at first: pretty and interesting. i think i smell anise and something sort of antiseptic. on: interesting. i think i'm smelling anise and some sort of alcohol. or maybe a wintergreen sort of a scent. odd. 10 minutes later: this is so totally toilet bowl cleaner on me that it's making me a little nauseous. 2 hours later: this is mostly gone and i'm left with a fainty herbal scent. nice. overall: another non-perfume tarot oil for me, but definitely something i'll be using in other ways.

at first: a fresh, green rose. on: a very green rose with some dustiness to it. 1 hour later: very, very sharp. overall: i like beth's other rose blends better than this, so i'll be using this more for practical purposes than as a perfume.
-
at first: dark and thick, with some soft flowers in the background. on: very strong. vetiver? 10 minutes later: while heavy scents like this usually make me feel a bit suffocated, this isn't. it's strangely calming. 2 hours later: still heavy. this is definitely not something i would normally like, but i'm drawn to it. there's a bit of citrus peeking through now. 4.5 hours later: more mellow. nice. overall: i don't know why i like this, but i do. it's my year card for 2006, so that's definitely a good thing.

at first: so simply and beautiful. strong, but unassuming. it smells like some sort of stem. on: this smells like the stems of flowers when you cut them. very nice and fresh. cool. 3 hours later: a sharper floral. 4 hours later: more mellow. very nice. i can't pick any notes out, though. overall: another tarot oil that i'll be for meditation and reflection.
-
at first: very bright. citrus and spice. on: very warm and rich. interesting. 1 hour later: warm, but i can't pick anything out. 2 hours later: very faint, but still warm. overall: this isn't really "me", but i like it. i'll be using it for meditation.
-
at first: herbal and floral, with an aquatic undertone. on: odd. i think i smell anise, but with something dark and herby. 2.5 hours later: warm and more masculine. the anise is still there, but there are other spices along with it. overall: lovely. i think i will wear this occassionally as a perfume as well as while meditating.
-
at first: sweet and lovely. i'm getting maraschino cerries, and that's it. on: sweet and almondy. 1 hour later: still sweet, but not as strong. there's an airy floral to this now. overall: this didn't really make much of an impact on me. i'll probably just be using it for meditative purposes.
-
at first: something menthol-like, but it might just be very, very strong lavender. on: fresh and almost fruity. light and clean. a bit ozone-y. 2 hours later: i just get the fainted hint of a fresh scent. this is pretty much gone. overall: another oil to add to the meditation pile.
-
at first: something sharp, reminiscent of ozone, but not ozone. on: really sweet and fruity. there's a darkness to this, too. i think there might be anise in it. 1 hour later: warmer. dark with a hint of something fruity. very lovely. 2.5 hours later: very light. spicy and a bit powdery. overall: nice, but not a perfume for me.
-
at first: some amber, but mostly an almost aquatic, sharp note. definitely reminiscent of crystal. on: wow. if glass had a smell, this would be it. very clean. 1 hour later: very pretty. it's cleanly aquatic and almost soapy. there's a gentle sweetness underneath. 1.5 hours later: this is sharper and masculing on me. overall: while this is nice, it isn't really something i would wear.
-
at first: strong, dark woods. on: there's something lighter surrounding this, but it's mostly dark, earthy notes. 1 hour later: light and fresher than at first. overall: earthy and i don't usually get along, but this is ok on me. it definitely reflects earth very well.
-
at first: simple, fresh flowers on: freshly-cut carnations sitting in some water in a florist's shop. gorgeous. 1 hour later: a woman from my office told me that she really liked my perfume. then, a few minutes later, she came around again and remarked about it. right now, it's more powdery. actually, i think it's more of a sweet pea scent. it's nice. ok, a few minutes after i posted that last sentence, i got ANOTHER compliment from someone else. needless to say, this is a keeper. 5 hours later: powdery and slightly sweet. overall: this is just gorgeous. i usually don't get compliments on my perfume because i don't wear a lot, but this one was definitely different. i might buy a bottle of this at some point.

at first: i love dragon's blood. almost fruity, almost floral. gorgeous. on: beautiful. sweet and floral, but unlike any flowers i've ever smelled. definitely a powerful scent. lovely. 1 hour later: powdery and lovely. 2.5 hours later: still lovely. not as powdery. wonderful. overall: i just adore dragon's blood. there's also something about this that gave me a good surge of energy. it just makes me feel powerful and secure.

at first: almonds and cherries. on: much sharper. pine, i think. there's still that sweetness, though. very interesting. i think i'm getting a tinge of peppermint, too. 1 hour later: there's an interesting incense that has appeared. nice. the sweetness is still in the background. 4 hours later: just the lightest hints of incense. overall: this is quite a morpher. i like how it goes from being strong to gentle pulling me in. definitely a very nice one. the later phase would definitely be nice for meditation or yoga.

at first: i can smell lots of cocoa and barely a hint of fig and pomegranate. interesting. on: beautiful. like some sort of chocolate with fruit in it. the lemon is very apparent. wonderful. dry cocoa. sweet, but not foody. half an hour later: lovely and sweet. this reminds me of the lemon strawberry shortcake doll (lemon meringue). it's fabulous. 1.5 hours later: lovely. sweet and floral. this is gorgeous. there's a definite fruity feel to it, too. 3 hours later: very soft. this has faded quite a bit. overall: i really adore this. it does fade rather quickly on me, so i'll probably decant an imp and carry it around with me when i want to wear it. like the description says, it does seem familiar to me. if could just figure out why...

This is just a reminder that listing "best offer" in your swap / sale thread will result in it being made invisible until it is changed. This also goes for not listing anything as far as price next to an item in your sale thread.

at first: this smells dark, but minty. very interesting. the sandalwood gives it a nice, smooth texture. on: slightly weird, but nice. lots of mint. half an hour later: airy. dark, but with the coolness of peppermint. 1 hour later: pretty and smooth. the mint is still there, but in the background. 2 hours later: softer. still wonderfully floral, but the mint is mostly gone. overall: this is really beautiful. i love how dark it is.
-
at first: very fresh, with cool flowers and some spices. on: lots of gorgeous flowers with a lovely light musk. half an hour later: the spices are coming out more. there's almost a citrussy feel to this, but it might just be from the musk. 1 hour later: the spices and musk balance well, as far as giving the blend some warmth and some coolness. i really like the flowers, too. 2 hours later: just generally floral. pretty, with that gorgeous musk. the spices are still warming it up. overall: i'm glad i just went ahead and ordered a 10ml bottle of this. it's very lovely.

at first: a burning and burnt scent. on: very odd. not me at all. i don't tend to get along very well with "fiery" scents, though. 1 hour later: more floral, with that burning scent in the background. a lot nicer than i thought it would be. 3.5 hours later: interesting, but not in a good way. overall: this is definitely a scent that reflects something being destroyed. i wouldn't wear this as a perfume, but it will be interesting to use as a meditation aid.

at first: very, very earthy. i think i smell pine. very nice. on: definitely earthy. waaaay earthy. i think i'm getting some vertiver, along with a lot of pine and other earth-type things. 1.5 hours later: softer, but still earthy. it has a bite to it, which i'm attributing to the oakmoss. overall: not a perfume for me, but definitely something that i could use.
-
at first: beautiful flowers, with something sweet underneath. very white. i think i get some jasmine, too. on: warmer than in the imp. there's something spicy to this, but i'm not sure what it is. possibly pepper of some kind? there's also a very sweet, powdery jasmine. nice. 1.5 hours later: lovely jasmine. this is sweet and wonderful. it's very comforting, to the point where it's making me a bit drowsy overall: i really like sweet, powdery jasmine, so i can definitely see myself weearing this as a perfume. it will also be nice when i need something calming and comforting.

at first: this is a sweet mint that quickly turns more herbal to my nose. on: so minty and cool. there's definitely something fruity, too. actually, it might be lotus and not a fruit. 1 hour later: sweet and light. i adore this. it's definitely mint and lotus on me. lovely. 2 hours later: not as strong, but still nice and cool. 3.5 hours later: this is hovering much, much closer to my skin now. it's hard to pick out any notes, but it's generally floral and cool. overall: this is a great, chilly blend. i can definitely see myself wearing this as perfume on hot, sticky days.
-
at first: fruity and cool. like fruit punch with ton of ice in it. on: sweeter, but definitely fruity. maybe passionfruit? i'm also getting anise. woo hoo! 1.5 hours later: mostly anise with something almost woodsy to it. i really like this. 2 hours later: very light. this has an almost effervescent feel to it. it's still sweet and fruity, with a base of wonderful anise. 3 hours later: very soft a light. mostly anise, with a soft powdery veil over it. overall: i could definitely see myself wearing this as a perfume. what can i say? i love anise.
-
at first: almost sweet, but not quite. there's some sort of incense-like scent there, too. on: i only put a tiny bit on because, well, cinnamon. this is strong and fiery. it actually hurts my nose a little to smell it. 1 hour later: cinnamon. this is making my hand itch a little. 1 hours later: lighter, but still all cinnamon. overall: this is, clearly, not something i can wear.

at first: white flowers. on: laundry detergent-y, but with some soft, wet, white flowers in the background. interesting. 1.5 hours later: very, very soft. there's almost a sweetness here, but not quite. very light and fresh, and not soapy. 5 hours later: very soft. powdery. nice. overall: i have a few fresh, clean scents at the moment, but i might end up buying this if i ever get sick of them. just a nice scent.
