Shannihilation

In the imp this is definitely dandelions and booze. But it's also a clean smell. Bright and sunny. The booze note is very crisp and clear. On my skin it's sweet and clean. The dandelions really come out and the booze fades just a bit and gets softer. This makes me think of a romantic picnic in the middle of a field on a sunny day. Finishing off a bottle of wine and making out on the blanket... I need a bottle of this.

In the bottle this actually smells like lime to me. Fresh lime. But I'm guessing it is actually the lemon flower. On my skin, the lime (lemon flower?) fades into the background and the opium smoke takes over blending with the vanilla and coconut. I really don't get any floral from this at all, which is fine with me. I like this alot more than I expected to! Definitely a keeper.

In the bottle, this is the smell of having random heat of the moment sex in the mud after a spring rain. Seriously. It's dirty, and raw, and yet underneath there is something sweet and delicate. And on my skin it's exactly the same. It was a little overpowering at first (note to self: do not slather this one) but now that it's been on for a bit it's fabulous. And it still makes me think the same thing. Sex in the mud. Wet fresh dirt, water, and that underlying sweetness that is at the base of the immediate passion. God, I love this. I may actually have to find another bottle. Wow. This is like Destroying Angel's lecherous uncle. Yummy....

In the bottle this is all smokey roses. It's very incensey. I wasn't too sure about this when I smelled it in the bottle. I've had it on for about an hour now (I try to wait that long before I do a "dry" review) and it's still a smokey rose scent. It's nice. Not too strong but it has a nice throw I think. The rose is very pretty and I love the way it winds in and out of the woods and smoke. I think this one just might be a keeper. It's unusual but appealing.

In the bottle this is all pine and smoke with just the barest hint of the sarsaparilla. Om my skin so far it has stayed pretty true to that and I've had it on for an hour now. Pine is definitely the dominant note. And the tobacco smoke. Those two are at the very front. I can pick out the almond milk and the sarsaparilla in the background though. I'm hoping that the the almond milk will come forward a little more and smooth out the scent a bit more. The pine is a little overwhelming. I'm undecided about my feelings for this one. I can't quite decide if I like it or not.

I can't really pick out any of the individual notes in the bottle. It's just... sweet. Very sweet. It stays pretty true to that on my skin as well. I've had this on for about an hour now and it's a very sweet floral with an edgy undertone that I'm assuming is the dark musk. Every once in awhile a hint of the vanilla bean comes wafting by to say hello and smooth it all out. This is a nice blend but I don't love it as much as I loved Theo.

OMG I am in love. This is incredible. In the bottle I can pick out the vanilla bean and the jasmine leaf. And an almost "foody" kind of scent. It's rich but not overpowering. On my skin it's even better. Wow. Vanilla and jasmine and Earl Grey... the musk adds a nice subtle "sexy" tone. I have no idea what a fougere is so I can't say much about that. The vanilla is definitely the prominent note but it's a deep vanilla, not a sweet foody one. I can't even say enough about this. It is fabulous. Seriously. I am so in love with this blend. I can't stop sniffing my wrists....

In the imp this is very deep and rich. Spicy and sweet. On my skin it's earthy with a very prominent "dirty" tone. I think that's the patchouli. It has this underlying sweetness though that I'm guessing is the amber. It takes the bite out of the patchouli and smoothes it a bit. Sin is such a fitting name for this blend. It's deep and rich and "dirty" and the sweet tone gives a promise of other things to come if you'll go just a bit further...

Plumeria. Definitely Plumeria. I don't know if I like that or not. I was hoping it would be more of an ozone sort of scent. It is very light and breezy and clean smelling though. It's pleasant, I'm just not sure it's for me...

In the bottle it's all milk and pepper. Lots of pepper. And it stays pretty true to that when I put it on as well. Milk and pepper with just a hint of the tea peeking through. Now though I've had it on for about an hour. The pepper is still the strongest note but I can sniff out the tea, honey, and vanilla. The milk stays just under the surface and takes some of the edge off of the pepper. It's nice but I don't know that it will be a favorite or a bottle that I'll reach for often. I was really hoping for more tea, milk, and honey. But the pepper just overpowers it all.

This is what I hoped for with Monsterbait Closet. I wasn't sure at first, because while it's wet, this smells spicey somehow and not very foody or even sweet at all. But now that it's been on for awhile? It's amazing. White cake, currants, and just a little bit of vanilla. I ordered this without ever smelling it. I'm so glad that I followed my hunch and that it was right. I smell completely edible. Go on, eat me. *grins*

Yuck. This goes all powdery, girly, sweetness on me. And it's STRONG! My skin is amping it way up. I'm heading up to shower soon so I can wash it off. It's a nice blend but definitely not for me.

I love this. In the bottle, it's dark, moist, fresh dirt with just a little bit of "green" lurking underneath. On my skin is stays a very "dirty" scent. But fresh dirt. Freshly dug. After about 15 minutes though the dirt smell gets softer and there's an almost floral sweetness. I'm guessing from the moss. It has no staying power though and there's only much throw while it's still freshly applied. I've had it on for about an hour and I can barely even smell it anymore. Even when I put my nose directly to my wrist. I love it though. I wish it lasted longer. *sad*

My friend Melissa loves Hellion. She hoards it. I've had my bottle for awhile now but since it's on display with my statue and not with the rest of my BPAL I forget that I have it, so today is the first time I've worn it. I can't say that I love it. It's very sweet on me. I'm guess the plum is amping. And then there's this smokey overtone to it... So yeah, it's sickeningly sweet with a smokey "burnt" kind of tinge to it. It's an interesting scent but not one that I'll choose to wear often. I'll probably imp some of it out because I'll never use the whole 10ml.

This is beautiful. It's floral without being cloying or overly flowery. And the term "softly glowing skin" is perfect. This is warm and sexy and says "Come closer..." It gives me the mental image of a women provocatively tipping he rhead back for her lover to lean and a breathe deeply before he kisses her. Yeah. It's hot. I need a bottle of this.

In the bottle: A fruity floral with a dusty overtone. It's pleasant though. Like walking into the hay barn right after it was stacked. Wet: Pomegranate, black cherry, and wheat... and a bit of a green grass note. Like fresh cut grass. Very sweet. Almost too sweet... Drydown: Sweet and dusty. Dry. This is exactly the smell of a long day working in the fields bailing hay. Walking into the barn, lying down across a square bale, taking a deep breath and relaxing. The breeze bringing in the sweet scents from the orchard, the dust of the barn, the fresh mown hay... and sunshine. This is really nice. I like it alot but I'm not sure I'll need both bottles of it. I'll probably sell one. It really is a "harvest" scent though.

Wow. I adore this in the imp but had never worn it because I was afraid it would be too floral. I am determined to work my way through all of the imps I have now and start weeding out the ones I love and the ones I don't. I've gotten rid of the ones that I just outright didn't like. Now it's time to wade through the rest. I was so afraid that Amsterdam would disappoint me on my skin. But it's gorgeous. It is a floral, but it's very soft. The tulips and peonies blend perfectly, and since they are two of my favorite flowers this just thrills me. And the aquatic note is just perfect. It's so clean and fresh... It's like sitting on the dock on a sunny spring day with my feet dangling in the water. This scent makes me feel happy. I am so impressed.

This smells so good. Soft and sweet with a spicy undertone that makes it very intriguing. It's very foody in the imp. On my skin it smells even better. Very sexy and still the sweetness of honey and clove with the spice from the cinnamon bark and peppers peering through. Unfortunately though, the cinnamon hates my skin and within a minute or so I was red and itchy and burning. Bengal is going to have to be washed off and added to the sell/swap baggie. That's really disappointing too because this is a fabulous blend. It smells so good!

This smells so yummy in the imp. Not boozy at all but way more foody. A rich, buttery, toffee (?) scent. It's the same on my skin. Sweet and foody and thick but not overpowering at all. This is fabulous!! Although I still like Gluttony better.

I really thought I'd like this one. It has so many of my favorite notes in it, but I just don't think it works for me. It's very strong and heavy and on me seems to be all black amber and wood with none of the other notes coming through. It's a very sharp scent, and I've had it on for over an hour now. I'd hoped that the vanilla would smoothe out the other notes but I can't even smell it at all. I think Lucretia will have to find a new home. It's a nice blend, but not on me.

When I first put this on, it was all lemon. Pledge to be exact. That didn't last long though. Then it turned very sweet and smokey. I've had it on for about an hour now an it's still smokey and sweet. I can definitely smell the woods in this. The cedar is the strongest. Mostly I get the cedar and the patchouli with the florals just barely peeking through. I'm not liking this very much. There's just too much of that "smokey" note.

This is amazing. On my skin it's all white tea with soft undertones of ginger and the grapefruit keeps it crisp and bright. This really is a perfect summer scent. It's cool and bright and not too heavy. It has a moderate throw and and I've had it on for about two hours now without noticing alot of fading so I'm hopeful that it will have some good staying power.

In the bottle this is a very rich, deep, "dark" scent. Smelling it in the bottle I wasn't sure if I'd really like it. But on my skin it's fabulous. It starts out very strong and the red musk just takes over. But now I've been wearing it for about an hour and it's smoothed out alot. The red musk and the dark myrrh are still the dominant notes, but the sandalwood and amber keep them from being too bold. The frankincense is just hovering in the background and I can't smell the honey at all. This really is a beautiful blend. It's very exotic, sexy, and just a little mysterious.

I got a sniffy of this with an Ebay purchase. There is enough in the imp that I could wear this maybe three times. Maybe more since it doesn't seem to take much of it. I expected more considering how in demand and popular this is. But honestly? It doesn't do much for me. Wet, it's sickeningly sweet and I definitely smell the cigarette smoke in the background. As it dries down I still get a sharp, heavy floral with the smokey undertone. But now, if I sniff deeper and get past the top notes... it smells like a fried tortilla shell. Like a tostada! Yeah, not a winner with me. Which is probably good considering how hard this is to get!

This is a morpher. In the bottle the amber, sunflower, and honeycomb really stand out. Once I put it on though, it's all honey. So beautiful! I do love me some honey. I've had it on for about two hours now and it's gone to a very soft amber with just a touch of the neroli peeping out to keep it from going powdery. It's very light and seems to have faded quite a bit. It has a moderate throw still though which is impressive since it's so light. It really is a very pretty, delicate scent. I'm not sure though that I'll need two bottles of it. I might sell or swap my other one that is coming with my Harvest Moon order.
