  1. Japanese black pine, clove husk, and honeyed oudh. I can't resist tree atmos, but since I already ordered a full bottle of Excessively Cheerful Christmas Tree Lot during the Yule update, I decided to just get a 1oz decant of this one. The black pine note is the dominant note here, backed by the clove husk and a bit of honey. The oudh note comes out more after it has settled for a while, but it's not a stanky oudh, fortunately. The pine, while softer at this point, remains the star of the show. This is a nice spiced pine and resin atmo. I don't need to upgrade to a bottle, but I'll certainly be hanging on to my decant. I definitely recommend this one for pine fans.

    Frostbitten Malice

This was all pine-y snow on me, the same snow note found in scents like Frostbitten Zombi, NYC Snowball Fight, Snow Bunny, and Marshmallow Snow Bath Oil. Unfortunately, that is all that I get from this. The notes from Malice don't come out on me at all. They're all buried far beneath the pine-laden snow. I'm really surprised that Malice's clove didn't show up on me!

    Tumbling Over a Ghost

This starts out with the pine, ivy, and dirt being the strongest notes on me, with the green notes being more prominent than the dirt. The candle wax really is just a dribble; it joins in once the scent is dry and adds a light sweetness to the scent that I really enjoy. The moss and dirt notes gain strength on me over time and end up being the dominant notes on me after several hours of wear, making me think of Zombi without the rose. The candle wax, ivy, and evergreen notes are still present, but they remain background players. I skipped Weenies in 2016 when I was living in Germany, but if I had ordered a bottle of this, I would not have been disappointed. I'll be hanging on to my decant.

    Petite Planchette

Petite Planchette is primarily a honeyed resin blend on me. I agree with Missanneshirleyofgg that there is something in this similar to The Magician's Wand (perhaps the polished woods), but this has honey instead of The Magician's Wand unlisted vanilla musk note. The honey, frankincense, and polished woods are the strongest notes on me. Unfortunately, it ends up going sour on me after a while, which I suspect is due to the honey note. It was pretty nice before it turned, though, so I am going to put this aside and retest it just in case it was a hormonal fluke.

    The Snack Hut

Cherry slushie gives way to cherry chapstick on me. It has an unfortunate, plastic-y undertone on me. The plastic ends up going away after a while, reverting back to just cherry slushie. It was nice to be able to try this, but I just cannot deal with the plastic-y chapstic phase of the scent, so I will be passing it on to someone who will hopefully have better luck with this.

    Cacao & Clove

In the vial, I smell the cocoa along with the clove, but on me, it is mostly CLOVE with a little bit of cocoa lingering in the background. This is a dusty, yet sweet clove, not as bold as black clove, and not cinnamon-ed like the Indonesian Clove SN. I think this is nice, but I am glad that I did not leap for a bottle of it when I already have Sweet Clove SN.

    Miss Forcible

I tried The Other Miss Forcible year's ago, without having gotten to try the original scent first, so I was interested in seeing how the two compare. While The Other Miss Forcible smelled like sticky buns in a cobweb-strewn old lady's house, the original scent smells like an old woman that has just come home from a night out at the theater. She has adorned herself with an array of fabrics and doused herself liberally in a classic floral musk to ensure her presence is noticed whenever she enters a room. She invites you into her home, and as she throws off her scarf, you can smell the perfume on it as it flies through the air and crumples onto the couch. She sits across from you in a tall, old chair and tells you to help yourself to the candy that's sitting in a glass jar on the table. When you go to open the jar, you notice that there's a layer of dust on it, and all of the hard candy within is stuck together. You manage to pry one candy away from its brethren and pop it in your mouth, but alas! It is licorice-flavored! You make yourself eat it because you are determined to be polite, but the scent of the anise along with the strong musk is a little too much for you. She extends an invitation for tea next week, which you gladly accept, because she's a really nice lady, and you enjoy chatting with her, even though you wish she'd apply her perfume with a lighter hand. You decide that next time, you'll forego the candy jar and bring over some baked goods for the occasion. Miss Forcible's fragrance perfectly befits her character, although the anise and musk combo are not for me.

    Theáomai

This is predominantly a chocolate scent. The chocolate chip cookie note reads to me like hot cocoa more than anything else, and it is the star throughout the show. I get a bit of fizzy soda from this after a few hours of wear, but I was never able to pick out any pretzels or caramel corn. I think this is nice, but I am not sure how often I would reach for it over my other cocoa scents.

    Books

Books features a soft leather note with vanillic, tonka-sweetened pages that become sweeter on me with wear. I agree that this is a fresh book scent, not that of an ancient, dusty tome. This is one of those book scents where the pages are not completely overpowered by the leather, and for that, I am thankful. This is really lovely. If you like The Book from the Paranorman line, you may like Books as well (due to the page to leather ratio... but they are not the same scent). I think I need more of this. Thank you to the kind soul that sent me a sample of this after I missed out on a bottle.

    The Lurid Library

Year unknown. I'm always down to try a book scent, but alas, this one was not very bookish to me, either in the vial, or on the skin. It mostly read as cologne with a poof of powdery musk, but the incense aspect became more noticeable over time. I wish I had gotten the old books scent that some other reviewers experienced! This is not for me, but I'm really glad I got to try it, and I'm looking forward to trying the pumpkin patch variant from this year's Weenies.

    Bourbon Vanilla & Yellow Carnation

I get both of the notes in this duet. Bourbon vanilla can sometimes refuse to show up on me, but that isn't the case here. It's a soft, spiced vanilla scent, with aspects reminding me of Loved to Death and French Vanilla SN. While there is some spice to this, it isn't the burn-y kind, and it is less spiced than the Lab's red carnation note. It also stays close to the skin. I think it's nice, but a little too soft for me.

    Crumpled Wrapping Paper

This really does smell like crumpled wrapping paper, but with some cucumber thrown into the mix. It has strong throw and longevity, and ends up becoming more powdery with a resinous touch over time. I don't think I would choose to wear this as a perfume, but it is certainly a scent experience!

    Thirteen (13): September 2019

I wish I got as much lavender from this as the other reviewers! On me, it was ylang ylang dominant, followed by the citrus-y litsea cubeba and king mandarin, but over time, the citrus calmed down and it mostly ended up being a strongly floral, herbal scent. The lavender was not distinct on me because the ylang ylang was SO LOUD on my skin. I'm glad I got to try it, but I don't think I would reach for this 13.

    Lime & White Musk

WHITE MUSK and lime. Seriously, this is mostly white musk with a squeeze of lime on me. It stays close to the skin. I was hoping for more lime.
  15. doomsday_disco

    Health Goth

On me, this is all about the white incense and lavender for the first few hours, backed by the juniper berry and bergamot. Over time, the bergamot increases with strength, and it ends up becoming a bergamot-laced incense on me. I'm going to keep my decant, but I don't need a bottle of this one.

    Virgos Love Power Tools

In the vial, and for about the first hour or so, I thought this was going to be a win for me. It's this lovely lavender paired with the terebinth and amber of Schwarzer Mond, some sawdust, and just a bit of motor oil. But then... the rusty nail note emerged, and it became sharp on me, and I amped it to the point that it mostly became metallic cologne with some lavender. Curse you, skin chemistry!

    She Sauntered Vaguely Downwards

So. Red musk very rarely works on me. It generally tends to stomp all over everything else in a blend with my skin chemistry. But I got this anyways, because GOOD OMENS, and because of the cotton candy. Well... this, along with Crowley, are two scents that contain red musk that actually work on me! The red musk is present, but doesn't drown out the other notes. The cotton candy is distinct. The pink pepper lurks behind the other notes and seems to be the variety from High-Strung Daisies and Jiggery Pokery. I did not get the brimstone, but maybe it would be noticeable during a full day test. This is mostly a musky, sugary sort of scent. AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WORKS ON ME. I am going to give it a full day of wear before the Liliths depart to decide if I need to upgrade to a bottle (and to make sure that my initial test was not a fluke).

    Saturday Morning

I get a big blast of lemongrass at first with some dandelion behind it. Once the lemongrass starts to calm down, the coconut milk takes its place, and it becomes a predominantly coconut scent on me for a while, backed by some lemongrass and amber. After a few hours, the amber becomes one of the main players on me as the coconut and lemongrass take up supporting roles. I didn't get any lavender from this, sadly. This is a nice summery type of scent, perfect for those that love coconut and lemongrass. That's not really my thing, though, and since I was hoping for more lavender, grass, and dandelion, I don't think I'll hold on to my decant.

    Lazy Daisy

Lazy Daisy is a very clean scent. The cotton is the star of the show throughout wear, and while the tea is noticeable and realistic, it is strongest when freshly applied, as the cotton just seems to increase in strength over time with my skin chemistry. If you're a fan of the Lab's laundry/linen scents, this one is for you. But if you are hoping for lots of tea, it just can't compete with the cotton note.

    Lilith's First Concert

I was hoping this would be the lavender and lime scent that Envy wasn't on me, but alas, it is mostly lemony white tea and lime on my skin backed by some white musk and a bit of Dorian. I didn't really get the lavender, either. It's mostly a citrusy cologne type of scent on me. Not bad, but not really what I was hoping for.

    Dragon Snack

Please treat this as an impression rather than a review, as I did not test this one on my hair -- I just sprayed it once on a paper towel, since I haven't had time to give hair gloss its normal two day test (once on wet hair, once on dry) as of late. This was mostly a soft, red patchouli backed by some sandalwood and moss to my nose. I was here for the beeswax, but I couldn't detect it at all. It kind of has a bookish sort of feel to it, like the pages of an old book instead of the book's binding, but it lacks the sweetness that those sorts of scents typically have despite the bourbon vanilla and beeswax notes listed in the description. I didn't keep it because I know I'll always reach for Revenant Rhythm when I am wanting a patchouli-dominant hair gloss. This is kind of like a clean patchouli scent (thanks to the sandalwood and moss), and I was hoping for a little more sweetness.

    Cat-Lilith and Cat-Dad

Cat-Lilith and Cat-Dad has more red velvet cake to it than Senator Barrial (which was more frosting), but the buttercream frosting is the star here for a while, before the coconut cream joins in and it becomes all coconut cream and butter on me. This one was a gamble due to the coconut cream, and it did not pay off. I would have enjoyed this more if it hadn't contained the coconut cream note.

    Bread Lumps

I get more bread in the decant than on my skin. On my skin, the honey is constantly the star, but it's a soft, non-heady variety of honey. I get more bread in the beginning than over time, as I am apparently amping the honey note, but it is a nice sort of honey (I agree that it may be a wildflower honey) with a bit of fluffy bread behind it. I think this is nice, but not something I need a full bottle of.

    Gnome Ruckus

Gnome Ruckus has taught me that I don't like licorice in my perfume whatsoever, whether it be red licorice or the real thing. This is 99.9% red vines on me and 0.1% popcorn. I never got any cream soda, because the red vines never wanted to calm down. If you like the cherry licorice from Family Resemblance, you might enjoy this one. I was so hoping for some cream soda.

    Boots

I fucking love Boots. I wanted to try this because I, too, love wearing boots with everything all of the time. But I didn't think this would actually work on me. I just thought it would be an interesting, atmospheric sort of lavender blend, something that might work well as a room scent, but would not be that nice on my skin. Well, I was wrong! It does start off with a blast of lavender, sawdust, and grass, with some wood chips thrown in for good measure. The leather ends up peeking out later and becomes the dominant note on me, and it's the same leather note found in Outlaw. So if you love the leather in that one, you should totally try Boots. I could not stop sniffing my arm. I'm going to have to grab a bottle of this before it goes away.
