Wet: The almond is very strong, not the amond-extract smell I was expecting, but a more natural almond, with something hovering just behind it. Saffron? There is something else, that smells like that cherry italian soda syrup, mixed with almond extract. Cherry extract. I'm not at all sure what I think of it. Drydown: The cherry extract has receded into the background, so far as to be almost imperceptible. The almond has mellowed out a little, too, and given way to something incensey, but sweet enough that I can wear it. I like? I love! A little later: It's gone soft, probably the amber letting itself peek out a little. It's simalar to the lion, but without the overwhelming cinnamon/powder smell. 2 hours later: I smell honey! Mmmmm.

The sweet pea, I think. Those are some of my favorites! Never tried them as rainy scents....

It rains a lot where I live, so I have been looking for a rainy scent for a long time. For a while Annabel Lee was satisfying that, but my dad is allergic. Any suggestions?

Without looking at the notes: It's a very cloying, thick scent, which puts me in mind of honeyed plums. I'm trusting to my instincts here, and I've never smelled honeyed plums, but that's what it made me think of. Now I look at the notes I'm rather surprised- how could I smell plum in that? But I did. Weird.

Nope. It does none of those things. It doesn't do the opposite, but I'm not exceptionally lucky or happy. It smells a bit like Lolita, with a smell that I can't place. (Anybody surprised? I thought not.) I hoped it would be peach-y or apricot-y, but it's not, and I don't really like it. Darn.

Anne Bonny is more than a bit boring on my skin. In fact, it is so boring, that I can't even remember what it smells like. I think there was some patchouli in it, but I can't recall anything else. Oh well.

Pipe tobbaco. Really vile pipe tobbaco. Yuck. I don't get any mystery and it's not sinister. If I wanted pipe tobbaco (which I don't) I'd prefer Hellfire.

Whoa. Rubbing alchohol. Or bleach? This is not a keeper.

Patchouli, cedar, sage? Very woody (naturally). After a while I could have sworn I was wearing The Lion. ????? Overall, it's okay, but I think I'll stick with The Lion. It has the non-bonus of my sister hanging on to my wrist, too. Edited.

This is a clear, citrusy scent, not really like nails at all. Hmmm. It smells like a perfume sample from Vogue magazine, the perfume mingling with the smell of the pages. Only more citrusy. Maybe a citrus perfume? It does some morphing later on, but by that time it was making my throat hurt and I had to wash it off.

Wet: I don't know. Menthol, mint, pennyroyal? Later: the sinus-clearing things mellow out a bit, and I smell sweet candlewax. Scented candles, but I'm not sure what they're scented like. Is there cypress? It's OK, but I don't really care.

Pennyroyal, mint, why does it smell almost creamy? No lavender, which is sad, I love lavender. Wow it's gone! It's only been on fifteen minutes!

Chocolate, gingerbread, cookies, and something else. It smells like a kitchen on Baking Day. I like it!

All I smell is pipe tobacco. Correction, all I pick out is pipe tobacco. It didn't seem overly strong, but I can still smell it faintly, sixteen hours later. Well, I like the scent, but I wouldn't wear it. I don't particularly want to smell like tobacco.

Wet, this is dry and a touch bitter, but in a nice way. As it drys, the sharp floral comes out, but it doesn't overwhelm the scent. Whatever's in the background keeps jumping from sweet, to dry and bitter. After a few hours, the sharpness dissapears. Unfortunately, shortly after that, so does the rest of the scent. It's nice though. I'm keeping it.

In the imp: Oh no no NO. Besides the white floral waiting to come out, there is also a "fresh", "clean" scent. I put it on anyway. Wet: FRIED RICE!? There is almost a pear smell, too. And honeysuckle, if you really look for it. Dry: There is still fried rice, which doesn't make any sense, but it isn't really foody, more spicy. There is a lovely floral in the background (I didn't know floral could be lovely), and the pear reminds me of some liquid pear soap some friends have. Which is not, by the way, soapy. Sadly, this faded within an hour.

I did not actually try to pick out any notes, except vanilla, because I was too busy thinking what a beautiful scent it was. I will try again another time and list some notes. If this wasn't already a keeper for my mom, it would be now.

In the imp: Interesting. Wet: This is, in all probability, the weirdest scent I've ever sniffed. I can't place a thing, so I won't try. It isn't very pleasant, but it's different. On the drydown: I think it isn't just jasmine that hates my skin. This smells really harsh and soapy too, it smells like what, up until now I have identified as jasmine. Lemon, perhaps? A few hours later: Less harsh, but just as soapy.

Ugh. Floral hates my skin. In the bottle: Nuit has all the makings of a nasty, jasmine-y white floral. And yet I apply..... Wet: It certainly doesn't dilly-dally! The jasmine takes over almost at once. Drydown: It actually never got to drydown. I don't see the point of wearing unpleasant perfume that one's already smelled, so I washed it off.

Mmmmm. Wet: Minty. There is a candy store in Astoria which sells a kind of candy called Mint Melt-Aways. They come in pink and green and yellow and have hundreds and thousands on the bottom. They are the perfect candy. This is what Mad Hatter smells like. On the drydown: Vanilla and pennyroyal. Mad Hatter smells so good. I love the Mad Tea Party.

For the first half hour or so, this scent was gorgeous Rose. After a while though, it went soapy. Not unbearably soapy, but enough to spoil it. After about two hours, it's almost gone.

In the bottle this is really fruity. On me, this is cleaning chemicals straight away. It may change, but I doubt it.

Another one I don't know how to describe. Wet, it's slightly nostalgic. Dry, it smells like jasmine, which always goes soapy and harsh on me. It's not working very well, which is too bad, I suppose, because I really love the color.

I don't really know what I think of this scent. For a little while when it was wet it smelled fruity, almost like skittles. I smell the milk and honey really strongly and also the white pepper. I cannot describe it, really.

This smells like a powder box of some sort, like with a big pink powder puff on a fancy dressing table. My mom has a little black case with tunisian amber in it, and this is what I was sure I was smelling... until I actually sniffed the tunisian amber. All the same, its a lovely scent, its really light, but its a keeper anyways.
