Bottle: peaches Wet: sweet peach wine, gentle rounded, mellow, a little musk, definitely amber, not sure about the myrtle Dry: reminds me very much of a hair pomade I had once, in a good way, it’s buttery peach I was worried about this one, fruit, flowers, & musk combos tend not to work on my skin, but I think the lack of florals in this blend really makes it work on me, but ultimately it’s not a very me kind of scent. Lovely though.

Bottle: bitter orange, soft undertone, is that the heliotrope? Wet: orange, a little amber, this is a dry orange, almost reminds me of sweet hay in its dryness, but not as sweet Dry: fades pretty quickly on me, and not much of the frankincense ever appears Unfortunately, on my skin this blend reminds me a little of baby wipes and then fades quickly into powdery nothingness.

Bottle: sweet jasmine and gardenia with an herbal base Wet: this is definitely a jasmine heavy blend Dry: This one doesn't change much, jasmine, gardenia, herbal, maybe moss? Someone else mentioned horehound candy, and I do get a bit of that with the herbal base in this. I actually liked this better used in the bath, with the steam lifting the florals into the air, it was very soothing and did put me in fantastic mood.

Bottle: cedar Wet: sandalwood, cedar Dry: sandalwood, cedar, a little patchouli, a little myrrh, hardly any incense This is a straightforward cedar scent on me, very nice.

Bottle: sweet lemon tea Wet: sweet lemon vanilla tea Dry: soft sweet vanilla musk, hint of lavender This starts out as a beautiful sweet lemon tea, as the lemon fades, the musks move forward, blending warmly with the vanilla, with just a hint of lavender. Very nice.

Bottle: Cake! Wet: yummy vanilla cake with tangy currant Dry: Did I mention Cake?! This blend is yummy! A very warm, comforting, homey scent.

Bottle: Bubblicious bubblegum! Wet: yep, fruity bubblegum Dry: fruity, berry, bubblegum This blend is all sweet berry on me. A fine blend, but I prefer Bewitched, with its sage to counter the berry sweetness.

Bottle: earthy patchouli Wet: patchouli, but it's mild, blending well with the woods and lavender, just a hint of orange Dry: slightly sweet, earthy patchouli and woods I like this blend more than I thought I would, so far, I've really liked Beth's patchouli blends, which is surprising to me. This is a good grounding blend, earthy, woodsy, and dry.

Bottle: dark rich chocolate with a hint of myrrh Wet: the myrrh and sandalwood move forward to blend with the dark chocolate, and the vanilla adds a sweetness Dry: this scent becomes rich, sweet, almost incensey on me Myrrh loves my skin chemistry and I love the scent of dark chocolate, so it's no surprise that I love this scent. Inviting, warm, comforting, a little mysterious, and perfect for autumn.

Bottle: buttery nutty sweet Wet: maintains that buttery sweet, almost hazelnut smell Dry: gets a little dusty on me, I almost smell a little sandalwood? Caramel? This wasn't what I expected, and may very well be my skin chemistry. I was hoping for a little more of a pumpkin pie smell to this blend, but again that may just be how this is morphing on my skin. I much preferred the pumpkin note in Samhain.

Bottle: wow, this is a heady floral Wet: ugh! The sweet pea does not agree with me at all. It's all sour floral on me, no beautiful sage, no warm tonka, just cloying sweet pea Dry: nope. Not any better, a little musk, but this blend is all sweet pea on me Yikes. Now I know. My skin chemistry does not agree with sweet pea, it just turns it into stinky, sour floral. Ick.

    Dragon's Blood

Bottle: floral with a hint of resin Wet: I almost smell cherry blossoms, sweet, a little rose, creamy gardenia, jasmine, lilac Dry: sweet floral, a bit of earthy resin This is a gorgeous blend, it's very floral, and very strong, but sweet and creamy with a hint of spice and earthiness, definitely sensual, and exotic, and I'm excited to use this in ritual.

Bottle: it smells exactly like sweet irish coffee, yum Wet: wonderful irish coffee blended with the smell of wood, but more like wood furniture, and definitely books Dry: this fits the description exactly, coffee set on a wood table at a library, I am amazed at how perfect these scents are, it is distinctly the smell of wooden desks I love this blend, it's straightforward and exactly what I wanted from the description. My SO has nicknamed this scent "tweed".

    Count Dracula

Bottle: Holy Mama, this is hot! Wet: patchouli and coffin wood dusted with the scent of earth, then into a light blend of leather and musk, and here comes the warm spicy vanilla of the tonka Dry: warm ginger, clove, cinnamon, vanilla tonka, just a hint of neroli, just enough leather and musk, and a barely there earthiness This is sexy and mysterious, masculine and warm and biting all at once. It is definitely a masculine blend, but I have no problem wearing this one. Hella sexy.

    Wilhelmina Murray

Bottle: clean white florals with an intriguing creamy undertone Wet: soft clean white floral, the rose doesn't dominate at all, evokes a sweet white bouquet clutched in white lace gloved hands Dry: wow, this transforms into a slightly heady blackcurrant, dragon's blood, sandalwood, and myrrh blend on the drydown, with just a memory of the innocent floral, there is almost a metallic sharpness here. This blend really does transform from light victorian innocence into sweet, heady, darkness. And the floral stage doesn't bother me, it's clean and light, with that hint of what is lying in the shadows ahead, I am incredibly impressed and in love with this blend.

    Samhain

Bottle ; wow, I definitely smell the fir, the woods, warm mulled apple cider, there's something almost creamy beneath Wet: mmm woods, oh the patchouli is so nice in this, I normally don’t like patchouli, but it's subtle here, warm, the apple and the spices are in the background and the mullein is definitely lending an herbal tone, the scent definitely evokes the feeling of walking through autumn woods, the smell of the leaves underfoot, apple cider in hand Dry: beautifully round apple cider with a hint of pumpkin and spice, a little wood and herb, warm and slightly creamy This dries out to be predominantly apple on me, but an apple warmed in the autumn sun, ripe, round, slightly spiced, like the best cider with an undertone of leaf and wood and a mysterious hint of autumn air. It's amazing to me that Beth has captures in a bottle exactly what autumn air smells and feels like. Beautiful. ETA: this is a review for Samhain 2006, haven't smelled the others to compare

Bottle: cinnamon rose Wet: cinnamon rose Dry: it dries down a little powdery and old fashioned It's a very straightforward cinnamon rose blend on me, and the cinnamon is a really nice addition, blending beautifully with the roses. And the gypsy magic aspect of this blend was inspiring. However, as rose blends/love potions go, I prefer #20 Love Oil. Less rose, more herbal spice base.

    Les Fleurs du Mal

Bottle: lilac and wisteria Wet: beautiful fresh spring lilac, wisteria, and rose Dry: The rose comes out but doesn't take over, blending perfectly with the other florals I bought this blend for a friend who loves lilacs and roses. I think she will love this oil. I was really surprised at how much I like this oil. None of the florals get too overbearing and it doesn't get soapy or end up smelling like baby powder. It dries down so lovely. Very elegant and soft, like the pale, powdered skin of a Victorian lady.

    Fallen

Bottle: jasmine? violet? Definitely floral Wet: jasmine?, violet, rose? A hint of vetiver, predominately floral with hardly a hint of any of the other notes Dry: this dries down gorgeously, the florals rest on a bed of sandalwood and amber This was an interesting floral, elegant, complex, and didn't go through the soapy phase that florals sometimes do on my skin, I could defenitely smell the violet, which was beautiful over the amber and sandalwood, and the musk was not overwhelming or too powdery. This was definitely a little haughty and slightly withdrawn, and I would definitely wear this to match that kind of mood.

    Sea of Glass

Bottle: lemon Wet: lemon, a white green floral that I can't place, so familiar Dry: I still can't place the floral, it's blended so well, I want to say lily but if so, it's a really beautiful, light lily, so unlike any generic lily scent. As others have said before very white, very fresh, light. Yes, it definitely has a clean, bright water feeling, like the sunlight reflecting off of the water. This blend is just slightly sweet. It's reminding me of another perfume, or of someone who wore this kind of perfume, but I can't remember who. It reminds me of going to church. This is a white floral that I like, however, I'm not sure this blend is really me at all, and after wearing it for several hours, undecided, the complex associations this scent brings up for me are too much.

Bottle: almond Wet: almond, vanilla, honey, plastic doll smell Dry: it goes through a little dusty phase, oats?, and then settles into sweet almond vanilla honey This reminded me too much of vanilla lotion I wore in high school, and it settled into the plastic doll smell that vanilla sometimes does on my skin. Sadly, not for me. Still on a hunt for my perfect fairy scent, I'm looking forward to trying Queen Mab.

    Bewitched

Bottle: sweet blackberry with a hint of sage Wet: after a moment of sweet blackberry bubblegum, the sweetness mellows into the sage Dry: beautiffully balanced between the blackberry and sage, not too sweet, just enough of the herbal note to deepen the blackberry It gets really soft, not a powdery soft, but soft in a comforting way. This is a very cozy scent, feels purple and is balanced so nicely. I can definitely see this as a bewitching potion from a fairytale forest. This would be great paired with any of the Lush blackberry scents

    Litha 2006

Bottle: citrus floral Wet: honey, citrus of the vervain, spice floral, summer, carnation, bonfire, incense, wood Dry: warm, sweet, golden clover honey with a hint of thyme, honeysuckle, spicy carnation and yauhtli, a little daisy, copal and frankincense and a little wood This completely embodies high summer to me. It's so very warm and filled with honey, the clover smell of raw beeswax, and as it goes through its stages, I definitely get the oak surrounded glade with bonfires and incense burning, spicy carnations scattered about, wearing daisy crowns, jump the fire for luck, sun god golden, SUMMER

    Hungry Ghost Moon 2006

Bottle: grapefruit, vanilla, sugarcane Wet: grapefruit, aloe, rice wine, ginger candy, sugar cane, vanilla, this is complex, definitely pale and ghostly Dry: the incense and the sandalwood start to show, on me this goes through a short powder stage which fades quickly to a sweet sugar cane vanilla musk with hints of wood, resins, herbs, ginger, and rice wine. This blend is sweet, airy, ghostly pale and complex. Predominantly citrus sweet at first, it rounds out as it dries, but maintains the sense of something hovering. Gorgeous.

    #20 Love Oil

Bottle: lemon roses Wet: creamy lemon roses with spice underneath Dry: straightforward spicy rose I loved this. I prefer my rose scents balanced with earth/wood/spice notes and this fits perfectly. It definitely made me feel romantic and inviting. It faded quickly, but that may have been the insane heat that day. Beautiful blend.
