Some flower in this is amping above the others, and I mainly just smell a lilac-y, violet-y fabric softener smell. I can almost smell the rose, it's very faint. I like florals normally, but this is just not one for me. Edited to make sense.

Did someone put Nyquil in this? It smells like medicine. And the longer it stays on, the more faded it gets. But ew.

This scent did strange, strange things to my skin. In the bottle it's surprisingly light. I can't smell the rum at all. On, I smell lilac, and something green and watery like celery. Er, maybe that's the palm? Not a bad scent, just not what I was expecting.
-
In the bottle it smells like men’s cologne, tangy spiciness. On the cologne fades a bit and the citrus is amped. Sharp citrus, reminds me of beach vacations when I was little. Citrus goes a little too sharp for the blend to be really balanced. I think this would smell exceptionally nice on the right person.

I can't believe this scent hasn't gotten more love! The flowers are present and tangible, but not too overwhelming. A very fresh scent for the most part...wildflowers and stems, with a soft muskiness about it. Pretty and light.

The imp smells very sweet. As it dries, it smells incensey and sweet, the fruits aren't distinct at all. Spicy...a nice, fairly complex scent.

It smells like an aquatic floral in the bottle, and on it smells like an Avon room freshener I remember as a kid. Cheap, overwhelming flowers. Not unpleasant, vaguely comforting because I remember my parents had this scent, but not what I was expecting.

In the bottle, it smells like a light floral and frankincense/agarwood. On, something turns into the eraser note I smell sometimes...it smells like that note, and some kind of non-descript sweetness. Over time it fades into a pleasant enough blend. It's ok.

This was runner-up from the great Salon Exhibit Two Imp Pack Test of the Great Forum Blackout of 2008. In the imp, it smelled like aquatic nailpolish. Ugh, I was sure I was going to hate it. But as it dries, it's amazing. It smells like a slightly boozy One to Tie, Two To Win: wildflowers and green stems, water. The booziness just makes it seem headier somehow, like being outside on a perfect, warm day, and feeling so amazing. This is a great blend.

In the imp, I smell high-pitched floral. On, it smells like a lighter version of Hairy Toad Lily. Purple flowers with a hint of greenness. Very unusual, and much more immediately likeable than HTL.
-
In the imp, it smells a bit foody to me...on it starts to smell like...pastry and cologne? Warm pie crust and a light unisex perfume scent. It's kinda nice, but it's not me.

Of all of the second series I tried out of the imp pack, THIS was the winner. Oh God was it ever! It was a somewhat masculine-unisex blend, a very multi-faceted leather cologne. A bit of sweet flowers. And it lasted for hours...toward the end it smelled like spicy leather soap, clean but really hot. Great scent, great staying power.

Love it in the imp, it smells like a light perfume, and the most perfectly balanced bunch of wildflowers. But on there’s a sharp citrusy smell that’s crowding out the other scents as it dries. Too bad, I really had high hopes for this one.

The Arrival at the Sabbath and Homage to the Devil
savage_rose replied to LittleGreyKitten's topic in The Salon
In the imp, it smells like spiced bread of all things. Maybe the sabbath was potluck . And it just gets spicier...it almost smells like there's ginger in there. It's spicy and rich and reminds me of food without being too foody. It's quite nice! -
In the bottle, I smell something sweet with something sharply bitter as an undercurrent. On, it's licorice. Licorice, licorice, and more licorice. Too bad I don't like licorice!
-
In the bottle, it smells metallic/aquatic, with a bit of stemmy greeness. On, it smells like honeyed florals, with a splash of fruit and gentle creaminess. Very pretty.
-
At first I can smell the vetiver and a light cologne. But without warning, the vetiver amps up and it becomes Vetiver Hell. Some vetiver scents work, some don't. This is the latter, unfortunately .

The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed With the Sun
savage_rose replied to edenssixthday's topic in Discontinued Scents
In the imp, it smells like bread. And as it dries...fried food. Chinese takeout? Then it disappears. Very strange! -
It mainly smells like unidentified flowers, with a streak of greenness. The berry is very frustrating, because the only way I can seem to smell it is to take a big whiff, and then as I exhale I smell it. Very strange! Hmmm...this is ok, not too sweet, not too green. But I don't smell enough berry, and it's pleasant enough but not spectacular. Oh well!

This smells like menthol and dirt. I kinda like it, I get the feeling that if I wore this out, people would be remarking, "What is that smell?" This IS what the stylish zombie will be wearing come the undead apocalypse.

Evidently my skin eats banana like it does, cherry, almond...only this time, it's a good thing. Not a banana fan really. This is a light floral with a lightly tangy note I can't recognize...tropical, but not overwhelmingly so. It's nice enough, although it's too light a scent for me.
-
At first I get a lovely rush of dragon's blood resin, and as it dries it fades to...nothing on me. Where did it go?
-
At first it smells like a lime eraser I had when I was little. Then the lime fades away a bit, and what's left is this crisp tangy sparkling booziness. Very soft, very crisp, and just sweet enough to be very pretty.

Sweet, delicious melon. But sweeter somehow, like melon candy, but without the fakiness.
-
A sweet, pretty floral...predominantly peony, but I can smell a bit of the tulip and grass. Really light and sweet, without being too sweet.
