This is what it says on the tin. Fig forward with saffron peeking through on the dry down. Its a heady scent, but I can see it being perfect for warm summer nights.

Fresh out of the mail, this is much lighter and more floral than I expected, i'm not really picking up the musk or truffle (I expect these will come with time). The reminds me a lot of Mother Ghost from Crimson peak with a darker edge. Its a gorgeous well rounded floral with a hint of vanilla and a background hum of silk. I have no idea how Beth does it but this smells honestly smells like a silk flower!!

I finally upgraded to a bottle! Wet - This is very Shea butter heavy on me, with the barest hint of coconut. Dry - The shea is still strong, the aquatics coconut are coming through to give a clean holiday vibe to it. This is the perfect summer scent for me! My partner is a fan and thinks it smells like Kew Gardens!

Wet - Complex sugared lavender blend. Dry - There is something unique coming out of this, my ameture nose isn't sure what it is, maybe it's the bergamot?! but I'm liking it. It's pretty low throw, would make a great sleep scent. I'm not mad I blind bottled this, but the one bottle will suffice.

Whoa, first up... Wet - Thick, almost cloying honey with a light musk backdrop. Dry - Pretty similar to the wet stage but the honey has had a chance to smooth out a little. Overall - More honey and less skin musk than I was expecting. Pretty close to the skin as you would expect. I get Ivory Vulva (without the creamy nuttiness) / Lovers and a Fan (without the coconut) vibes of this, like they all chillaxing at the same beach bar without a care in the world.

2007 Recieved as a Frottle from the lab, definitely something I would NEVER have considered, but oh man am I glad this guy was in my package! I'm not into foodie scents at all and generally avoid anything with "cake" as a listed note, but I get the most amazing earthy fruity scent rounded out with pillowy sweetness (its not cakey per say, but the atmosphere of a farmhouse kitchen while baking cakes) and a hint of winey grape at the end. The resins keep this grounded enough for me to love it. To me this is hygge in a bottle and I can't wait for a cool autumn day to crack this out.

Fresh out of the mail. Wet - Heavy on the rose, almost SN red rose to me, this is soooo close to becoming powder but never quite gets there. Its very reminiscent of the "old lady rose" I was hoping to avoid. Dry down - There is something pulling this out of "old lady rose" territory, not sure what it is, but I'm guessing it's the oud. I get no honey from this, was really hoping for a sugared black rose, but instead it's freshly cut red roses with the faintest hint of woody oud. I'm far from convinced I need to keep my bottle but I'll give it a chance to settle and see if some early aging can give the honey/spice/oud to wake up.

Almost overpowering vetiver in the imp, but I braved a skin test. Kinda reminds me of being in a gym locker room with that grey plastic floor with raised circles and then driving to the tip with mulching garden waste in the boot. Overall quiet green and a bit Woody with an undertone of mulch/gym floor. I think I'll let my imp go a new home!

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume
lozenlady replied to Ina Garten Davita's topic in Recommendations
I am looking to get my mum some BPAL, her favourite perfume is "Paris" by Herve Leger, the note are The scent opens with the sparkling, fruity notes of Chinese osmanthus flower, water jasmine and black currant blossom. The soft purple orchid and the rich, feminine scent of matthiola follow. A voluptuous fusion of heliotrope, vanilla and precious sandalwood finish. I wonder if you wonderful BPALers have any ideas of close BPAL oils that she would enjoy. Thanks -
