It's smells like amber, warm honey, burnt sugar, tiny bit of almond at first, then on skin it morphs into a scent which I cannot describe. I can only admire. Instant big bottle.

this one is really a morpher. my first thought was, strangely enough, violets! dark wild violets you find in the forest right after the rain, but only for a second!then the fruit struck and then it went back to the floral which was now clearly mimosa. it's really.. weird. but in a good way. it's fruity, but almost powdery for a moment or two, then fruity again. this one is playing with my nose, really. the drydown brings out the musk which balances the whole thing. not my thing, but it's definitely interesting.

First time I tried it I didn't know what to think about it. There was something really weird in that bottle. On skin, it was a strange musky sugary scent, which I personally wasn't thrilled with but I got loads of compliments wearing it. Everybody seemed to like it. The only thing I really cared about concerning Smut was the drydown - just divine, but it turned to this phase after a couple of hours (yes, this one lasts forever) . However, there was still a note in there I could not recognize, something I have never smelled before, which was just plain weird. But I grew to like it very much. Now it's one of my favorites. But this is not the end.. I left the bottle at my boyfriend's and one day he came to me smelling absolutely out of this world. I was enchanted. I asked him what he was wearing, he said Smut. My jaw dropped. It suited him perfectly. I would never have considered Smut a guys' scent. But it really works! It's musk with an edge, a muted sweetness, but not cloying. It's a masterpiece.

this is mostly wine and tobacco on my skin. i don't get any chocolate note at all until this is competely dry (it's chocolatey without being foody at all.). I can smell the roses, too. but, I love it. it's luscious and yummy all over. I don't know why but it is almost an aquatic to me, it just feels wet. it smells like a temple filled with flowers and offerings in the middle of an ancient rainforest. instant love. 4.5/5

Limited editions equivalents in the general catalog?

Can you recommend me something similar to Spanked (whip leather, cardamom, patchouli and bourbon)? The chances are I'll never smell it again, with ebay prices being out of my reach and it probably won't make a return to the bptp.. -
I love love love this scent. this is really dark red rose, wet, with just enough amber to make it warm. It's wonderful, dense, and very feminine.
-
very lovely, very frail, very sweet but this one really makes me think and contemplate. I like the way vanilla is warmed up with amber in this one and sweet pea just makes it gorgeous altogether. as it dries down sandalwood becomes more prominent and the scent becomes a little somber.. and sad.

my skin really loves this one. it's so warm and spicy, and incredibly rich. I do sense patchouli in there, but it's rounded up and not cloying, just warm an cosy. vanilla makes it oh-so-sexy and feminine and the blend is fantastic (as usual). voodoo is great in fall, it lifts me up, makes me feel like I'm all wrapped up in a blanket. but this blanket is more like exotic veils of spices. Need more of this one.

I really love the band Sol Invictus so the blend is interesting, too As Spellbound is already mentioned as a perfect embodiment of the Siouxsie song I have some other suggestions: I adore Talvikuu, and for me it smells like Bel Canto - Idly I De-Ice feels, also some songs by Requiem in White. Hamadryad is Cinema Strange's En Hiver. Dark and medicinal, like a medicine cabinet in the changing room of a Weimar cabaret hall Le Serpent Qui Danse is all about Peter Murphy's Dust album. It's the perfect meeting place of exotic East and decadent West. Bordello is a perfect match for Rasputina's Transylvanian Concubine. And Skinny Puppy's Cult for me smells like Masabakes, dark and beautiful.

in the vial all I get is patchouli with a slightest hint of orange blossom. on skin this is dry and almost dusty, sweet but with an edge, which almost stings my nose. this is a dominatrix scent. all other scents die in the presence of this one, even though it seems to lurk from the shadows, quietly taking over the whole room. but I like it. it's creamy, deep and complex. the throw is not strong, but this is a killer close to skin scent.

mmmm sweet woodsiness. This is very warm and comforting. Yes, it's pine but not sharp. I love this. It's perfect for spending some time alone.
-
I love this! It's earthy, smokey and juicy all at once. It's a little bit sharp, but well blended. It really morphs a lot and I like every stage this scent goes through. mmmm

first - minty, but there is so much more going on in that imp on skin - this is so beautiful, it's cold and warm at the same time. the drydown is so wonderful, it's sweet but not your usual sweetness. it's like sweet ice, its very aquatic and woodsy at the same time (must be the moss), but so airy and close too skin. I love Talvikuu and this scent is a lot lighter version it, but it definitely has this icy airy quality. The name is totally odd for this one and I don't think it's suitable. This should be Shakespeare's Ariel, or Poliahu, the snow goddess. Love it -5/5

I really didn't have any expectations about this one since fig note rarely does the thing for me. However, this is very complex. It reminded me of kenzo jungle elephant perfume because of something that reminds me od cardamon. but that one is a little too much for me, while strangler fig is a lot more appealing. It's rooty, green, but very warm (not in an amberish kind of way), it's a scent which surrounds (and strangles) but if you like it, you'll wish to be strangled with it. Nice throw and staying power. This one screams autumn.

this is lemon ice cream scent for me. it does remind me of cleaning fluid but not in a bad way. very fresh and bright summery scent with an ambery drydowm. tnx, shelldoo
-
strong but soft, very similar to le serpent qui danse! the similarity is striking, but this one is less sweet, and a little bit more green. really nice. the drydown is very green. it's a close to skin scent and the bad thing is that it doesn't really last (on my skin at least)

I think swank will be too sweet for you. Maybe some fruit/incense blend, like masabakes or a nice pear like tenochtitlan
-
I love frankincense and Faustus, but Faustus is more of myrrh blend to me than frankincense. Midnight Mass is beautiful, also Rose Cross.
-
This is fantastic! I don't really like florals but vanilla really rounds this blend up and gives it warmth. Very creamy and special. I wish this one had more throw.

I love this! Lilith reminds me of my beloved Masabakes (it must be this dark myrrh note, one of my favorites). Lilith starts off very strongly, but when it sets it's really sexy, dark scent, almost toxic. I like the wine and rose notes in this one, since Masabakes is mainly blackcurrants and this is more complex. Definitely a stronger scent but I will wear it this summer for sure (at night).
-
This is sooo beautiful Perfect summer bpal. Sandalwood + incense + some florals (someone mentioned bananas? yes, that's it, sweet warm fruity scent, but very dry and balanced). very soft. I'm dying. need to get a bottle of this. Not very long lasting, though.

I love this It smelled like cola at first but then cinnamon exploded on my skin, followed by myrrh, which I adore. i have a mild allergic reaction to cinnamon but that won't stop me from wearing this diluted or in a scent locket I'd like to add that this really really works. Ah the power of mind.
-
I was afraid this would be too sweet on skin, even though it was divine in the vial, bubbly and fruity, very juicy. But it turned out even better than expected - subtle fruit, subtle incense, overall a little bitter. perfect combo that works like a charm with my skin chemistry.
-
I'm a myrrh junkie so this was like a dream. Roses are not my favorite floral but this scent somehow does it for me. It's not to sweet, not too bitter (even though there's something patchouli-like in there..). Overall 3+/5 (4 in springtime) ADDED July 19: first thought: oooh, this is rosey but not in a bad way then jasmine comes out, followed by mirth which makes it less cloying and just right. I feel very womanly with this one on. grade: 4/5

rum and honey, very creamy. but no matter how interesting this is, it's not very wearable. great room scent. edit: drydown is really wonderful, like a wet rum cake, but i still wouldn't wear it.
