In the bottle: lemon, cinnamon and maybe pine. On my skin: lemon and something fiery that I don't like. It must be one resin probably. After a couple of hours: mostly faded, with just a weird mix of spices staying on. Verdict: I must say this scent feels right for "sol"... it's bright, sharp, nearly burning. I don't like it but then I don't like the sunshine either!
-
In the bottle: smoke is prominent, then comes the incense. On my skin: incense. It really feels like being inside an old catholic church. That makes me feel really nostalgic. After a couple of hours: it gets a little powdery, but the incense's still there, strongly. Verdict: beautiful. I wouldn't wear this everyday but whenever I long for my childhood, I'll have to remember Cathedral.

In the bottle: heavy floral with loads of orange blossom On my skin: some leather but mostly flowers I can't really identify. Unfortunately, the orange blossom doesn't really show. After a couple of hours: it's still there, quite powerful. Leather and something sweet. It's not all that masculine on me. Verdict: okay but not outstanding.

In the bottle: the berries come first (it smells more like blackberry than cranberry to me), then the pine comes immediatly after. I usually don't really crave for pine, but this makes me feel like trying it on at once. On my skin: pine and cedar, and something sweet that I would think is coconut even if it makes no sens!! After a couple of hours: it gets drier but not TOO dry. Boy, I love this. Verdict: refreshing, very pleasant, I want to wear it again and again. It's a VERY nice surprise!

In the bottle: pencil shavings (and I may be weird, but I like that). On my skin: sandalwood and something earthy in the background. After a couple of hours: the pencil shaving's still there, but now there's the tiniest hint of bergamot showing too. Verdict: I'm not sure why but I really like this one. Héhé, I never thought I'd enjoy smelling like pencil shavings, though!

In the bottle: jasmine (bad start). On my skin: jasmine and sandalwood. Very soapy. After a couple of hours: jasmine and sandalwood, some other flowers as well, I think. It doesn't morph all that much and fades quite quickly. Verdict: well, jasmine curse, you know. It's a pity most "peaceful" oils have jasmine in them. Jasmine makes me feel many things, but not quiet or calm for sure

Midwinter's Eve 05 In the bottle: LOADS of berries and LOADS of sugar. Let's say sugared berries. It makes me craving for a dessert. On my skin: it gets chemical. It reminds me my Strawberry Shortcake scented doll. After a couple of hours: I get strawberries... but not gorgeous, fresh strawberries, I get the usual artificial strawberries. And maybe some other berries too but anyway, they turn to plastic. Verdict: swap-pile.

In the bottle: smokey and perfumey. Maybe some frankincense but it doesn't make me think of a catholic church, so far. On my skin: more and more perfumey. It makes me think of something my grandmother might wear. It's not unpleasant, but not for me, and not really matching the description. After a couple of hours: it fades quite quickly but doesn't morph at all. Verdict: I kinda grew up in catholic churches and really, Midnight Mass doesn't evoke them at all. Cathedral was much closer to the smells of my childhood. As for Midnight Mass, I'm not too crazy about it.

In the bottle: strawberry-flavoured candies and cream On my skin: more and more strawberries but not the real fruit, it really makes me think of Fruitella or some strawberry chewing-gums. Very, very sweet as well. After a couple of hours: it gets more and more chemical, nearly plastic. No sage or anything else than artificial strawberries for me :/ Verdict: as much as I love eating strawberries, most of the time, I don't like strawberries in perfumes or bath products (I didn't like the Body Shop strawberry spray either)… it always feels artificial.
-
In the bottle: ripe mango. It's strong… not nauseating really, but very, very strong. On my skin: mango and something green. I reckon it could be green tea but I'm not sure. After a couple of hours: mango calms down a little. Patchouli and fig are prominent now. I'm usually not a patchouli fan, but it doesn't scare me off here. The scent remains very green and lovable. Verdict: a very nice fruity summer scent. I still prefer Tweedledee though.
-
In the bottle: wonderful vanilla, delicately sugared. Heavenly! On my skin: vanilla, pure vanilla (I don't get anything geological or earthy). It makes me think of Antique Lace a lot, but it's not as strong and therefore, it's better for me. I love Antique Lace, but sometimes it's so powerful it can give me headaches. After a couple of hours: it's so wonderful soft and feminine. Long thrash on me. Verdict: I adore Black Opal!
-
In the bottle: apple and vodka. Some citrus maybe. Yummy! On my skin: mostly apple… it reminds me this apple soap my mum used when I was a kid. Well, not entirely because I can still smell some alcohol there too (it turns out to be more Martini than vodka when I wear it). And then there's also something very aquatic but I couldn't say what. All in all, I really like it! After a couple of hours: well, it fades a bit too quickly and I have to reapply. Verdict: I need a bottle!
-
In the bottle: ylang ylang mixed with discrete violet. On my skin: the same. It's very delicate and a lovely mix. I don't usually like ylang ylang too much but mixed with violet, it's super nice. After a couple of hours: wow, nothing. It the quickest fader ever, saddly :/ Oh wait... I swear there was nothing left and now ylang ylang amps again. Weird! Verdict: very feminine and very beautiful.
-
In the bottle: pink grapefruit. Wow, I've been dreaming of a nice grapefruit scent for a long time. On my skin: grapefruit and something herbal (probabil chamomile). Nice! After a couple of hours: lavender shows. But still a lovely grapefruit scent. Verdict: pretty, lovely, I need more!
-
In the bottle: lemon and a hint of mint. On my skin: lemon and musk. Unexpected and pretty mix. I guess it would be perfect in the summer! Very light-coloured, very luminous. After a couple of hours: still mostly lemon, but it gets perfumey (amber and musk, I guess). Verdict: very, very nice! No wonder as I'm a lemon-lover. Still, I'll stick to Embalming Fluid as my favourite lemon fragrance because this one's a tiny bit too perfumey for me.
-
In the bottle: well, it smells like… absinthe. Anis is very present and it's clearly alcoholic! On my skin: Lemon amps up (I usually amp lemon and I like it) but it's still very boozey. I'm afraid it makes me smell like I had spent the night drinking After a couple of hours: liquorice (I suppose it's the anise, but it makes me think of liquorice). It fades pretty quickly. Verdict: it's amazing really, it certainly smells like absinthe and it's a deep green fragrance. I wouldn't wear it but I would consider it as a room-scent.

In the bottle: oh that's a pretty floral. On my skin: jasmine!! Go away now! Well, maybe, it's not jasmine, because jasmine usually remains overpowering for hours on my skin, and here it fades away quickly, to let some other florals take place (I'd say muguet, but I'm not sure). There's sugar too, maybe cane sugar. After a couple of hours: sugary floral. Nice. Verdict: I didn't expect to like this one so much, but I do. It's a keeper to my own surprise. I've never smelled any incense there, though.
-
In the bottle: cherry and something sharp close to cinnamon. On my skin: more and more cherries with something like citrus behind. After a couple of hours: it gets woody (maybe it's the cardamom, I have no idea). The cherry stays very strong though. Verdict: I'm not a cherry-fan but when the cherry fades away (after something like two hours), it lets the most beautiful smell I've ever encountered. I can't really identify what it is, but it's heavenly. BOTTLE!
-
In the bottle: kinda sour, with distinct leather and I'd say some whiskey as well. On my skin: it's very masculine but very pretty. Pine and leather. It gets warmer by the minute. After a couple of hours: it keeps getting warmer with the amber showing off. Verdict: for me, it's really a male scent, but one of my favourite CD nevertheless.
-
In the bottle: jasmine, mostly. Something a little bit boozey, maybe. On my skin: very floral… only jasmine (the usual jasmine curse!) but for any reason, I don't dislike it as much as usual. After a couple of hours: the jasmine takes hours (literally!) to fade away, and finally lets place to musk. It gets much nicer in the end. Verdict: swap pile, although it's one of my "favourite" jasmine scents.
-
In the bottle: wow, it's weird. I know I don't like it, but I'm not sure what it is. Ooh, it's pine… pine and something else… it makes me think of bathroom products anyway. On my skin: very masculine. Pine and almonds. I don't think those two scents get along too well. After a couple of hours: I couldn't keep it too long on my skin because it burnt, stayed harsh and somehow nauseating. Verdict: definitely not for me!
-
In the bottle: chocolate. Nothing but chocolate and the tiniest bit of hazelnut. It smells like being in a pralines shop (hey, I'm Belgian!). On my skin: still chocolate. Heavy in cocoa, and very creamy, plus some hazelnut… wait, it makes me think of Nutella somehow. After a couple of hours: what do you think? Chocolate, yes! And it lasts like forever! Verdict: I can imagine it must be wonderful when you are a chocolate lover, but I'm not. I don't even really like to eat it, not to mention smelling like if I had a bath in a chocolate tub… not for me, then. But I have to say, unless many other foody scents, this one doesn't turn like burnt plastic on my skin. It's pleasant, it's just that I don't like it. I agree with all those who called it Chocolate Snow White, but to me, Snow White is so much better without the chocolate!
-
In the bottle: it smells like moss and patchouli… not a usual combination for sure. On my skin: wow, that's dry and dark. Patchouli and myrrh. It's not me, it's too strong and all, but it's really nice, I couldn't say anything else. After a couple of hours: it gets more musky. Very perfumey, too much for me. Verdict: this is unusual. I've never had anything like that (well, I'm not a bpal veteran but I've smelled many, many of them)… I don't like it for me but I understand the craziness around this one.

Creamy almonds and cherries. I don't like almonds or cherries, so this is obviously not for me, but I'm sure cherry-lovers will be delighted.

In the bottle: oh that's lovely and very feminine. I smell lilly of the valley, mostly. On my skin: muguet with something spicey that I don't recognize as ginger but it has to be. Very nice. Both fresh and warm... like a Summer morning. After a couple of hours: ginger and honey, a lovely mix. Verdict: I got it as a frimp and I thought it wouldn't be for me... how wrong I was! This is a winner.
