at first: tropically fruity. on: a sweet fruit, with some sharpness to it. 1.5 hours later: warm and tropical. this smells so juicy. 2 hours later: still sweet and warm. very lovely. overall: this probably won't be a perfume for me, but i'll be using it as a meditative aid.

at first: this is really pretty. i'm getting mostly the grasses and flowers. very nice. on: wow. this reminds me of something. it's very fresh. i think it might just be the scent of grass. 1 hour later: there's a hint of berries, but this is mostly wildflowers and grasses. very lovely. 2 hours later: still fresh, with a hint of sweetness from the berries. overall: this scent is so unique and refreshing that i have to keep it. it would make a great body spray, especially in the spring.

at first: this smells like a rose that is so dark that it is almost black with fresh dirt on it. on: this reminds me of carnation and rose...but only a little. 45 minutes later: a dusty, pale flower. i think i may be getting lilac. 1.5 hours later: lilac and...honeysuckle? very pretty. overall: this is pretty, but not something i would wear.

A play of geological darkness and jagged brilliance. Soft and luminescent with flashes of black fire. at first: vanilla and...rocks? oddly lovely. on: this smells like hot rocks and vanilla. amazing. 45 minutes later: this is getting sweeter, but those hot rocks are still there, too. 1.5 hours later: still the same! overall: i absolutely adore this. i'm so glad i have 5ml of it. i have the feeling i'll be reaching for this one a lot.

Old Nick, the Devil himself, as seen through the eyes of Victorian New England. A jaunty, dapper scent, deceptively genteel: a lavender fougere with tonka, amber, rosewood and a whiff of diabolical patchouli. at first: i can definitely get the lavender and a hint of patchouli. on: i'm getting lots of lavender and patchouli. half an hour later: very nice. the amber and tonka have come out, and there's a woodiness to it, too. 2 hours later: this is beautiful. i mostly smell tonka, amber, and patchouli. lovely. overall: this is quite a pleasant surprise because i wasn't sure if i would end up liking this. it's so lovely and warm that i'm definitely going to be keeping it.

at first: foody and fall-like. spicy and sweet. on: very juicy and fruity. the spices come out right behind the fruits. perfect for fall. half an hour later: warm and spicy, with a hint of sweetness. the fruits all seem to have disappeared. there are also some warm, spicy flowers in the background. 2 hours later: warm and sweet. spices and sugar. overall: this is nice, but i don't think i'll be reaching for it often.

at first: violets! light and very bright. on: soapy, which worries me, but cool. 1 hour later: powdery, vaguely sweet violets. i don't know how, but this is very cooling. overall: i took this with me on a very humid vacation and it was amazing. i really like it, and will definitely be using it a lot when the weather warms up again.
-
at first: chai! overall: i'm not doing a blow-by-blow review of this because i just adore it. it's spicy and warm, and is totally chai. it's quickly become my cool-weather favorite.

at first: chocolate! on: definitely chocolate. this is so lovely. it isn't as sweet as bliss. i can definitely smell the wine and a bit of honey. the tobacco is there, too. so lovely! 1 hour later: soft and dusty. i still mostly get chocolate, but there's a floral bit to this, too. 2.5 hours later: still chocolate-y, but dry. 5 hours later: the honey is really heavy, but i can still smell the chocolate. overall: i seem to do very well with the darker, drier chocolates from bpal and this is no exception. lovely stuff.

at first: interesting. vaguely sweet. on: definitely coconut and something else. light and sweet. 1.5 hours later: just generally soft, sweet, and coconut-y. overall: nice, but not a keeper.

at first: a masculine floral. on: this is an angry scent. the lavender (which i usually like) and vertiver (which i usually don't) are so disturbingly strong. this really isn't looking good. 1 hour later: this is reminding me of numb a little bit. there's a lovely violet / musk / lavender combo floating around me. i can only smell the vertiver if i sniff my wrist directly. 2 hours later: still very numb-like. overall: this might be a good replacement for numb when and if i run out of it.

at first: very fresh and clean. not what i expected at all. on: wow. this is so clean and bright. i can't really explain it. it almost has a soap-like quality to it. oh, and there's something playdough-like to it, too. weird. half an hour later: this is so bright! i love musk and this is just delicious musk. i adore this!!! overall: it got a tad soapy toward the end, but i really like the brightness of this. unfortunately (or fortunately), i have a bottle of oisin that satisfies my bright musk requirement.

at first: pretty. definitely floral. on: a watery floral. fresh and damp. i think i'm getting some rose, but i can't pick anything else out. 1 hour later: i'm smelling jasmine, but that isn't listed as one of the notes. odd. 2 hours later: very sharp and soapy. poor me. overall: this just turned out bad on me.
-
at first: sweet and candy-like. definitely pink. on: this is more syrupy on me now. odd. i'm not sure if i like it. 4 hours later: this is powdery and vaguely sweet, but barely there. overall: i'm glad i didn't end up getting a bottle of this. it just isn't for me.

at first: so very dark. lots of leather and woods. on: very, very earthy. there's also something sort of menthol-y. this is beautiful. it's very cozy and soft. half an hour later: so pretty. this is sweeter now, which i'm assuming is from the tonka. i can also smell the incense and a paper-y scent. this is lovely. 1.5 hours later: sweet and wonderful. i adore this. 3 hours later: darker. mostly incense. overall: i'm not sure about this. it's lovely, but i'm not sure how much i'll wear it.
-
at first: floral and light. very interesting. on: dark, but...not heavy. cool. i get tons of the notes, but especially sandalwood, ozone, and leather. very interesting. half an hour later: the leather is most prominent now. it's still dark and cool. 1.5 hours later: still dark, but nice. 3 hours later: cool and dark. overall: this is nice, but i'm not sure i would reach for it often.

at first: definitely bright and firey. i'm a bit wary of the cinnamon. on: lovely. fruity, spicy, and earthy. great for fall, i think. 2 hours later: all i'm getting is cinnamon. 3 hours later: the peach has come out much more, and i can smell the clove and the cinnamon. the patchouli is in the background. overall: this is really the perfect fall scent for me. i like that it's almost foody, but not quite. i'll definitely be grabbing this one a lot once the weather starts cooling off.
-
at first: very soft. i think i can pick up the violet, but not much else. on: a touch soapy, but not sharp. this is very fall-like, but hard to explain. 2.5 hours later: soft and a bit warm. 3 hours later: very, very soft. overall: this is really beautiful, but...i'm not sure if i'll keep it. i might just end up holding onto an imp for myself.
-
at first: a very soft, worn, brown leather. it reminds me of this leather bomber hacket i wore when i was younger. on: pure leather, soft and brown. i like this a lot more than i thought i would. 1 hour later: even softer. very nice. comforting and familiar. 2 hours later: still that cozy leather. overall: this is just a fantastic scent. perfect on its own, but even better when layered with other ones.
-
at first: watery, but...with something else. i can't place it. on: very salty and dark. odd. i don't like it. it's very masculine. it's more of a dark, overgrown river than the ocean or a placid lake, if that makes any sense. 1 hour later: this very masculine and strong. it's sweet and salty at the same time. not me at all. overall: i usually adore scents that are supposed to be watery, but this just did not work for me at all.
-
at first: light and fresh. on: citrussy or...maybe it's ozone. interesting. 1 hour later: odd. salty. 2.5 hours later: salty and powdery. odd. very light. overall: this just didn't do anything for me.
-
at first: hot! on: this smells earthy and hot. 1 hour later: something spicy and hot, with those earth notes underneath. overall: all of the elementals seem to have some sort of earthen quality to them, and this is no different. however, none of the elementals really spoke to me.
-
at first: sweet, fresh, and pretty. on: very nice. bright. it reminds me of the star, even though it doesn't smell like it. fruity, but in a pineapple-y sort of way. 1 hour later: a very fruitily sweet floral. reminiscent of lotus, but...i really don't think it has lotus in it. 4 hours later: light. very faint. slightly powdery. overall: this is nice, but i have other bright scents that i like better.
-
at first: it's clean and simple. i can't really pick out any notes, but i like it. on: i can't place it. it's a bit sweet, but there's something almost menthol-y to it. interesting. 1 hour later: a very green, fresh scent. 3 hours later: faint and green. overall: this is a nice, unobtrusive scent. it might be good for a night in.
-
at first: i can't really pick any notes out of this. there are a lot of different scents, but they aren't chaotic or competing with each other. on: very, very green, but warm, too. 10 minutes later: this is so much spicier than when i put it on. very interesting. 2.5 hours later: still warm, but more earthy. 4.5 hours later: as expected, this is very faint now. overall: this is nice, but not something i'd wear as perfume. i'll be using it more for meditative purposes.
