all. I don't usually like leather scents, but the leather is so smooth and warm that it blends into the musky woodsy goodness. Love this, and definitely getting two bottles to add to my red musk hoard.

    Scent for Halloween?

Husband and I are meeting good friends for drinks and dinner tonight. And today is "supposed" to be the Zombie Apocalypse so I'm wearing VILF layered over Krampus Bath Oil. I smell amazing, and the leather, switches, and vampires should keep the zombies away!

    Eldrich Dark Bath Oil

As others have indicated, Eldrich Dark is a beautiful and sexy bath oil. I use my bath oils as moisturizers, and I was nervous about the leather note, which spells doom on my skin. However, my skin amps red musk so much that it overpowers everything else. After a while, I can detect a soft leather note but it is faint enough that I don't have to scrub it off. All in all, this is so much RED MUSK on me that although it is beautiful, due to the higher price point on the LE's, I will happily stick to my Luxuria bath oil for my red musk fix and satisfy myself with this decant. Edited to clarify that I get no Snake Oil similarity from this, and I adore all things Snake Oil, especially the SOBO. But now I've had a chance to do a side by side comparison with Luxuria. Luxuria is a sweeter-sexy red musk, and Eldrich Dark is a darker-sexy red musk. Enough difference that being a red-musk-hoarder, I need them both!

    Frank Burns

Hubba Hubba!! This is a smoky spicy sweet scent of hotness. The notes mingle on my skin, very well-blended, and it's not at all masculine on me. I can see the comparisons to Antikythera Mechanism, but more boozy, without making me worry if I got pulled over while wearing it. Love this one!

    Miss Addie

I love sandalwood, clove, and anise, so something in this should have worked on me. Unfortunately, it's nothing but a sharp white floral on my skin and smells to me both wet and on drydown just like Snow White. Snow White does not work for me at all, and neither does Miss Addie.

    Halloween In Innsmouth

I received a sniffy of this as an extra included with my decant circle order from ralenth. There was barely enough left in the imp to sniff, but just enough on the little wand apparently to apply to skin- unfortunately for me, as it turns out. This was all FISH - nothing but wet fish smell, and unbelievably strong, especially considering how little I applied. I had to scrub it off. Not a good scent for me at all. I was definitely bitch-slapped, not just trout-slapped, by this one.

    Scent for Halloween?

I wore 2009 Pumpkin IV today.

    Honey Pumpkin Stout Bath Oil

OK, I finally caved and ordered this off the Trading Post's Etsy site, because I love the bath oils so much and I love pumpkin notes. This review is based on a skin-test, since I use the bath oils as an after-shower moisturizer, so I don't have any idea what this would smell like dispersed in bath water. The stout was what had kept me away for so long, since I hate the taste and smell of beer, and was afraid of the stout. However, this is really good! There is a very mild pumpkin note to this- nothing as strong as the pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie bath oil or Marshmallow Pumpkin bath oil, nor as strong as my variety of pumpkin-scented BPAL perfumes. There is a slightly sour note at first, which I thave to assume is the stout, but it blends quickly into the honey and pumpkin, and it doesn't smell beery at all after the first minute. The notes blend together so well, and this is the most foody bath oil I have. It is a really nice scent, not overpowering with spice, and I think it will layer very nicely with any pumpkin scent, but also with other honey or cakey scents. I'm going to try it with Eat Me perfume- I think it will be a good base layer!

    Scent for Halloween?

I wore Samhain 2012 today, with a spritz of Samhain atmo spray on my sweater. I think that the more I wear it, I am actually training my nose to like it.

    Red Velvet Truffle Bath Oil

Excellent red velvet cake scent when used as a skin moisturizer, which is how I use my bath oils. I don't get a strong cream cheese note, as the cake is more prominent and it is a little more chocolate than I had expected. But it's absolutely lovely and I am definitely going to order a couple of backup bottles before it goes away. I really wish this one had been sold in the 8 oz. size, although the price point in that size would probably have limited Puddin's sales greatly. This is also perfect when worn as a skin moisturizer under my Halloween: Las Vegas perfume, and I imagine it will do the same under Cake Smash.

    Witch Dance

My Weenie order arrived yesterday and Witch Dance was my first try-out, so this review is based on trying it pretty fresh from the mailbox. In the bottle, I was surprised at how faint it was, and hoped that it would settle down and amp up after a while. I skin-tested right after my shower, so the bottle had a chance to warm up a little, and it was applied to fresh warm skin. It was mostly red musk, and I don't get any smoke or leaves at this point, although the red musk is grounded, which must be from the smoke and leaves. I was leaving to visit my mother, who lives two hours away. Upon arrival, I gave her a hug, and she immediately told me how good I smelled, and asked if I'd just applied perfume. I hadn't, it was still my earlier application of Witch Dance. It's all the more surprising that my mom smelled this because she's on oxygen and has basically no sense of smell at this point. I still don't get any smoke or leaves myself, but my skin alwasy amps red musk to eleven. However, red musk scents also garner me the most compliments, and Witch Dance definitely sticks around, so it is a keeper. edited to add: after resting for 10 days, I wore this again today, and finally I get the smoke and leaves. I am now seriously in love with this scent! It's a softer version of Samhain without the medicinal note that has always kept Samhain from working on my skin. Definitely need another bottle before these come down.

    Fae Forest Atmosphere Spray

This is initially more pine, but quickly softens down into a blend of forest smells... pine, fir, cypress, and soft woods. It's a softly whispering forest to me, very pretty and not a bathroom scent as I found Winter Wind to be. This one does smell good sprayed on my pillow and I can use it as a sleep scent. In fact, I find it extremely similar to Silent Forest Bath Oil and Black Forest perfume, which I use as sleep scents, so now I can go to sleep completely surrounded by the forest.

    Spanish Red Carnation Candle

This candle smells exactly like the single note perfume, and is absolutely beautiful. It smells like a freshly cut spicy carnation, the kind that I had in my wedding bouquet way back before the florists bred all the beautiful spiciness out of them. The candle burns very cleanly and evenly, and I could catch slight wafts of it periodically, but it doesn't have a strong throw, which is the only downside for me. (Room size that I was burning it in was about 16 ft. x 16 ft. for reference.) Wick snuffs out quickly and easily. The jar is absolutely beautiful, heavy frosted glass with a beautiful printed label. I wish there could be refills, because the jar is a keeper and I will reuse it with a votive after my candle is gone.
