The Apothecary: In the imp, a strong herbally grass smell. On my skin......... huh, I didn't know I liked moss & grass. It's really refreshing without being too grassy. I detect the slight sharpness of the ginger and the sweetness of the fig, it's a great combo! Over time, it mellows out but stays clean & crisp. Can't wait to use it in the spring time!

The Brides of Dracula: In the bottle I smell honeyed florals and somethin sweet. On my skin, it's very light and soft. I get floral spices, honey, & musk. The scent is sheer, feminine, and graceful. It stays mostly sweet and musky with the spices fading after awhile, but a soft amber becomes present after some time. It's a beautiful scent but it doesn't last as long as I'd like it to. Loves it anyway!!

Melpomene: In the vial, a slightly dark and minty lavender. On my skin, thank goodness the mintyness doesn't linger for too long. It becomes flowery, perhaps the geranium & orange blossom, but the lavender stays constant. It's kind of a dark & melancholy scent to me.... not very uplifting. It's a nice scent... I just don't want to feel dreary when I wear it. I really like the Bulgarian lavender in it though.

Created to invoke the ancient Greek deities of dreams. On the shores of the ocean, somewhere in the West, they dwell behind their gates of horn and ivory. Soporific, dark, and unfathomable: a somnambular blend of deep lavender, white sandalwood, jasmine, bergamot and mugwort. In the vial, its very sharp... must be the lavender & the bergamot. On my skin, I mostly get sharp lavender and soft jasmine. It seems to stay on my skin longer than the other sleep blends I've tried. Eh, but I think the bergamot in this might be killin' it for me. It's just too strong for me.[/font]

Temple of Dreams In the vial, soft floral and herbaly lavender. On my skin, not at all medicinal or sharp. It's a very lovely and relaxing scent. I've gotten into the habit of dabbing my eye mask, near the nose part, so I can drift off to sleep. This is my favorite so far out of the sleep blends I've tried.

Nuit: Ahh Nuit, in the vial it's overwhelmingly floral... On my skin, I get mostly jasmine and some moonflower. It dries down to a jasminey perfumey musk that I kinda like. It's not on my must-have big bottle list but I'll keep the imp and use it when I feel super girly.

Niflheim: Argh... I get plasticky men's cologne from this one.
-
The Great Sword of War: What a bummer. I love tonka, but this blend just ain't for me. Smells like some Thai dish, but I don't know which one. I get lemongrass from this. Weeeird!

Chrysanthemum Moon: I couldn't resist this description so I'm really happy I ordered multiple bottles of this. In the bottle, its frikken glorious. Mums, ginger, and opium smoke are my first impressions. On my skin, the floral seems to dissipate and I mostly get some ginger, LOTS of opium smoke, and some red musk. It's right up my alley. After an hour or so, the opium smoke and musk are still present (the ginger fades a bit, although I wish it didn't) and it smells warm, soft, and creamy. My roommate says it reminds him of his grandma though... boooo. But I get over it when I smell my wrists.

Et Lux Fuit: Hm, I love every stage of this blend and fortunately this is a floral that doesn't turn to soap on me. Its citrusy and I smell sunflower + carnation most on my skin. After awhile it turns into a gorgeous creamy, slightly powdery, and glows with the vanilla musk in the background. Overall, I just love this bright and sunny blend.

Anyone say Mouse's Long and Sad Tale? It's my melancholy rainy day scent... its very comforting and makes me feel like curling up and snuggling... heh. But I like Dublin as a rainy day earthy scent.

Yup, Morocco for me too.

Pride- Wooooo! This one's a doozy. It's very sharp at first sniff and stays sharp all during the wet phase. The rose tempers the narcissus a bit but it still screams LOOK AT ME, cuz you can smell it a mile away. Lots of throw. The drydown is alot less sharp and alot more bearable for me. This is nice once it gets through the wet phase. I don't know how often I'll wear this, but I'll keep the imp for sure.

Antique Lace- I got this as a frimp from the lab. This is so soft and feminine. It kind of reminds me of an un-honeyed Dana O'Shee and reminiscent of Morrocco as well. It's very creamy, feminine and soft... I want my undergarments to smell like this all the time!

Frumious Bandersnatch This was a frimp from the lab and I'm so happy I have it my hands! In the imp it smells a bit spicy, musky, and fruity. On me, wow, bold plum! This one was a total surprise, I never would have picked it out for myself but I have to say that this goes really well with my skin chem. It's mildly floral, fruity, spicy, and musky! Everything I like in one blend! I might want a big bottle when the imp is finished.

Aizen-Myoo In the imp, I get tangy citrus right away. On me, yummy and sharp grapefruit. After awhile the scent becomes more round and less... pungent, it becomes slightly flowery and the black tea really puts this blend in check. It's a very bold scent on me but it becomes softer towards the end of the day. It smells pretty and uplifting.

Madrid In the imp it smells soooo goood. On me, ahh even better. I love Beth's wine scents, they smell so sexy! I get wafts of a beautiful mix of red wine and mimosa at first and about half an hour later clove grounds it all out. I didn't even know I liked clove, I haven't tried too many of Beth's oils with clove though! I love it in this blend anyway. It's sweet, slightly fruity, and sexy. I wouldn't where it everyday though, I can see myself using this at a dinner party or somethin... I likes it!

Shango: In the imp, I smell very dark sweetness and fruitiness. On my skin, mainly fruits (apples, bananas, pineapples...) but I get a hint of that chili pepper in the background, it gives it an interesting kick but makes my nose itchy! This one's a toss up, I like fruity scents but I'm not sure if I like Shango so much.

Mouse's Long and Sad Tale- I fell in love with this instantly. This is simple, soft, and so beautiful. All the notes blend so nicely together, without muscling each other out in the forefront. I like that the amber and sandalwood keeps the vanilla from being too foody. The dry down is a gorgeous creamy vanilla and sandalwood. I can't stop smelling myself, its so comforting.

Eris- A frimp from the lab, thank you thank you! I've been dying to try this and its been on my wishlist for awhile now. In the imp: Really strong in the vial, very fruity and fresh. On me: Ahhh, fuity AND floral. I smell mimosa here and there but its not a main player. This is what I wanted The Hanging Gardens to smell like, its really close to it actually... to my nose anyway. Eris suits me much better tho. Grrr if only I got that 10ml of Eris when I had the chance!!
-
Malice- In the imp, the smell expressed is darkness and malice. I detect the ylang ylang right off. Once it dries down the patchouli, myrhh, and ylang blend really well together. I don't know if I'll get a big bottle yet, cuz all the LEs are occupying my attention, but this imp is definitely a keeper.

Imp: I can smell the coconut and rum booziness right away. On me: The best morph ever!! Coconut and rum show first and dries down to a perfect blend of the top notes and then I smell tobacco as the base note. Lasts all day too! Overall: Love at first sniff. Rich, creamy, and tropical! I'm anxiously awaiting the big bottle order.

I got this as a frimp from the lab, thanks so much!! I would have totally overlooked this! Imp: Hmm, definitely amber. On me: Ridiculously awesome blend of amber and musk. My skin chem totally agrees with musk, so I'm lovin this! I don't detect any lemony wafts though. Oh well, I love it the way it is! Overall: Definitely will be in my fall/winter rotation. Hopefully my big bottle comes just in time for the season! 10/10 for me!
-
Imp: Grapefruit, citrusy and fruity On me: Yummy grapefruit at first, after awhile the musk and lavender is in the lead. Lasts all day on me Overall: I love the citrusy fruity smell, it totally lifts my mood! The musk is nice but I much prefer the top notes. I give it a 7 or 8 out of 10

Imp: true to its description. Oatmeal, honey and milk! On me: Whoa, just like Lush snowcake. Hmm, doesn't last so long on my skin. Sweet almond! I like it enough to hold onto the imp, no desperate need for a big bottle though.
