I always have problems reviewing the Ars Draconis because I don't have a clue what Dragon's Blood resin smells like. In the bottle: marzipan and cherry. I don't like cherries and I don't like marzipan, so that's a bad start. On my skin: wow it gets much drier. It makes me think of cinnamon... and we love cinnamon, we do! After a couple of hours: it disappears quite quickly, I should reapply yet. There's only a tiny hint of cherry left, and well, cherries aren't my friend. Verdict: I'm confused... I had moments when I found it so great, and others when I thought it was too sweet for me. Have to try it in the future again.

In the bottle: it smells weird. Flowery but I can't really identify any note. On my skin: very floral. Nearly too floral. It's even a little headachish... the only thing I recognize is jasmine and God knows jasmine doesn't agree with me. After a couple of hours: the headache's still there and it smells like soap... cheap soap even. Verdict: not for me, the end.

Oh a dom! Yum! Gotta try this one... one of my first imps In the bottle: red wine... something like Merlot. Mixed with leather. On my skin: still very alcoholic... some amber too, and then it also shows its floral side. After a couple of hours: the floral takes over, but there's still this background of wine. Verdict: too alcoholic for me. Makes me feel rather nauseated. It's a pity cos I really wanted to like this one, and it had a nice floral background (I'd say I smell rose).

In the bottle: peach and amber. The peach's much stronger than the amber though. On my skin: still peach. Very sweet. After a couple of hours: there's nothing left. Aglaea doesn't last long on me. Verdict: I got this as a frimp (fruity scents are usually not my thing) and I liked it for a while, but now I find it sickeningly sweet. I really don't like it anymore.

Being crazy about Finland and anything Finnish, I was naturally attracted by Loviatar, it was one of the very first Bpal I've ever tried... In the bottle: leather... comforting leather... sensual leather. On my skin: still leather with something else... maybe musk. It's terribly sensual... sexy, even. For any reason, it also makes me think of an old library... I don't really know why. After a couple of hours: it lasts very long... it doesn't seem to fade away even after I've taken a shower. It's still mostly leather with maybe some amber (I never recognize it very well). Verdict: you GOTTA have it! My first 5 ml ever

In the bottle: predominantly honey... very spicy too. On my skin: honey with some more pepper. I'm not crazy about it. After a couple of hours: pepper, pepper and some extra pepper. Verdict: I had read the most amazing reviews about it but it certainly doesn't work for me. I'm not really surprised because I'm not fond of spicy scents.

In the bottle: lavender... very strong, nearly raging. On my skin: violet and lavender. After a while I can recognize a hint of vetiver. I'm normally not a great fan of lavender (although I'm an unconditional of violet), but this combination is fantastic. After a couple of hours: violet. Nearly pure violet... I'm in love. Verdict: Great! I've read many reviews describing Bluebeard as "very masculine" but on me (and last time I checked I was still a woman!), it's just strong and perfect.
