so far, all i know is that it was built in 1924. chicago has tons of bungalows, and they were mostly designed as obtainable single-family housing for immigrants, the middle class, etc. the city has lots of good programs related to bungalows, and one of them is for researching the history of your bungalow, so i'm definitely going to go to that lecture.

at first: lots of apple and something watery. on: super apple!!! 2.5 hours later: a soft, apply scent. this reminds me of one of the strawberry shortcake dolls i had when i was little. 4 hours later: light and apply. overall: i'm not sure about this one. the apple is pretty fun and light, but i'm not sure if it's really me.

at first: this is very wet. there are lots of violets and a bit of wood. on: pretty violets. a bit wet. 2.5 hours later: musty violets. not so good. 4 hours later: generally floral and a bit sweet. overall: this just didn't work on me, which sucks, since i reallly thought i'd like it.

at first: very pretty. lots of rose and bergamot. on: lots of rose and sandalwood. 1 hour later: very, very strong rose. i don't think i can handle this. 2 hours later: a soapy floral 4 hours later: a soft floral. pretty. overall: this just didn't work on me, which is rare for a rose blend.

at first: green, sweet, and a bit sharp. on: a bit sour. sweet. i can smell the almonds. i can smell a bit of coconut, too. 1 hour later: much better than at first. not as strong and pungent. i can still smell the honeyed almond milk, which i'm not sure if i like. there's a touch of sandalwood, which is nice, but i'm not sure if it's nice enough to make this smell good on me. 2 hours later: a soft honey scent. 4 hours later: honey. overall: as usual, the honey takes over on me. however, i didn't like this oil at the beginning either.

at first: very, very sweet. like cherries. on: there's a hint of sweetness, but it's mostly herbal and woody. i can definitely smell it, but there's a lightness to it, too. 2 hours later: much lighter and a bit soapy. overall: this just ended up disappearing on me. no fun.

at first: lots of flowers and fresh, juicy fruits. on: lovely, sweet, watery lotus with some citrus, pretty flowers, and sweet amber. i can actually smell all the notes in this, which is pretty cool. 2 hours later: all sweet, candy-like lotus, but drier. 3.5 hours later: a dry, pure, lotus scent. overall: i'm so glad i nabbed an imp of this. it's very simple, but nice.

at first: floral, but...with an almost gritty feel to it. on: very sweet, but interesting. i can smell the musk, sandalwood, and jasmine, too. 1 hour later: sweet flowers with some musk and sandalwood. very pretty. 2 hours later: a sweet, somewhat fruity scent. overall: truly gorgeous stuff. i'm not sure where the sweet, fruity note came from, but i like it a lot.

at first: a gorgeous, cool bouquet. on: pretty, soft flowers. a bit soapy and a bit sweet. 1 hour later: sweeter. very creamy flowers. gorgeous. 2 hours later: still gorgeous. sweet, creamy flowers. overall: this is lovely, lovely stuff. if i end up reaching for it a lot, i might get a bottle.

at first: very warm and dark. on: lots of patchouli and myrrh, with just a hint of sweet ylang ylang. 1 hour later: sharp and soapy with a dirty sort of earthiness. i don't like this. 2 hours later: yup. the dreaded red patchouli is going bad on me. overall: yet another blend ruined by my skin's aversion to red patchouli.

at first: i think i smell dragon's blood in this. it's very light and soft. on: darker. definitely dragon's blood, but with some other notes. 1 hour later: mostly dragon's blood. very light and pretty. 2 hours later: dragon's blood and a bit of something earthy. very sensual. overall: this is a very sexy sort of scent. i'll be keeping my imp.

at first: lovely. bright and a bit sweet. on: gorgeous! lots of peach and bergamot, with a bit of white musk and heliotrope. a bring scent. 1 hour later: still bright and cheerful. lighter and not as sweet. still mostly peach, but with a stronger musk and oakmoss. 2 hours later: mostly musk and oakmoss. overall: i like this at first, but i don't think i'd wear it often.

at first: all i'm getting is a gentle, white rose. lovely. on: gorgeous white rose. lovely. 1 hour later: slightly sweet, with that lovely white rose. very soft. 2 hours later: very soft. vaguely sweet. overall: it's so hard for me to part with bpal rose blends, and this is no exception. a truly romantic, though slightly cliche, blend.

at first: ooo...lots of caramel and tobacco. this smells amazing. on: all caramel. really sweet. 1 hour later: lots of tobacco and other dry notes. 2 hours later: spicy and darker. overall: this is a bit too sweet for me at first and the drydown is a bit too dark. it just isn't me.

at first: very fresh and green. on: dandelions! this is fabulous. 1 hour later: vaguely weedy. very soft. 2 hours later: very summery. this isn't as strong as before, but it's still lovely. overall: a definite keeper. i love the fresh smell of dandelions.

at first: a sweet, wet, and slightly sour floral. interesting. on: white, cold, and floral. it's a bit damp and a bit sweet, with a hint of something incensy. 1 hour later: a light musk and lots of flowers. very pretty. 3 hours later: very, very soapy. 4 hours later: softer, but still soapy flowers. overall: this just didn't work out on me.

at first: gorgeous, exotic flowers and a hint of honey. on: very nutty and a bit fruity. there are some interesting flowers, too. 1 hour later: gorgeous. this sort of reminds me of the smell of a lush store. sweet, but with lots of other scents swirling around. 3 hours later: definitely a lush store. honey scents, fruity scents, florals, and some herbal stuff. lovely. 4 hours later: softer. mostly sweet. overall: lovely stuff. i'm definitely keeping my bottle.

at first: wow! buttered popcorn with a hint of sweetness. on: wow. lots of butter! totally like hot, buttered, salted popcorn. 1.5 hours later: the butter isn't as strong, but there's still that popcorn smell. odd, but nice. 2 hours later: very faint. slightly sweet, but still popcorn-y. overall: this was quite a pleasant surprise. i only have a little bit in an imp, but i'll be keeping it.

at first: vetiver. eww. on: this smells like cola. and vetiver. 1.5 hours later: vetiver with a hint of something else. 2 hours later: all vetiver. overall: not surprisingly, this scent doesn't work on me.

at first: lots of lavender and flowers. on: lavender and jasmine. a bit sweet. half an hour later: lots of jasmine, musk, and rose, with a few other flowers. very pretty. 1 hour later: this has gone really, really soapy on me. 3 hours later: still soapy. overall: unfortunately, this just went way too soapy on me.

at first: sweet, with a bite to it. on: pretty. lots of apricot and other sweet scents, but with something dark underneath. half an hour later: a lot more vanilla and jasmine. very pretty. 1 hour later: soft and sweet. there's definitely more of a gingery feel to this now. 3 hours later: very pretty. soft, sweet, and fruity. overall: this is very nice, but i really prefer depraved.

at first: definitely clean. a bit salty, too. definitely watery. on: gorgeous. mostly clean, but with a salty, watery feel. there's something almost sweet to this, too. 1.5 hours later: still clean, watery, and a bit salty. this smells like tears. it's amazing. 2.5 hours later: cleand pure. overall: this is gorgeous stuff. i'm glad i nabbed an imp of it for myself.
