    The Oblation

Yes! In bottle: tea, perhaps with lemon Wet: Herbal tea, herbal tea, la-la-la-la-la-love herbal tea! Blackberries- creamy sweet blackberries and honey. Honey often goes very nasty on me, but this is divine. The sweetness is very organic, not candy-like at all. It reminded my boyfriend of a peach, and once he pointed it out I could get peach from it, too. It's one of those truly alchemical scents wherein 2 or more notes combine to evoke a completely different note that's not actually there. Then it softens and gets deeper. It's still not what I'd call a subtle scent, but it's not overpowering at all. There's a green freshness underneath it all. This is damn good stuff. This is one of my new favorites; I'm trying to decide between ordering 1 or 2 more bottles.

    Aloof, detached scents?

Silence from the Salon. It's beautiful and delicate, but definitely not a warm scent. It makes me feel exactly as you described when I wear it.

    Czernobog

This was a frimp; the name wasn't even familiar to me. When first applied, I was reminded of Urd or Scherezade- both of which I love. Dark and musky, with that hippy-ish smell. Then it dried. And the predominate note became Bad Breath. Identical to stale, scary, old man lawyer breath (I'm a young woman lawyer, I can say such things). It's horror on my wrist. Washing off now.

The Fox-Woman Kuzunoha Leaving Her Child

When I first applied it, I spent several minutes trying to place the gorgeous scent it reminded me of- Lady of Shallot. Strange, because I don't think they have any notes in common. But wet, that's almost exactly what it smelled like on me. Once it dried, a spicier or woodsy scent came out- (maybe the teak?) that reminded me of Silk Road. I wish I got Lush's Youki-Hi out of it, but I don't get much jasmine at all here.

    Morocco

This was the first scent I bought a bottle of- my very first BPAL love. It's still easily in my top three. The number one reason: it instantly puts me at the Texas Renaissance Festival, where I spent some of the most happiest moments of my adolescence. It's a very intriguing scent, making one want to follow it down dusty bazaar alleyways. I hear drums when I wear it, and see dark eyes framed by chain mail. It's feminine and spicy at the same time, with a very sexy sweetness. It lingers a good while on me, and my skin eats oil up.

    Sea of Glass

I made sure to get a 10mL of this before the big bottles went away. It's clean, but not simple. I get a kind of soft sweetness, almost a fruity feel behind the initial sharp purity. It's really beautiful, and a scent that I wear just for me.

    Mouse's Long and Sad Tale

In the imp, the vanilla smelled amazing. But when I put it on, I didn't get any vanilla at all, only a vague, sweet floral. When it dried down to the same plastic weirdness that Smut gives me, this Mouse made me very sad indeed.
