at first: a bitter berry scent. odd. on: about the same as in the bottle. half an hour later: i'm assuming that this i'm smelling the osmanthus, since i can't pick out the other notes. i don't really like this on me. 2.5 hours later: soapy. overall: clearly, my skin does not like this one.

Embrace your villainy: balsam, myrrh, mandarin orange, bitter clove, artemesia, rosewood, nutmeg, dark musk, smoke and cypress. at first: this smells very christmassy to me. on: fresh woods and sweet spices with a hint of smoke. this is really nice and perfect for winter holidays. half an hour later: super soapy. 1.5 hours later:still the same. 3 hours later: woodsy and incensy. overall: this just isn't something for me.

at first: candy cane. spot-on. on: cool, bright candy cane. very fun. half an hour later: sweet, but with an odd vegetable-y scent to it. 1.5 hour later:still about the same. 3 hours later: still the same. overall: some scents just do this vegetable thing on my skin.

at first: a sweet, earthy musk with a hint of plum. on: lovely. lots of patchouli and pomegranate, with just enough red musk to make me nervous. 1 hour later: sweet, heavy patchouli and musk. wonderful. 2 hours later: sweeter and more fruity. this is really lovely and heavy. 5 hours later: sweet and heavy. the red musk seems to be behaving itself. 6.5 hours later: sweet and still strong on the patchouli. overall: i am so glad that the red musk didn't ruin this one, since all of the other notes tend to work really well on me. this is a fabulous, dark, sweet, earthy blend. it will be perfect once the evenings start getting a bit chilly. -
at first: lots of bright, fruity flowers. on: really sweet and...blue? this is interesting. i'm having a hard time picking any notes out. i'm not sure if i like it. 1.5 hours later: still oddly blue and fruity. i'm getting some heady poppy in there, too. interesting. 4.5 hours later: soapy and fruity. overall: this is definitely interesting, but not something for me.

at first: tons of tobacco, cedar, and leather. on: i only put a tiny bit of this on, since it's so strong in the imp. i'm mostly getting cedar with a hint of leather. 1.5 hours later: this is so leathery that it's overwhelming. 4.5 hours later: just strong leather. overall: this just isn't for me. i really like dead man's hand, but i think the leather in this is too much on me.

at first: lots of lily and lilac. very pretty. on: a very white scent. pretty and soft. there's some sweetness from the ylang ylang and lots of powdery floral notes. 1 hour later: lots of lilac and lily. very pretty. 2.5 hours later: oh my...so much lilac. i'm loving this. 4.5 hours later: tons of lilac and heady white flowers. very nice. 6.5 hours later: lovely lilac. overall: this is just gorgeous. i love the smell of lilac, but it gets overwhelmed in some blends. i'm not sure if i'll end up getting a bottle of this, but i'm definitely going to hold onto my imp to satisfy my lilac cravings.

at first: a sweet, bubblegum/strawberry scent. on: wow. screeching, indeed. lots of sharp grapefruit. eek! 1 hour later: very fruity and fresh. a young scent. carefree. i like this a lot. 2.5 hours later: a powdery, sweet scent. candyish. 4.5 hours later: a lovely sweet scent. very pretty. 6.5 hours later: powdery and soft. overall: i was happily surprised by this one. it's a nice, fun scent, which i wasn't expecting. i'll definitely hold onto my imp, but probably won't end up buying a bottle.

at first: sweet and a bit watery. on: very sweet. 3.5 hours later: soapy and sweet. 8 hours later: powdery and sweet. overall: this isn't interesting on me. my skin sucks sometimes.

at first: a sweet, red scent. lovely. on: gorgeous. this is hard to describe, but it's lovely. 1.5 hours later: interesting. still sweet, but now with an wood-like base. 2.5 hours later: still about the same. this is really rich and deep. very nice. 4.5 hours later: musty wood with a bit of floral. overall: i adore this when wet, but it just ends up sort of wood-y and bad on me.
-
at first: amazing. sweet, but deep, too. i love this. on: fruit, but with a decent amount of myrrh. definitely purple.' 1.5 hours later: super soapy. the violet and plum blossom are rebelling. 2.5 hours later: all soap, all the time. almost violently sharp. 4.5 hours later: still horribly soapy. overall: i need to stay away from blossoms.

at first: a sweet, spicy incense. on: very odd. definitely a red scent, spicy and incensy. i think i like this. 3 hours later: sharp and spicy. i'm not so sure about this. 5.5 hours later: weird. a tiny bit soapy, but with some sharp pepper and something almost sweet. i'm having a hard time with this one. overall: this is really interesting, but not the sort of scent i would wear.
-
at first: a slightly sweet, slightly astringent scent. on: this is really interesting. i'm still getting some astringent notes, but i think they may be from the florals in this. there's some honey hanging out in the back, too. 3 hours later: just gernally sweet and powdery, i.e., all amber. pretty. 5.5 hours later: a bit sharp and floral, but with that powdery amber underneath. overall: this just isn't my sort of scent.

at first: yummy mint. this is definitely going to be the first snake pit oil i try out. on: tons and tons of mint with a hint of biting bergamot and some bitter green tea. i'm in love. 1.5 hours later: mostly minty. a bit biting, but very nice. 3.5 hours later: a sweet tea scent with a hint of mint. 5 hours later: soft, sweet mint. overall: lovely, lovely stuff. i don't get much snake oil from this, which is probably why it works so well on me. i'll definitely be wearing this one a lot. i think it will come in handy when i have a headache or when it's hot out, too.

at first: a sweet, white scent. i can definitely smell some coconut. on: lovely. this reminds me of the star a little, but with a lot of floral notes to it. very pretty. 1.5 hours later: a soft, sweet, creamy floral with a bit of coconut. 3.5 hours later: lovely. warm, sweet, creamy flowers with a bit of musk. 5 hours later: wonderful. this is such a lovely, sweet, creamy floral. i'm getting a hint of lemongrass, too, which brightens it up nicely. overall: i'm glad i got ahold of an imp of this because it really smells nice on me.
-
at first: a lovely, dark, violet scent. on: powdery, sweet violet. there's a bit of soapiness to this, but i'm hoping that the musk and vanilla bean with drown it out. 5 hours later: dusty and slightly floral. 6 hours later: pretty much gone. a faint, dusty floral. overall: this just didn't last on me.
-
at first: wow. this is lovely and sweet, with a nice bite of cinnamon. on: lots and lots of sweet cinnamon. 5 hours later: gone. overall: this just disappeared on me. at least it didn't burn.
-
at first: all i'm getting is sandalwood and a bit of myrrh. on: a powdery, floral scent. 2 hours later: incense with flowers. 4.5 hours later: very soft and powdery. a bit floral, but with some sweetness. 7.5 hours later: a slightly sweet, powdery blend. overall: this is just ok. not my sort of scent.
-
at first: bright green. on: still green, but with a hint of lilac and a bit of sugar. very nice. 2 hours later: this is really lovely when it wafts up to my nose. it's a soft, green floral. however, when i smell my wrist, it's really sharp and soapy. 4.5 hours later: soft, slightly soapy flowers. 7.5 hours later: soapy, powdery flowers. overall: this just didn't develop nicely on me.

at first: gorgeous white tea and verbena. on: the iris is coming out more now, and there's some smooth sandalwood underneath. this is lovely. 1 hour later: bright and lovely. i'm loving this. 4 hours later: soft, floral, and powdery. very nice. 7 hours later: warmer and almost sweet. however, this is still mostly powdery and a bit floral. overall: lovely, lovely stuff. i tend to fall in love with "men's" scents, and this is no exception.

at first: super sweet and foody. on: still sweet and foody, but a bit lighter. 2 hours later: incense and cakes. interesting. 5 hours later: very sweet incense. nice. 7 hours later: a fresh incense. overall: this is interesting. i like that the super-foodiness of it calms down after a while, and that it ends up being a nice, simple incense scent. very pretty.

at first: heavy flowers. quite lovely and fresh. on: this smells fresher on and not as heavy. very pretty. 2 hours later: tons of flowers and a bit of musk. pretty. 5 hours later: super sweet and heady. pretty. 7 hours later: this one really lasts. it's a powdery, sweet scent. very pretty. overall: this is lovely stuff. it keeps wafting up to my nose randomly and it's a nice, pretty scent. it's mostly just sweet and a bit musky on me.
-
at first: sweet herbs. on: more dusty now. i mostly smell the woods and a hint of incense. 5.5 hours later: powdery herbs. 7 hours later: powdery, sweet herbs. overall: this might be nice for layering, but it doesn't really work well alone on me.
-
at first: lots of pine and wet, green notes. on: salty and wet, with a decent amount of pine. this is a dark sort of green, not a fresh, happy-forest sort of green. 5.5 hours later: very musty and leaf-like. a decaying sort of scent. 7 hours later: a little softer, but still decaying leaves. overall: this isn't a scent for me.
