In the vial this is a heavenly sweet apricot scent backed gently by cloves - so lovely! Wow, on my skin it switches completely, and becomes a clove backed by an almost bubblegum-like sweet apricot fruitiness! After a few hours it becomes a soft and delicate breath of apricot sweetness on my skin...

A lovely sweet and deeply complex scent of floral with a deeper, deady base of deliciousness; it's too hard to pick out notes, as they are all blended together so well. On my skin, it takes on a slight, sweet powdery note which blends well with the base, turning it into a lighter sweetness swirled with velvety darkness - lovely! After a few hours it is quite a soft scent, settling down to a delicate chocolate sweetness lingering on my skin.
-
In the vial, it smells like a deeply spiced dark chocolate, almost like a heady dark chocolate chai with tons of spice, if such a thing would exist! On my skin, it becomes a much more subtle blend of chocolate, spice and orange with a hint of sweetness; quite lovely in fact. After a while of occasionally smelling lovely spiced orange wafting up from my skin, the orange fades to reveal a lovely fruity sweetness left on my skin, like sugared fruit pieces. It certainly is one lovely, morphing scent!

In the bottle, this smells like a complex but utterly lovely chocolate mint! On my skin the mint comes out strongly, reminding me of an after dinner mint - soft, juicy white mint cream wrapped in the thinnest layer of dark chocolate - swimming over the top of something deeper. After a number of hours, what I thought was chocolate has died down and changed into a soft vanilla laced with mint. Mmm.

In the bottle, this is a deliciously sweet and floral scent, with a deep complexity to it - maybe it's the name, but it is how the royal purple would smell if it were a scent rather than a colour. On my skin, a bright and piercing note comes through and lightens the scent, becoming more of a fuity floral, the scent becoming more like mauve than royal purple (if that makes any sense). After a few hours it fades to a soft scent, much closer to the original scent in the bottle, though obviously much softer, more subtle and slightly powdery. Yes, it is a very purple scent! Lovely!

In the vial this is a sweet and spicy mix rather complex, dark and delicious overlaying a deep musky scent. On my skin, a fruity scent starts to come through over the top of a musky amber, amping the deliciousness of this scent. After a few hours, the fruit and musk disappear and the scent becomes a sweet vanilla amber; lovely and feminine but very soft and subtle.
-
This is a lovely deep rounded musky scent in the vial, dark, gentle and encompassing. This changes into a much brighter, and almost woody, musky amber on my skin, still lovely yet quite different. After a few hours it seems to round out even further and the wood-like note becomes much a smoother amber musk - delightfully smooth.

In the vial, this is a very strong and sticky caramel, not particularly sweet, reminding me somewhat of sticky date pudding! On my skin, a dark fruit scent comes out from the deep dessert scent, strong and delicious. After a few hours it fades to a semi-sweet dark vanilla scent, a lot more subtle than the original scent, and quite nice regardless.

In the vial, this is a sweet, bright, light and fruity scent - so juicy it's delicious! On my skin it becomes richer and deeper, a sweet boozy note calming down the almost bubblegum-like juiciness of the fruit scents making it a more rounded, yet still delicious, scent. After a few hours the fruity scent fades, leaving a soft breath of sweet scent on my skin.

Yum! In the bottle, this is a delicious, sweet berry and sugared cream mix; a lovely dessert that makes me think of summer. On my skin, a cool scent comes out, watering the scent so that the fruit becomes a lovely sugary fruit juice. After a few hours it settles to a soft, sweet and almost creamy berry scent on my skin, so lovely! Its throw is so long I can even smell it the next morning, and it is every bit as delicious.

In the bottle, this has a very strong scent of sweet cocoa or dark chocolate, darker than that of Bliss. This becomes sweeter on my skin - it smells just like a milk chocolate version of Bliss, with a backing of Snake Oil in the background; yum! After a few hours this is a lovely sweetly musk Snake Oil (minus the pink musk stick scent) that has been softened by the rice milk, smelling vaguely reminiscent of the French chocolate candy I sometimes make for Christmas. Just lovely!

In the bottle, it is a sweet vanilla with a hint of sweet pea florals in the background - the scent is quite unusual but lovely. On my skin, it becomes a warmer vanilla scent, swimming with amber and sweet pea as they come to the fore. After a few hours it is a soft and almost powdered vanilla sugar on my wrist - quite delicate and pretty.

Wow, this is an amazing scent in the bottle! On opening, there is a strong wave of fruity, sweet and utterly lovely sweetness from the bottle, somewhat reminiscent of bubble gum. On my skin, however, the vanilla comes out to play with the juicy fruit scent of the pear, softening the fruit until it becomes a subtle combination of cool, sweet deliciousness. The scent continues to fade and meld over time, becoming a very soft sugared vanilla. This needs refreshed fairly frequently as this lovely, delicious scent fades too quickly!

In the vial, this is a bright and light scent, reminding me somewhat of Ahathoor - a golden sunlit scent, warm and lovely. On my skin, a spiciness appears from amongst the golden scent, and it becomes a little sweeter and a little woodsy as it warms. After a few hours, the woodsy scent calms and it becomes a warm, spicy golden scent, almost incense-like, on me. It certainly smells golden, just like its name sake - aureus is Latin for gold!

From the vial it is a stringent woody note - pure vertiver! On my skin it changes to a somewhat unpleasant scent as my skin chemistry fights the vertiver and violet - a number of violet scents turn bad on my skin, sadly; though I can detect a hint of it's licentiousness as it somehow reminds me of what a wet satyr might smell like - manly, yet with a wet dog smell from his fur! After a few hours on my skin, this calms down and becomes a soft and quickly fading version of its former self; quite nice and subtle by this point, but it is is also practically gone.

Ooh, this is different from the last Beaver Moon! It's got the butterscotchy caramel smell mixed with a deep berry scent, almost like strawberry fudge! On my skin, this becomes a sweet, juicy caramel; a lot smoother than the scent from the vial, and somewhat lighter with a lovely sweetness. After a few hours, it turns into a sweet strawberry sugar on my skin... very different from the original, but still nice none the less.

In this bottle this is a deep, dark and sticky scent - very complex and hard to pin any particular notes down; though there are some florals amongst the heavy stickiness. On my skin it is a deep sugar, almost like brown sugar and molasses, though there are hints of sweeter florals behind it, almost like a delicate boquet sitting next to a bowl of brown sugar, with maybe some juicy fruit scents peeking through. After a few hours, it becomes quite delicate and lovely - a very light musky sweetness with a few juicy sweet notes lingering. Gorgous.

What does Samhain layered with Tombstone smell like?

Thanks! ...Now I've got Luperci on one wrist, Hexennacht on the other, Morgause on the back of one hand, and Nemesis on the back of the other! Now to hope I don't get hopelessly confused by the scents, and decide what I like out of them before getting ready for tonight! . . . Boo. Lupreci is getting the 'fuzzies' (oakmoss?) instead of sexy .... is there something to layer with it to make it more sexy and less mossy?
-
What would you recommend for a 'sexy witch' costume for tonight's Halloween party? It's a little late to buy some, but this is what I have. Hexennacht? Morgause?

In the bottle, this is a sweet, high and lovely scent; not just a plain sweetness, but a mix of deliciousness with a tang of citrus and green things - very nice. On my skin the ginger and herbs starts to come through as the scent warms up, floating on top of a much more complex sweetness that is almost hidden behind it - it soon fades and a sugared vanilla comes to the fore of a now very lovely scent. After a few hours it becomes a nice vanilla musk with hints of its other flavours underneath. Just lovely!

In the vial this is a rich, sweet and almost bubblegum-like scent that makes it hard to detect any specific notes - it's delightful, syrupy and juicy. On my skin it becomes less bubblegum-like, and a more complex blend, though it still remains sweet there is a note of something darker and more edgy coming through. After a few hours it becomes a sweet amber filled with a softer version of its former juiciness.

Sweet pea with stargazer lily, calla lily, heliotrope, honeysuckle, white musk and a touch of fresh pear. This is a light and complex, yet not too sweet floral scent in the vial. On my skin, the floral becomes deeper, with a slight fruity musk note warming it slightly. After a few hours it becomes a lovely, soft and sweet light floral-filled musk.
-
In the vial, this is a warm, rounded ambery musk scent, thick and lovely. On my skin it changes and the warmth is cut through with a strong leather scent shot through with sharp myrrh, though the musk comes out to round the scent after a little while. After a few hours it becomes a much softer scent, like a warm musk with a hint of leather beneath it.

From the vial, this is a cool, high and somewhat syrupy scent, and rather hard to describe. On my skin, however, the pine comes out to play from amongst the syrup as the scent warms, before it fades and the scent becomes rounded with musk. After a few hours, the musk becomes much more subtle, with an ever so slight tartness behind it all. After the pine scent fades, it reminds me a lot of Morocco.
