at first: pretty and, above all, interesting. a crowded blend. i can't really pick anything out. on: at first, i smell something grassy. however, it warms up right away. it's a bit citrussy and a bit spicy to my nose. interesting, but i'm not sure i like it. 1 hour later: weird. this just isn't me. it's a bit biting, but a bit...almost foody, too. i think it's the spices in it. overall: just not me.

at first: the lab tossed this in with my last order. this is so gorgeous. i mean, it's amazing. i can smell the mexican cocoa, rum, and red wine. it's wonderful. on: delicious cocoa. i'm so glad i'm not getting the coffee note that others have, since i can't stand the smell of coffee. i can smell the rum and red wine, too. this is beautiful. 2 hours later: still sweet, but more from the wine and rum than the cocoa. still beautiful. overall: i really love this. i may eventually end up getting a bottle.

at first: a freebie from the lab. very, very sweet and heavy. i can mostly smell the honeysuckle and spice. on: sweet, heavy, heady flowers. very nice. i think i smell a bit of lilac, too. half an hour later: this is so beautiful. it's a really dense scent, but i really love it. gorgeous. 2 hours later: a little too soapy for my tastes. overall: if this stayed the same as when i first put it on, i would definitely keep it. unfortunately, it doesn't.

The name translates to “the beautiful woman without mercy”, and is the title of an old French court poem that was later revamped by John Keats. A bewitching, seductive scent, rife with mystery and foreboding. at first: the lab tossed this in as a freebie in my last order. it's a bit to heavily floral for me, i think. on: a slightly odd floral / herbal blend. 3 hours later: this is...ok. it's just a vague scent. it's strong, but i can't pick the notes out. there's something sort of tangy to it, but it's mostly flowers and herbs. overall: this just isn't me. one for the swap pile.

at first: this was a freebie from the lab. very pretty in a traditional sort of way. very floral and soft. on: very floral. it's hard to pick any particular notes out. i'm also picking out a hint of sweetness and some citrus. 2 hours later: powdery and a bit sweet. reminds me a bit of antique lace at the moment, but is more floral. 5 hours later: powdery and sweet. soft. overall: this is nice, but i'm going to let my antique lace keep me company. i may nab a bottle if i'm in a supremely / sweetly feminine mood.

at first: woody. please don't let this be cedar-ific. on: cedar. ick. 45 minutes later: this is...intruding on me. i keep smelling it, but i don't want to. it's like it's forcing me to smell it. it's still mostly cedar. 3.5 hours later: luckily, this has mellowed and my skin has turned it into something sweet. overall: needless to say, if/when this is released, i won't be getting it. cedar is my enemy. i'll be ditching my imp.

at first: the lab tossed this in as a freebie in my order. lotus, lotus, lotus! actually, this is the firt blend in which i've smelled the "bubble gum" note from lotus that people often mention. very nice. on: lovely! a very fruity lotus scent. very sweet and light. 5 hours later: a soft, vaguely fruity floral. overall: this was just ok, so my imp will find a new home.
-
at first: fruity, like apricot and cherries. maybe something tobacco-like, too. on: fruity, with something else underneath. 1 hour later: a bit soapy with a nice fruit scent to it. i can't quite place the fruit, though. 4 hours later: more sharp on me now, but i can still smell something, which i'm assuming is pineapple, since that's what so many others have said. overall: just ok. not something that blew me away, so i sent my imp on.

at first: wow! sweet roses, sharp roses, soapy roses, powdery roses. this is amazing! on: can roses be juicy? if so, then these are some juicy roses. this is divine. 1 hour later: sweet, powdery roses, but still juicy. i love this. 2 hours later: sweet, and still a bit juicy. these are the fruitiest roses every. there's a bit of dustiness to it, too. very nice. 5 hours later: this is lasting really well. still a beautiful bouquet of all sorts of different roses. overall: although it isn't as green or fresh as rose red, i think it will be an excellent compromise when i run out of that. it's just very simple and lovely.
-
at first: this is just a perfect lilac scent. on: delightful. i love the smell of lilacs, and this is just perfect. 2.5 hours later: very, very sharp and soapy. poor me. 7 hours later: this has disappeared. overall: this just didn't work for me. poor me, eh? hopefully, it will find a better home. i'm glad i have some bat's blood, since that's a fantastic lilac for me.

at first: wonderful. a very sophisticated floral scent. on: this belongs in one of those really expensive antique perfume bottles. it totally smells like a scent that would come out of one of those. it's floral and...just lovely. 1 hour later: a bit too sharp for me, but i'm hoping it mellows. 2 hours later: nice. almost watery, but that may have more to do with the humidity here than the perfume itself. overall: if it weren't for the musks in this, i think it would have turned too soapy on me. however, after a while, the musks tamed it down. it's not a favorite, but it is very lovely.

at first: the lab included this as an extra. rose and some other light scent. very pretty. on: a wonderful blend of rose, lily, and lotus. 2.5 hours later: dusty and gorgeous. a very "perfumey" perfume. overall: a fabulous blend, but i have too many rose and lotus blends already.
-
at first: i'm smelling some sort of alcohol. interesting. on: so impossibly dark. i wasn't expecting that. very deep, too. 1 hour later: there's something almost snow white-like wafting around me, but the smell closer to my skin is a whole cacophony of notes. i can really only pick out a hint of cardamon. 4 hours later: this has faded quite a bit, but it's still very dark and lovely. i'm really surprised i like this one. overall: quite wonderful and very unique. i'm glad i got to try this one.

at first: amazing. wonderfully soft and powdery, with the sweetness of the vanilla on: gorgeous. very soft and powdery. vanilla perfume overall: i just love this! it managed to stay pretty true to the original scent the entire time i wore it. the description is right-on when it mentioned long-faded perfumes. i think that's where i'm getting a lot of the softness from. this is a wonderful, cozy scent.

at first: grapefruit ahoy! i love it. on: wow! so much grapefruit. wonderful. however, there's an odd, foody note in the background. 2.5 hours later: i'm still getting that fantastic grapefruit scent. the weird foody note is gone (hurrah!), and this is just fabulous! overall: this definitely gave me tons of energy, so i guess it works. it just kind of kicks your ass when you need it most. fabulous stuff.

at first: the lab included this as an extra. i hadn't noticed the description before, but it sounds like something i'd really like. a sweet, fruity floral. very pretty and summery. on: super fruity! this reminds me of peaches or apricots, even though there aren't any in the blend. 1 hour later: so fruity. i really love lotus. there's also the dusty sophistication of the roses. 4 hours later: lovely. it's almost reminiscent of persephone on me. overall: beyond amazing. i love this! however, i have so many lotus scents that i probably won't get around to buying a bottle.
-
at first: the lab included this as an extra in my order. it smells like maraschino cherries. on: sweet. i'm definitely getting a maraschino cherry note, but with something darker underneath. 1 hour later: still sweet, but also going sharp and slightly soapy. 2 hours later: this is wonderful. the soapyness has disappeared, and it's now a soft, warm amber, with some damp lotus peeking through. i can smell the cardamon, too. this is lovely and sexy. 7 hours later: this is more powdery now, but still very nice. i still get that sweet scent wafting around me. this is such a sexy scent. overall: this is just unspeakably sexy. i adore it! if i end up wearing it a lot, i may buy a bottle.
-
at first: i simply had to get a bottle of something described as "the scent of air and darkness". it's a perfect description, too, since i can't quite grasp this. on: wonderful. very light and hard to grasp. something almost floral and almost salty. 2 hours later: still that slightly odd, salty scent. i love this! 6 hours later: considering how light this is/was upon first applying it, i'm amazed that i can still smell it. it almost has an effervescent quality to it now, almost sparkling. still a bit salty, but...wonderful. overall: i am so glad i purchased a bottle of this. it's just wonderful. indescribably wonderful.
-
at first: i am so glad i ordered a bottle of this. very cold. lots of mint and cucumber. on: amazing. mint, mint, mint. wonderful and sweet. 1 hour later: this is still wafting around me. i put a lot on because mints tend to disappear on me, and it's still very strong. 3 hours later: the pepper is much more apparent now. very nice. it mingles wonderfully with the mint. i love this! the cucumber is there, but just in the background. 6.5 hours later: very light, but still there. a nice balance of pepper and mint, with the slightest tinge of cucumber in the background. overall: i adore this! i'm so glad i bought a bottle. i'll definitely be using this often.
-
at first: wow. this is such an amazing blend of fruits and flowers. on: so amazing. it's mostly fruity, but the flowers are definitely there, too. a wonderful summer blend. half an hour later: this is so light it has almost disappeared. very musky and powdery. 1 hour later: i added some more because this pretty much disappeared. overall: how odd. this didn't last on me at all. i'm going to try it out a few more times, since i'm hoping it will be a light (bot not non-existant) summer scent.
-
at first: a perfect blend of lavender and chamomile. on: this is beautiful and very calming. overall: i love to put this in my hair and on my arms before i go to bed. it's just wonderful.
-
at first: warm and a bit biting. definitely floral. on: i really don't like this. it's making me uneasy. i think i smell some sort of wood. half an hour later: wow. this is a lot sweeter now, almost like amber. 1 hour later: this reminds me of a sweeter version of the incense they used to burn at lenten vespers at my old church. 1.5 hours later: very pretty. i really like this. overall: i'm so glad i have a bottle of this. it's so interesting.
-
at first: flowers that are almost soapy and fruits. on: hmmm...light and a bit fruity, in an apply sort of way. i smell a flower that i like; it might be lily. half an hour later: weird. this is very heavy. beautiful, but...so heavy. not oppressive, but...heavy. 1 hour later: sharper, but with a bit of fruit to it. interesting and festive. 1.5 hours later: still very pretty. softer and a bit sweet now, too. overall: this a really great spring scent. i'm so glad i have a bottle. 2006 version... at first: sweet, but grassy and floral, too. on: gorgeous and lush. still sweet, with lovely grasses and flowers. very nice. 2.5 hours later: very soft now. sweet and floral. 6.5 hours later: generally soft and warm. overall: this is ok, but not something i would wear often.
-
at first: i'm getting a wonderfully sweet, watery lotus scent. woo hoo! on: lovely. lotus, lotus, lotus! 1 hour later: a bit sweeter, but in an almost fruity way. still mostly lotus. 3 hours later: lighter and but more generally floral. i really like this. 6.5 hours later: more powdery, but still sweet. i love this! overall: i'm so glad i bought a bottle of this. it's just wonderful. i might decant an imp and sell off whatever left of the rest of the bottle, just as a symbolic gesture.
