in the bottle this smells like a buttery coconut-chocolate candy. on me, after drying down for a bit, it smells like a buttery candy... I can't quite figure out what. I can smell chocolate-orange and something a little spicy.

at first, this scent smells a little like tobacco smoke, but after it dries down it's a creamy vanilla. I had been hoping for a spicy vanilla, maybe with a little musk. bummer.

mmm... this is freshly turned earth in someone's sunny garden. on my skin, something funky comes into the background, so I will pass this decant along, but in the imp it's warm and, well, earthy.

I love the scent of apples. this is a big, juicy apple, lightly spiced. absolutely wonderful! [edit: 10/31] I'm wearing this today and am blown away by how it's changed in the weeks I've had it. before, it was gorgeous but faded on me quickly. now it has good staying power and is the scent of a delicious, spicy apple - not as demure as before. it's utterly fantastic and a perfect fall scent. I love this!

I was excited to try the legendary Smut - I've heard such great things about it. in the bottle it smells kind of boozy and musky, and I still smell that on my skin, but there's an additional sour smell to it - kind of like pee? ugh. I suppose it's good that I didn't fall in love with yet another LE, though. my bank account thanks me for that!

instead of getting the lovely orange creamsicle I'd been expecting after reading this thread, I got something dark and heavy that yelled SPICES! after about an hour I got the orange/vanilla, but it wasn't worth sitting through the initial scent. yow.

this is the new GC scent - I got an imp because I'd heard so much about it and wanted to try it for myself! in the bottle, it's coffee. I love the smell of coffee, but not the taste, so this is great. on me, it's more coffee, with something faintly plastic underneath. when it dries down it's a sweet, sugary coffee. not sure how much I'll wear this, but yum! I'm keeping the imp for sure.

this sounded like the most perfect, wonderful scent... I love carnations and plums, and chrysanthemum moon was lovely too, so I was thrilled to try it. there's an undertone of something plastic when I wear it, marring the rest of the spicy scent. I'm going to try it again in a week and see what happens. if it still smells plastic on me, I'm going to be heartbroken. [edit: 10/15/06] well, this isn't plastic on me anymore, but it does smell waxy... like a nice scented candle, as other people have said. I'm very sad, but that's the way things go sometimes!

the description for this one sounded delicious, so I was excited to try it. however, almonds amp terribly on my skin, and on my husband I just got a lot of smoke. not a winner for either of us.

in the bottle this smells amazing - it's a spicy warm pumpkin that makes me drool. on me, though... I get the same overly-buttery pumpkin that I had with Jack, and I smell a bit like a waxy scented candle. I'm going to try this one again in about a week or so, and if it still doesn't work, I'm going to figure out how to use it in an oil burner. it's beautiful, wonderful, and the perfect autumn scent as long as I'm not wearing it!

I opened up my little imp of this (I love decant circles), took a deep sniff, and said "yikes!" flowers like jasmine just don't work on me, and this one is full of jasmine and all its friends. I passed it on to a jasmine-loving friend so at least it has a good home.

lately I've been trying different blends on my husband; he's been very tolerant of it, knowing that he gets more cuddling if he smells really good. this smells like cedar on him, with something else I can't figure out. strangely, it smells a little citrusy; is that the cedar as well? I'm going to try this on him a few more times before I make up my mind about it - I've had a cold for the past couple of days and that might be influencing what I smell here.

this smells like gorgeous chocolate in the bottle, and once it's on my skin it continues to smell wonderful until it settles down. 10 or 15 minutes later there's a plastic undertone to it. I don't know if I'd want to smell like chocolate all day (I'd end up making myself very hungry), but this is delicious when it's not on me!

in the vial, this is a nice aquatic scent with light flowers. on me, it's soap... very nice floral soap, but soap nonetheless.

very pretty - a dark floral with something kind of spicy in the back. as it dries I can smell a little smoke.

this smells gorgeous in the imp - light, spicy milk; maybe chai? - but on me it's soap.

this smelled absolutely wonderful in the imp vial, and it smells pretty good on me too, but it's so faint... either I didn't put on enough or it fades on my skin (I've had another oil do that in the past). it's herbal and warm. I'd like to try this on my husband. I'm noticing that I get "warm" from scents that have resins in them, and I like this warmth, so I should start looking for scents with these notes.

this went on smelling very floral, but after a little while it became something deep and somewhat musky. it's warm and pretty. it's also a little green... it reminds me of the forest (probably the juniper and cypress).

this one is very nice - I had no idea what to expect from it. as I've said before, I'm horrible at picking out notes, but there's something warm in here. I can smell a little bit of the dirt (a note I'm finding that I like) and something kind of sweet. I'm definitely keeping the imp.

whew - this one's too floral for me! it does have a happy feel to it - under all the flowers there's a nice warm scent of something that I can't name.

chocolate! so much chocolate. yum. it smells a bit like those scratch-and-sniff stickers from when I was a kid when I wear it, but in the vial it's utterly delicious.

I was absolutely sure I'd love this scent - tea and vanilla? perfect! and while I do like it, it's almost too sweet for me. that's very strange since I generally like sweet scents. I got this imp in a swap and have another on the way from the lab (forgot about that...) so I'll hang on to one of them and swap the other.

I will admit that I wanted to try this scent simply because my hunter character in World of Warcraft's main pet is a hyena named Cerberus. it's a very strong citrus scent - it screams ORANGES in the imp and on my skin. after a little while I can smell cocoa coming out faintly in the background. very faintly. I'm not too big on fruity scents, so this poor little guy is headed for the swap pile.

my second CT bottle is MIC (or 1101). in the bottle it smells citrusy - lemon with something in the background that I can't put my finger on. it's bright and cheerful, very lovely! however, a few minutes after I put it on, I get soap. I need to figure out what that soapy note is - it's come up in a few other oils.

this smells like spice - it's a hot smell (if that makes sense). I also get a hint of cherry and maybe eucalyptus? once it's dried on my skin, the eucalyptus/medicinal scent explodes and that's about all I smell.
