    Soothing System

I absolutely love the Lab's wine scents and this one is definitely a must have for me. In the bottle it is a deep potent wine with a strong grape note. Wet on the skin the wine note intensifies with the grape turning slightly sweet. Once dry this stays pretty true to its wet phase.

    The Jersey Devil

This wasn't a scent that i ever thought to try until I received it as a frimp. I expected this to be a more wood intense scent considering the notes. In the imp: There's a sharp woodiness with a sweet background. On wet: This morphs, the woodiness is still there but is balanced with a slight fruity note. Dry: The cranberry begins to make more of an appearance and the wood, while still there, isn't as noticeable. This smells really nice on me. I'm pleasantly surprised.

    Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v1

LIV This smells like a lighter version of Dorian. Like Dorian's younger brother. In the bottle: Its Dorian with a faint citrus scent. On wet: The citrus gives Dorian a playful air. It definitely has throw. Dry down: The citrus gradually fades into the background and blends marvelously with Dorian. I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot this summer.
  4. CXXXI In the bottle: Cocoa, maybe hazelnut, a slight smell of coffee, and O. Wet on skin: I can definitely smell the honey but it is combining so well with the cocoa. There is a slight green, sharp note around the edge but not unpleasant. Dry down: This mellows into a nice warm honey chocolaty scent. This one is definitely a keeper! ETA: The more I've smelled this the more it has reminded me of something and it finally came to me. This is like having Lush's Honey Trap lip balm in perfume form.

    Upa Upa

Looking at the notes I did not expect to like this scent. Vanilla turns plastic on me and I'm not a huge fan of coconut. But when I got my first whiff of this I knew that if this worked on me it would definitely be a keeper. In bottle: All coconut with a hint of rum. Wet: Spicy, most likely due to the rum, with a slight hint of coconut which is tamed down by the vanilla. IMO this isn't much of a foody scent. Dry down: More of the spice from the rum emerges and it becomes this sexy, sweet, spicy scent. This is my new favorite scent! I must horde this! So anyone looking to sell, I'm your girl.

How do you apply your BPAL oils?

ditto unless I'm wearing something that's particularly strong on me, or I have just come from slathering I don't get any comments unless I ask, "hey how does this smell?" and offer up my wrist for inspection. I even asked my mom (who is prone to migraines and would be the only one in the house who would be bothered by my scents) if she could smell me or to tell me if I was overdoing it. She told me she couldn't smell me and enjoyed it when I asked her to sniff me from time to time. So yeah, my skin eats oil as well. Finally! I though it was just me! The scent of every oil I've tried always seem to disappear after 30 mins to an hour. Just today I had a friend take a sniff but even with his nose pressed to my wrist there was no scent. I've yet to slather myself with oil but I may have to try that. Also, the suggestion of placing a drop behind the knees.
