In the bottle, Crypt Queen is tart.. with just a hint of spice (pepper?). I think I can smell a bit of the patchouli in there, but it's very faint. On my skin, she goes very earthy.. just how I would expect a crypt to smell. Surprisingly, the patchouli and rose don't come out much at all. It seems to be all pepper with the faintest kick of raspberry, which is such a relief to me. I'd hate for her to be all old granny rose. Great job! I've been looking for the perfect Halloween scent, and I think I've found her.

Reviewing off my mom, who volunteered to try a pumpkin one for me. In bottle: Very buttery, and sweet - almost cakey.. On skin: The buttery/sweet smell dies down to a spicy (clovey?) scent. Not at all like the two other pumpkin ones I've tried. All in all, I'm not fond of the pumpkin scents, so this one gets passed on.

eee! Those are the three I got as well.

In the bottle: Juicy and floral. A lot lighter than Fire Pig (in the bottle it smells like Fire Pig does on my skin.) I can't pick up much of the grapefruit, but definitely the flowers and kumquat. Not overly citrusy..but definitely tangy. Wet on skin: Even more tang. I can pick out the grapefruit, and that's pretty much it. There isn't a hint of the florals, and just abit of the kumquat. Dry on skin: The florals make a surprising resurface to match the grapefruit. What a lovely blend. And it had staying power. 5 hours after application, I'm still getting whiffs of myself. A definite keeper.

I was wary about getting any of the Pumpkin scents. Someone was nice enough to give me the remnants of their Pumpkin Queen decant a while ago and it hated me. In bottle: A very creamy pumpkin pie with a slight hint of something sweet. Wet on skin: The pumpkin amplified, which I suspected it would. Drydown: After a few minutes, there is little to no trace of the pumpkin. Instead it is a very sweet, almost bubblegum scent (if I sniff really hard, it's almost like the pear in Glitter.) Verdict: Not an immediate winner in my book, but it's going to the "maybe" stack.

Grandmother of Ghosts: In the bottle - all I get is florals with a faint hint of fruity. But very sweet as well. Wet on skin - immediately turns boozy...with a mix of fruit in there somewhere. Dry on skin - The best I can compare this one to is Fire Pig. It's fruity, faintly floral. And has a lot of staying power. Amazing. There is just the faintest hint of the pepper.

Death Cap... mushroom... earthy... I wish I got earthy from this one - I'd love to have another (maybe spicer) scent like Zombi. But Death Cap goes very spicy on me. It's not terrible, but it's not an instant "I Love It" either. I'll have to give it another try later on.

Three months?? I've had one held up for one month and was driven completely batty, but three? Yikes! And the longest wait for a BPAL was about 2-2.5 weeks after Customs got a hold of it. I didn't know that all mail came through BC and ON though. That makes me (sort of) feel better for being in BC.. even if it is the boonies.

Neat! I guess I keep finding the 'normal' GC ones to get 5mLs of then.

Aeaea: I was wary of this one because I don't wear ozone or aquatics very well. In the bottle: Very slight aquatic scent, but mostly floral. Good sign thus far. On my skin: I hate to do this comparison, but I smell like a Glade air freshener. And love it. It's a lovely tropical fruit-floral blend. Very soft and subtle.

Chaos Theory III: DCCLVIII (758?) In bottle: It smells of something foody (maybe cookies?) and just the slightest hint of a mint. (The mint reminds me of my spearmint soap..) On skin: It turns very creamy, very vanilla-y. Again, with the hint of mint though. It's not strong like Tokyo Stomp's vanilla-mint, but very subtle. There is also something almost floral after it dries down. Previously reviewed by joseybird.

Are there more special GC labels then?

Since it's a GC, I think it'll look like all the other GC's. I got the Phantom Wooer and it's the same as my other GC bottles.

I really wanted to love Moscow.. In the bottle: holy rose! A faint hint of the other notes, but mostly rose. On my skin: My skin amplifies rose like it amplifies cherry, and neither turns out for the better. All I got was a lot of rose. Pass.
-
In the bottle: Very subtle cherry with a bit of something darker. On skin: Still very subtle cherry with a hint of chocolate. Normally this combination doesn't mesh well with my skin, but this was so faint I could wear it without the cherries going medicinal on me. Wet and dry, it was the same light cherry-chocolate scent.

That's so cute! I wasn't expecting that either. Wow

Dorian was one of my "shits and giggles" purchases - mainly purchased because my beloved's name is Dorian. In the bottle: Very sugary, slightly floral. I think it smells different from the imp to the 5mL. The imp smelled more floral to me. On my skin: The musks really come out over the tea and foody scents, which I'm extremely glad for. I'd hate to have to give up this one. Dorian is definitely one of my Top 5. Love at first sniff.

Burial reminds me very much like an autumn day, all woody/earthy with a sort of decaying smell to it. I find it very hard to love the earthy scents, and this one isn't one of those. It's just going real foul on my arm.

In the bottle: Just as I expected it to be - very cinnamony with a softer smell of almonds. On my skin: All cinnamon. Fabulous. I bought an imp of Inferno in my first order over a year ago and I could not wear it, as the oil burned my skin. Too bad. I loved the scent though, and got a 5mL so I could use in my diffuser. (Cinnamon-aholic? Me? No way. ) I'm not sure the difference between the bottle and the imp, but I have no problem with the oil from the former being on my skin. Weird. But lovely!

CT2: CCCIX (aka 309) This was another random E-bay "Hey.. this sounds interesting, I think I'll get it" purchase. And, once again, I'm glad I did. In the bottle it is a light mint with just a slight whiff of florals. Wet on skin the mint is just amplified, much to my delight. (I'm a mint-a-holic.) Dry on skin the florals just take over. Not as much appreciated as mint overload, but still a really lovely scent all-around. I wish it had some staying power though. Previously reviewed by Digital_Hypoxia.

Carnal - A friend has a candle that smells EXACTLY like this and only brings it out at Christmas. I love this one, it's very fruity. Not to mention it has staying power. A few hours later and I could still get strong whiffs of myself. I paired it with Allison Gross today and smelled the way holidays do in my house.

Allison Gross - I bought this from e-bay on a whim. Normally I don't do herbal scents, but I really do like this one. It's very green - not herbal, but pine. And rather musky. It truly does remind me of Christmas time. I didn't find any florals in this one when applied to my skin. It doesn't have much throw either, but I hadn't applied a lot. Paired with Carnal, I'm ready for the holiday season!

In the bottle I found Caliban to be quite tart. Wet on my skin, the tartness was amplified. Dry, it's a wonderful explosion of sweetness. I vaguely remember the scent, but I can't quite put my finger on where I smelled it before. It sort of reminds me of my grandmother. I wasn't sure if I would keep this one until I sniffed myself a few hours after application and loved it then. If I can just get over the initial dry down, this one is a real winner for me.

Perfect timing for me to receive UGH. I woke up with the worst ache in my neck/upper back. Not a good for rubbing an imp all over - and I was dreading the scents of these. They remind me of some remedies my mother used for a while. But after rubbing the wand on my neck (and rubbing it in with my fingers - woo) I smell very lemonny. And I don't hurt quite as much. (I'd need the 5mL for my ache today.) This makes me want to get the 5mL.

In the bottle, Veil smelled soo lovely. I couldn't wait to try this frimp. Unfortunately, it went straight to soap on me as well. Like Tokyo Stomp, it does layer well on me.
